YURASTAR
Yurastar had no reason to refuse despite everything that had happened. The worst to come of all of this was he could die or be mauled and then die, or perhaps he could be openly dismissed and go quietly back to standing at the fringe of the crowd. His broken sandal was held on by sheer strength of will as he slowly made the move over, his thoughts more or less blank apart from casual focus on the Slytherin dragonet.
He really should have been more wary since the whole "someone got murdered by a bronze from this clutch" thing but doubting others wasn't in his nature. Yurastar was likely too timid for the tastes of this dragon but not attempting anything didn't make sense to him either. Yurastar was also certain his mother was screaming in the stands.
Hopefully she was cheering him on and not cursing him from here to Western and back.

FISHER
Fisher continued to rub Kinye's back in comfort, really really out of her element. "It is sad, yeah, an' it's okay to be cryin' over it too. Your tears are okay an' you don't need to be sayin' sorry for it, okay?" Pat pat, pat pat, was she even doing this right? Should she pick her up and hug her close that way?
Kinye was small enough that she could (Kinye wasn't that small) but she doubted it would go over well with the bosses or the other candidates. Or dragonets but you know what? Fisher could carry Kinye and run to the stands if she needed to. Totally could toss her up to save her, if she needed to.
Fisher let her arms tighten a bit in an effort to be more reassuring. She really hoped it was working because maybe she was enjoying doing it. The hugging thing, not the being awful at comforting.

HAVELI
Haveli approached the bronze as he called, having no reason to say no. It was obvious that as a girl she had no reason to be there but there was a smug undertone this dragonet possessed she could respect. Make others come to you, was it?

Zyanzi watched the candidate, the quirking change of expression not lost on him. When Zeraiah introduced himself, he let out a breath and smiled gingerly, offering his arm to him to lean on. "Zeraiah, most definitely a pleasure to meet you... despite the lovely... gore we've acquired. I'm Zyanzi, you can call me Zya if it's any easier." He said, nodding. At Zeraiah's mention of his bleeding arm, he just shook his head. "Friends come first. I hurt. But I promise I will be fine! You first. Then I will be." He said, nodding in a rather sagely manner, raising his hurt arm slightly to use his hand to push his long hair from his face. The blood leaked down his elbow, and he noted how odd the sensation was.
His eyes turned back to watch the sands, his heart fluttering in hopefulness. He might have been scratched and bleeding, but he was still worthy... right?
"Come on, let's see if we can have a healer clean you up, ok? Or, maybe... we go join the ones being called by the dragonet?"

Meztli Oh, that was new. Meztli blinked as the bronze spoke in their—everyone's?—head. "You guys hear that?" They turned to blink almost owlishly at Rykin and Ruunan. "Should we...go?" They'd been told not to bother the hatchlings or get too close, but this one was asking for a close up. So...that was okay, right?
"If you guys feel up for it, I'll go to." But slowly. For all they'd said they were fine, their leg still stung.
Theo Up in the stands, Theo suddenly frowned again, a hand lifting to gently massage at his ear (it would be utterly improper to dig a finger in!) "Strange..." He muttered under his breath, and then shrugged internally. He'd thought he'd heard...no. Must just be the crowd.
Finnisa For her part, Finnisa just shrugged, looking at Zyamel. "I mean, far's I can tell we're both ladies, and he's a bronze, so..." She'd just stay put for now, thanks. There were still less-friendly hatchlings about (and their leg, where it'd been rent, was starting to ache quite deeply and painfully). A moment later a healer came to tend her, and that was more than enough extra reason to her to stay put.
Zelaya Now this felt unusually familiar. Hadn't a bronze at the last clutch, that one on the beach, called out to the candidates as well? That's right...and their cheeks heated with embarrassment at the memory. They'd been there to observe, not stand, but gone closer anyway. It'd been fine, but being not in robes, they'd stood out so much and...no. No those feelings might startle the hatchlings.
With a deep breath and a wash of calm, they reached out to take Lucius' hand. "We should go. But calmly, and be ready to move. He might be yours..." That would be nice.

