The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera shrugged lightly, letting his arm rest on her slim shoulders. "Wandering the market for the most part, with breaks here and there. Listening to people talk and spreading more. I do have some news though. Akila and I went off at one point, doing something in your name. So that should help bring esteem to your name." She told him easily, leading him into the room. She gestured imperiously for Akila to bring them food, as if she hadn't just been friendly with her moments before. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila nodded, serious faced, and retreated down the stairs to the Inn's tavern. The wine was already in his room, but food would be necessary.
"Ah, did you?' Clorogne raised an eyebrow, going into his room, "And what was that?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled, leaning against his desk. "You remember the mother that came to us on the last peasant hearing day?" She asked reminding him of the woman. "Well, we found her daughter. We told the mother you had sent us. It'll make people think better of you, having ordered the helping of a peasant." She explained easily. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Hmm, yes, yes, that certainly does help." At first he didn't really seem to care, but now he just looked distracted. "You would never betray me, right, my darling?" Something had him spooked.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera's smile fell at his words. She looked confused at the sudden change in topic. She moved to sit on Clorogne's lap, putting one hand on his cheek to make him look at her. "Never. Never, never, never." She told him quietly. "I would never even think of betraying you. Did something happen today?" She asked him, sounding worried for him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Just word from the dessert." Clorogne tried to shake off his paranoia. It was a lie, there was no word from his favorite cook or any of the servants...maybe that's why he was nervous. In any case, He just simply rested his head against hers.
Hearing a soft knock on the door, he looked up as Akila entered, balancing 2 trays. Both of cooked chicken and potatoes.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Word from the desert?" Aleera asked, her eyes confused. She nuzzled Clorogne. "What could the desert know that you don't? I'm right here, serving you faithfully. Come, perhaps some food will clear your mind." She took one of the plates from Akila, holding up a bite to Clorogne's mouth. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Clorogne nodded a little, and almost smiled when the food was pushed toward his mouth, biting into it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera took a bite for herself as Clorogne chewed. Once he'd finished his mouthful, she held up the goblet. "Some wine to clear your mouth?" She offered lightly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila exited the room quickly and quietly, going to her room.
Clorogne nodded, "So sweet of you," took the goblet from her, lightly, and took a gulp of wine as if his mouth were dry. "It was a long day, for some reason. There were a lot of letters/messages to be sent." he put the goblet down, moving his shoulders.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "All the more reason to relax in the evening. You mustn't let yourself be worn out, before you even take the throne again." Aleera told him softly. She slipped one hand around his neck, massaging his shoulders. "You mustn't let people place such a toll on you. You're more important than any of them." She cooed to him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "See? Nothing to worry about." Aleera said with a smile. "You have food, wine, and a pretty girl. Or at least, I think I'm pretty. Do you think I'm pretty? Or do you prefer blondes?" She asked, looking up at him innocently. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Hurt started to flash through Aleera's bright green eyes but it was quickly replaced by surprise. She smiled shyly. "No. I'm the lucky one. Not many people can claim to be so close to such a powerful man." She shifted slightly, leaning against him. "Few people are as protected as I am. Though that doesn't always help." She added in a mutter, rubbing her throat. The tiger that should be....isn't....
