The steps that lead to the Great office of the Arashikage, were oddly intimidating to Shinji as he made his way up them. His mind constantly running over if he had made the correct decision to leave his mother in the hands of his cousin or not. However, no matter how much he thought about it this was the only way he could live the life that he wished to live. Taking a final moment to breath in slowly as he looked up into the sky one last time before he made his way in. Looking in he could the movement of the Arashikage's assistants hard at work with their paperwork as he made his way towards her office. Noticing a few others inside already he decided to hang back and wait for them to leave, so as to not disturb their conversation. Shinji could hardly believe he was truly a ninja now as it had seemed that his dream would never come to be but now he is here and he was ready and determined to prove himself worthy of the Village that he lived in.

Rieyar rather sheepishly looked at the box of, well, they supposed it was just a box of tart now that the plurality of them were gone. They had hoped to snag one, even if just part of one, to easy their slightly frayed nerves, but had been far too intimidated by the ferocity of the Storm shinobi's assault upon them to dare ask for one themselves. Instead the lanky child simply fidgeted nervously as Kaito explained what had happened, trying not to think about the sight that had greeted their eyes between the dainty fingers they peered through. "Don't say it like that, it makes it seem like we brought it back with the tartsssssah errr, I mean tart." For their part Rieyar didn't know why they were back here, but it didn't seem like assisting in the menial tasks of Kumoito was a particularly good use of their time at the moment. The Empress had her own resources, and aside from the woman's own injuries, it didn't seem like there was much that needed the attention of a medic - unless Rieyar was suddenly going to start specializing into reattaching heads, a thought that made them visibly shudder.

Trailing In behind Takao a now rather disheveled looking Lilou silently be obviously panted her way into the office, using both hands to press against her legs as she bent over to breathe. The problem was her legs had shifted stages of matter to a more jelly like substance, so leaning on them just amplified the wobble, why the hell did she as a puppeteer run the journey….she should have flown. Lilou caught the fact that Takao was looking at her and after holding up a finger to indicate she needed a second, Lilou would conjure a sheet paper with the words ”She had some seriously fantastic puppets, they had so much character you wouldn’t believe! She turned the sheet around at this point to reveal more writing on the back ”I gave her a comprehensive report on the Jashinisht my group encountered, it appears that she may have known or knew of one of the attackers in her past, the one named Saiko.” She would again turn the sheet around and now the writing on what was originally the front of the paper, had now somehow changed. ”I also saw what I think was a delegate from the Amegakure as we were leaving? I wasn’t really paying attention but I know I heard the man mentioned being there on behalf of the Rain. Iono if that’s worth mentioning but it struck me a bit odd.” That was the last of what she had to say as she lent back and took a seat in mid air, giving an expression of relief as she took the weight off of her legs and onto an half real chair that was barely visible to those who looked.
Now a funny thing would happen to Miyuki and any other of Evergreens chosen in the room(at least one title rank in the religion.). As the young woman had produced the paper, the written message would almost feel like second hand knowledge, each of these people understanding the majority of what the writing said just before she produced it, though some specifics were lacking. A reason it was hard to understand was this would be a first for them to experience this and the fact that Lilou wasn’t intentionally using this method of communication and so it was less precise than possible and was happening due to her actual want to share the first price of information and continued from that point, the information would be clearest to Miyuki as she was the focus of her words, though she kinda wanted everyone to know.