Farellen nodded, he didn't know the pair of candidates, at least not really, only to have seen in lessons while waiting for the clutches to hatch. "Fair enough, it's good he has a friend like you then" he hissed, still not opening his jaw but sticking his hand out "nice to meet you Tuela" he tried to smile, but winced, his one eye closing as he tried not to grimmace at the pain too hard,
When he heard the bronze calling for the candidates to line up he shook his head, suspicious, if the dragon could call to all of them, he could surely just call to His, anyway Farellen was pretty sure a Bronze wasn't for him, it would be awesome sure, but he didn't set his sights that high but he'd be happy with any dragon that wanted him. He tried not to think towards the bronze though, he was just afraid of getting hurt, and suspicious of that bronze's intentions, then felt bad about being suspicious.
~~~~~~~~~
Rokar heard the call from the Bronze, and while he didn't feel like he could get to his feet, something in him made him get up, awkwardly, his bitten arm no longer dangling but screaming painfully at him, he felt like something was torn, he held the damaged arm against his stomach, holding onto himself while he used his good arm to push himself up, stumbling as the pain nearly made him black out and biting back a scream ... but the bronze wanted him to come, it wasn't Impression but in Rokar's mind, he HAD to do the bronze's bidding ... if anything it helped him get up and not just lay down and die. He slowly, shuffling, made his way towards Slytherin Bronze.
Grumioll It was not much better where Gru had gone. There were still too many people, and all of them were too close. He wanted space. There was still an occasional twinge of pain in his head from Crucio’s earlier attacks, but they were mere pinpricks compared to her full force. He was okay… but he wanted to be somewhere else, a place where it was dark and quiet and he could curl up and sleep.
He looked down at the quavering voice of a small girl who stood nearby, but said nothing. He merely waited for her to say whatever it was she was going to say.
Karone He’d stumbled forward, not believing his eyes. He was… afraid to believe. He reached for his brother, called his name… and was scorned. He saw Karou’s expression. He knew why the man had said what he did…
He wanted to scream at Karou’s back as he walked away with that dragon. The murderer had taken his brother.
His hand dropped and his body sagged. He almost sat down. Almost gave up. Almost walked right off of the sands.
He’d only just met Jemi. There was no reason to suspect that she had any idea what a momentous thing had just occurred. No reason to suspect she knew just how badly her appraisal of the situation grated at his fresh inner wounds. He turned to face her, his countenance flushed with rage. “That man was my brother,” he hissed. And that was all he said. He heard Slytherin’s call and heeded it, taking a place among the others who approached. Even with his knowledge from the Touching that the bronze might only want to use him… in that moment, he didn’t care. He would be everything his dragon needed, be it this one or another.
Clearly, there was no one else in his life who needed him anymore.
Dehka
"S-Soui..." Dehka wasn't sure what to say, staring at the girl with his one good eye even as blood continued to stream from his wounds. He'd never seen her like this--focused, controlled, and sure of herself. He clumsily pressed the fabric to his face as instructed, nodding quickly. He was fine in comparison--Orri needed her help now, at least until the healers could come. He huddled close, his eyes wide with worry and no small amount of fear. But the other boy gave an uneasy laugh, and Dehka found himself laughing nervously alongside him. His... his ear? No--no, surely it was still there...
Meigth touched his mind, and mentally, the boy leaned into his warm thoughts before he withdrew. He was okay--but--Kahbrohm?
He twisted his head sharply, only to see that bronze leaving with another boy. Not his brother. He could have sighed with relief.... and then he saw Go The Distance all but throw himself into another's arms. Immediately, he felt his good eye starting to burn (the other seemed to be burning constantly), and Dehka smiled with absolute relief. He'd found His, after protecting everyone as best he could... He was so happy for him--for them.
Something grabbed him hard enough that Dehka almost fell, his mouth opening wide. His own startled response was immediately replaced with horror, and Dehka staggered unsteadily up to his feet. "K-Kah! You're hurt!" He'd been so caught up that he hadn't even realized that his brother had been injured. Worry coiled up in his belly, and he felt like he might vomit, still pressing the ripped robes against his eye. "C-Come on, we can go together..."
He paused, hearing the command... but knowing he needed to help his brother more.
Dynzrak
Oh? The redhead tilted his head slightly at the imperious command, watching as candidates promptly began to line-up as requested. Hm, hm, hm... Well. He'd already told himself he'd never be second best again.... and he also had no intention of being a sheep. Let Slytherin look over everyone else. Dynzrake would remain with Amare and Nonami. Still, who wouldn't smile at the bronze? Oh yes, he was very sure of himself. Fitting, really.
Zeraiah
"Zyanzi," Zeraiah echoed, smile getting a little stronger. "That's not so hard to say. Nice to meet you." That was genuine. It never hurt to make new friends. Now, whether the statement that he was fine was true? That got a dubious look, but he wouldn't argue.
He was nodding and ready to shuffle or limp or drag himself toward the healers, saying, "We can both get checked out," when Slytherin made his ...offer? Gave instructions? He hesitated, looking over at the bronze, then back to Zyanzi. It'd be wrong to make him miss an opportunity... "Maybe we should wait until he's had a look."
arcadin
It wasn't that Arc was emotionless when it came to death so much as he was...removed. It seemed just another random act of existence--this one happened to be enacted by a dragonet, that was all. Reason didn't need to factor into it. At least the bronze and the lashing green looked pleased enough with Impression that another sudden death wasn't in the cards, for now. It had almost been a show, hence his impulse to clap earlier.
He wondered how T'of and Makhmilith thought of him now, standing there as an island unto himself. Or perhaps they did not care past Searching him. Maybe only Ryah could find it in herself to care, enough to be surprised or disgusted, if she was watching at all. Another mother figure distant to him, but just as disappointed.
But now that this particular show was over, Slytherin spoke up. Drawled, really, as a lord holder to his supplicants. Arcadin remembered what had radiated from that egg at the Touching: that absolute desire for power. And that was what this was, he knew, as he watched others move to form a line. A power grab. This bronze had been content to simply sit and wait until the attention was back on him again, and now he wanted to exert that influence.
Arc understood that absolute lust, but he did not move. He was not a herdbeast to be ushered this way and that by a proud shepherd's whim.
