spaceAdalaide smiled when Jess caught the snitch. The new players were really working hard! She'd sat back after the first round had gotten started, watched the others play, feeling pretty sure that her spot on the team was safe and wanting to give them all a chance to both show off and to practice, since some of them were probably going to be on the starting team next term. When the game came to an end, she circled down to the field, listening as their VC announced the new teams. When he tossed the Quaffle up, she swarmed in. She'd never participated in the initial toss-up before; Dhyl usually did that. But, if he wasn't playing... might as well go for it.

She'd almost gotten the ball, but Ada's hands had a firmer grip on it, she guessed. The blonde turned and hightailed it for the goal, wanting to give the other team's players a chance to try and steal before passing it off to Elsie.

It was close, but Ada beat Ally out on the toss up. The blonde had the Quaffle in hand and was headed for the goal. Ally turned to scan the field, take stock of where Cain and Chloe where and where those bloody Bludgers were. Feeling comfortable with the field, she set off after Ada and prepared to attempt another steal.
She and Elsie had been getting a rhythm going as teammates, but now she had to show that she could establish that with the others just as easily, still show the same level of skill and keep up with the pace. Determined to not shame herself, Ally zipped forward to reach for the Quaffle.Posts to the Goal: n/a

  Location: Quidditch Pitch (Hufflepuff try-outs) Well Chloe did okay for her first real go around. She knew this wasn't going to be easy to begin with. Looking down at her brother and cousin when the snitch was caught she thought she saw him smile at her but she couldn't be sure. Of course looking down made her get her feeling back for how high up she was. 'You aren't going to fall so stop thinking that...' she told herself before Toby said they were switching up. With Ally and Cain on her side she just needed to get the quaffle again... easier said then done Ada had it... Luckily she passed it though which was a minor relief. Status: I'm doing this... Don't ask me why Jessamine Cathlin Walsh ~ Halfblood Hufflepuff ~ Third Year ~ Twin ~ {feeling: excited} {thinking: tryouts!} {with: Hufflepuffs} {at: tryouts} Jess didn't release the snitch until had been officially announced that she had caught it. Only then did she reluctantly let it go, watching it zoom off. New teams were announced, but it didn't matter, as she was obviously still versing against Terren. She flashed him a quick grin. "Thanks. We'll see about that." She was a bit cocky after her victory, though she knew it was more luck than skill. That had been the first time she'd caught the snitch, ever, and this was her second year playing. Of course, being third reserve seeker had meant she had never been in a game.... but after these tryouts she'd either be on the first string or the only reserve. She immediately started looking for the snitch as the second game of the tryouts began.They can't rain on my parade; I'm sunshine on a cloudy day. TEAM ONE

Once again, it was a tangle for the Quaffle. Possessions, steals, passes, reversals of play. And it all made Ally smile. She was just moving in to flank Chloe when Elsie swept in and stole the Quaffle. Ally almost cheered her on but had to remind herself that now she and Elsie were on opposing teams. Grinning to herself, she slipped in behind Elsie and zoomed upward to grab for the Quaffle. So far, she had excelled at stealing and passing. It was a small thing but she had to keep up with what she was good at. She could only hope that she could keep her success going as her fingers reached out for the hide of the ball.Posts to the Goal: n/a

Both she and Chloe failed to separate Elsie from the Quaffle. No reason to stop trying. Ally circled around and took a wide approach to Elsie. Cain had Chloe and Alastrine on his team this time around, and they were doing great so far. However, Elsie had the ball, and he needed to change that. The teen swooped in for a steal when a thought occurred to him. Because the Captain was away, he was the only male playing Chaser! He couldn't lose now. His manliness was on the line!