Hotaru and Seo had separated since their departure from Konoha. The two followed in closely behind Takao to give their brief on their mission. It was a rather short one with very little details that had to be discussed, so the twins mostly decided to be quiet at the moment given they really hadn't done much. Afterall, the guy they fought at the academy was just some nobody and not as important as this Saiko guy or any of the other jashinists who had been attacking the village. They wished they had managed to get into that fight though. They would have helped take down Saiko for sure. Instead of adding to the report all the twins really ended up doing was bowing and allowing the other two to do all the talking for them.
Miyuki looked up to see Takao and his squadron arrive, Kaito and Rieyar not far behind. She examined everyone's body language before anyone spoke, though she wasn't put at ease with what she saw. She was glad to hear about the Hokage's cooperation, but the Empress' situation was one she had been rather uncertain about, so it was good that that seemed fruitful. "I did not know the Empress baked," Miyuki mused aloud as she looked at the singular tart in a box filled with a disproportionate amount of crumbs. From what Rieyar said, it was clear the Empress had had a few treats she intended to be brought here. She let her gaze linger on Kaito, though any amusement she felt quickly evaporated at the news about Satoshi.
"He's holding the Rain hostage, then?" There wasn't an extensive report on Satoshi, even in the office. His academy records were here, but he hadn't been in the village long enough to garner anything like commendations or something personal she could use to learn about his psyche. He was a wild card, but also a known blemish on the reputation of the Storm. Her eyes narrowed in Lilou as the puppeteer added about the Amegakure delegate. "He's trying to go through diplomatic channels? After taking over a country by force?" On second thought, paperwork on Satoshi probably wouldn't help. She couldn't rationalize his line of thinking.
And then a letter arrived from Kenshin. "One moment," she said to everyone in the room, for she had a gut feeling it would be relevant to the matters at hand. After reading it, she put it down and let her eyes slide closed, taking a deep breath before continuing. "There's going to be a kage summit," she said softly, her expression appearing only a tenth as tired as she felt. "If any of you have a burning desire to go, speak now. Otherwise, I appreciate your work on these diplomatic missions. I don't have any brilliant plans in the work that I can reveal to any of you; it appears I'll have to go here and see what the plan is for the Jashinist threat. The only thing I can ask of each of you is to make sure you feel ready to take on the Jashinist threat that is growing on the horizon. If you need any help in that process, let me or my secretary know what you need and we'll do our best to accommodate."
She then turned to acknowledge the silent man in her office. She managed to plaster a smile on, hoping it covered for the fact that the world seemed to just about to burn to the ground. "Shinji Hyuuga, how can I help you?" It was important not to intimidate the newer shinobi, because she needed their confidence to lead their work ethic. They needed to be able to protect themselves.

Shinji would turn and look at everyone else that had entered and listened to what they had to say for a moment before hearing the Arashikage acknowledge him. The hard pressed smile was refreshing even though from what he had heard he knew something was going on.Lady Arashikage. I was wondering if there were any missions that you needed me to complete or if I was being assigned to a squad? Though hearing what is going on I feel the urge to train more and prepare for anything that might happen. I wouldn't mind accompanying you on your journey, though I understand that others more qualified would be better. Finishing his what he had come to ask as well as some of the information that was going on in his head, he would simply stand there awaiting a response while also taking a better look at the others in the room. Taking in their faces and expressions as well as mannerisms. Maybe my statement was a little too bold to to say now that I see all of there higher ranked shinobi here. I hope that I didn't sound like an new born babe wishing to play in the big leagues before getting any real combat experience. Was all that he thought as he closed his eyes and took a look down almost embarrassed that he was so bold.

The medic bowed deeply at the Arashikage's thanks, but quietly saw themselves out. It was likely they'd end up in the middle of all this either way, but for now they needed a break from the place that was actively seeking to stir up blood obsessed cults.

tabThresher let out a light groan as she stretched her arms over her head, walking through the Spire with a casual gait. Her own diplomatic trip with Akari had been boring and long, evidenced by the Hoshigaki’s drawn out yawn. “‘Least we did get somethin useful to report…” Thresher grumbled sleepily. She shook the weariness from her noggin just before opening the door to the Arashikage’s office.
“Hey M’yuki, we’re back!” The jonin announced. There was a pause before it seemed like she remembered something and fixed his loose posture to a more attentive stance. “I mean, Lady Arashikage, we’re back from our mission, ma’am!” Seeing her girlfriend in a position of such power would be hard to get used to. At least when it came to proper etiquette that Thresher wasn’t used to. She hadn’t even given Toso, what many would consider, “proper respect.” Upon being welcomed by Miyuki, Thresher seemed to relax. On some level it made her feel at last a little better that the Kage was looking just as, if not more, tired than she was.
“Our trip to Zaishin was, uh…” A Success? It hardly felt like it. It wasn’t a mission that the woman felt like she could’ve failed, even if she’d wanted to. “... Finished?” Thresher sounded unsure as she completed her thought. She did reach behind her, rummaging through a small bag that she hid underneath Kabutowari, and produced a folder. “I did get some intel abou’ the people tha’ attacked us.” The Ninja Hunter handed Miyuki the folder and crossed her arms over her chest. “Seems like the samurai got targeted too, but wit’ a much smaller group.” Zaishin’s lack of technology kept them from getting proper photos, but the artistic recreations inside the folder seemed pretty spot on if Thresher had to guess. “A mute man that could control wood… and a woman with tattoos and a black cat. Seems like we weren’ th’ first.”

A pair of feet walked alongside the two girls, as the smallest of the group would remain close to them with his weapon holstered in its sheath by his side, a design of a roaring waterfall engraved in a soft golden color by the hilt. Seiichi's eyes were everywhere when they had arrived back in Arashigakure. The first wonder of the world outside of his home village would have been the fact that the villagge was an airship of sorts! He asked question after question to Miyuki and Thresher, some of which even they probably wouldn't know the answers too if they weren't expert engineers of how they worked. He bounced up and down in his little set as they rose to the great lengths of the water leading to the village. It was nothi9ng short of amazing at watching himself ascend above the ground below. His ears popped a bit and the air grew a bit more thinner for him as he was so used to being on land, but nothing that a samurai couldn't handle! So many sights to see, so many things to learn and explore. There were pieces of technology and other things to explore with that many would have only dreamed of back home. Regardless, the boy remained focused on the mission at hand.
Thresher led the way back towards the kage's office, which was the Shogun equivalent title, even if it did sound a bit silly. You couldn't be a shadow if you were so far up in the sky. It was strange but he was away from home now, and thought better than to ask why they had chosen such a name for a title out of respect. "This is the Arashi...kage's office?" he asked while wandering a little ways besides Thresher while doing his absolute best not to stare. It was hard not to, she was a sharkwoman! How gray and cool were skin way, and the tail. Seiichi had wondered just how close to an actual shark she could resemble at times. "I was expecting something like the Shogun's Throne Room. I really do feel like I'm from a century ago up here." the boy pouted. Everything was vastly different from what he had grown accustomed to being "normal" back home. Everyone wore such thin clothing now, compared to his more modest robes that hung from his slender frame.
The woman of the hour would start off by improperly addressing the kage and catching herself, then documenting what they had uncovered in Zaishin. Seiichi's heart would begin to race, dreading when her attention would fall onto him and why the kage would ask had they gained another body during their initial two body journey to the following village. he waited the proper moment before clearing his throat. "I-It's an honor to meet you, Arashikage." A deep bow came from him, his medium length, messy hair rustling at the sudden drip before returning to its natural state once he was upright. "My name is Seiichi, a member of the Seiryu clan in Zaishin and acting on behalf of the Shogun as an envoy. He brings you good tidings and wishes you well."

Hotaru and Seo stuck around long enough to hear about the plans of the Kage summit. It seemed things were getting more serious with each passing minute. However, they didn't have anything else to report to the Kage, so they figured it was best to leave when they first got the opportunity. 'I guess if uncle Kenshin is gonna be busy, we're gonna have to find another way to unlock the tenseigan so we can help the next time those guys show up.' Seo said, her mind immediately upon what was next for them. 'I suppose so. I know we can do it without him anyway.' Hotaru replied in telepathy as they both began to leave the building in pursuit of whatever came next, having given the proper goodbye to all those around.
"Too bad we weren't the ones to deal with that... uh... emperor? Daiymo?" Akari paused a moment to think back. "I guess his title isn't worth the time to think about since, it's kinda useless now." The woman shrugged a bit, her hand gently patting Ao. "Wait here girl." She'd say to her friend before entering the building with Thresher and Seiichi shortly behind. "Yep this is the Arashikage's office!" Akari smiled as Seiichi asked his question. As they went through the building she would even give Seiichi a small tour. Although it was short lived as they entered the kage's office. Akari decided to stick with a bow while Thresher was a little more personal for her greeting. The woman couldn't really blame Thresher, the transition of power wasn't that long ago and it would take a lot of people time to get used to it. "There was also some strange development regarding a character named Chahito. I guess the guy is being removed from his position by the military in response to him admitting to patricide. He also called us animals, so he got what was coming to him." Akari's arms moved up and crossed in front of her as she mentioned Chahito, it was clear she was rather bitter about being called an animal. It probably wasn't the most important information, but Akari figured that the Arashikage would like to know about the other happenings of the mission. "Arashikage, I wish to leave the village again in pursuit of these Jashinists. Some of my family members went with them for some reason and I intend on bringing the home. They're my responsibility and I've raised them since our mother passed So, I know it may be dangerous, but as one of the older siblings, it is my duty to get them back. No matter the cost." Akari's mind was made up. Regardless of the Arashikage's answer, Akari was leaving this village. After all, she was really only a resident there.

It would seem that mentioning the Ame delegate had some merit after all, by what Miyuki and others here were saying, the rain had been usurped. An uncommon frown would find itself crossing her face as she realized who had taken control and a small sense of foreboding coming over her as she didn’t know what this would mean for the future of things. Still she was far too tired to worry about things like that at this moment, simply paying attention to what was going on and not doing anything to interrupt. The letter that Miyuki had received seemed to hold some important news, a Kage summit in regard to the recent goings on, it was good to know that actions were being taken so soon after the dark gods followers moves against and acts of terror. In all honesty as much as the mime supported the summit, she didn’t feel any urge to go for personal reasons. Things like seeing her dad and spending some time with him as they hadn’t had much opportunity of late was her current priority, it also supplied her personal time to prepare for the things to come. She would stand up from her quasi real chair which would cease to be, giving an affirming nod toward Miyuki and a wave of a hand before turning away to glide quietly out the office.

Shinji's immediate willingness to commit to the kage summit made her smile, genuinely. She wondered if that undying loyalty, that heartfelt commitment to safety of the shinobi world, was all it would take to save the world from falling to pieces. But she had responsibilities to him, much as he had to her. "Some of the most powerful people in the world are going to be there, and not all of them are of a sound mind. I cannot quite justify taking you from your training just to accompany me there, but I honor your willingness. I want you to train as normal, but please reach out to me or my secretary as soon as you know what path you will take in this village."
She acknowledged him and the few others would turn to leave, Lilou and the twins. To Akari's request, she thought on it only for a moment. "You will be careful," she said authoritatively, knowing it would be useless to hold the woman back, and it would be hypocritical to demand she stay when the other shinobi leaving for his family left without much fight. She would need to keep the Chahito details in mind, however.
She finally turned her gaze to Thresher and Seiichi. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Seiichi. And I am glad to have you back," she said to her girlfriend, politely stifling a laugh at the way Thresher danced between informalities and formalities. She immediately sobered at the intel on the Jashinist attackers, remembering her task at hand. "Saiko," Takao growled between gritted teeth at Thresher's description. "He's the worst of all 'em. He took Chomei from me 'til Kenshin came and fixed things." He balled his hands into fists for a few moments before he remembered himself.
In the clearing-out office, he recalled the other thing he needed to discuss. "Lady Arashikage, we need to discuss some... internal corruption," he said so quietly that Miyuki had to lean forward to hear him. At what he said, Kaito sucked in a sharp breath and looked to her knowingly, and Miyuki groaned internally at the realization that there was, undoubtedly, something big about to unfold in her office.
She held a hand to Takao, but nodded to acknowledge that they'd be discussing it. She turned to Thresher and Seiichi. "I need to hear this before I head to the summit. Thresher, I trust the village in your hands while I am gone. I hope you will show Seiichi around."

tabThresher watched the reactions of the people in office as she gave her intel. “Yeah, tha’ would be th’ one. Took me down like it was nothin’ too.” The memory left a bitter taste in the Hoshigaki’s mouth. The Genjutsu Saiko put her in and the things he made her see still haunted the ninja hunter to this day. As the memories rose up like a reopened wound, Thresher’s gaze shifted to Miyuki. Thresher shared a look with her lover and she was sure that the Kage remembered that time all too painfully as well.
But she had a report to finish, so Thresher couldn’t dwell on her failures. “But it’s th’ one with th’ cat we need to worry ‘bout.” She said to Takao. “She’s th’ one tha’ blew up th’ Spire, and took down Toso an’ Shion by herself. My gut says she’s th’ one in charge of tha’ whole damn circus.”
Thresher’s eyebrows raised as Takao leaned in to talk to Miyuki. The shark woman couldn’t hear what was said, exactly. But the sudden smell of tension rose through the air. Something big was coming, is what her instincts told her. But before she could find out, she would be dismissed. “Sure, sure.” She replied as she rummaged in her bag. Thresher produced a wound scroll and handed it to Miyuki. “If anythin’ bad happens, don’ hesitate to call me.” Thresher leaned down to kiss Miyuki’s head and then turned to Seiichi. “Awright, squirt, let’s show you aroun’.”
