mangacatgirl Undakai mangacatgirl: First off I'd like to say that I've never actually heard this song. Secondly, I'd like to say that I didn't really like the song. A lot of air, and at times it seemed you were at the end of your breath (so that the very end of the words have a "out of air" sound...don't know if that's intentional or not). The song itself was made of very short, choppy sentences and single words, which is very annoying to me. Well it's not my fault you haven't seen the play. I was never out of breath in the song and sorry if I sounded that way. The reason for the pauses is, as I stated when submiting the entry, there is a second part that someone else is supposed to sing there. But it's okay. I already realize that most people find my singing to be annoying, which is why I'm utterly surprized I haven't been voted off yet. I know my voice and singing is squeaky, way too high and unrefind. *shrug* I wouldn't even of entered exept at the time, no one had... Don't like me, vote me off! Haha, I'll be totally okay with it. 3nodding Don't be so hard. I only made my observations and critisisms. For the most part, I didn't mention the things I liked. As a general rule of thumb, if it wasn't mentioned, I had no problem with it.

Also, when I listen to everyone else's songs I notice they seem to be trying really hard. I can tell by the sound of their voice that a lot of effort is going into their singing. I'm the only one that doesn't have that. I could probably sing like everyone else if I tried... But I prefer to sing the way I do because it makes me happy. Even if it doesn't make anyone else happy. sweatdrop I really don't mind feedback, so I'm fine with it. I think it's actually good because it lets everyone know what people really think of their singing, besides a number value on a scale. PS I notice that most of the songs I choose seem to be songs few or no other people have heard... I think it's weird... you guys must have really limited music you listen to.

Undakai [ Terra ]: At the very beginning you seemed to stumble on second line of the song with a note that seemed (to me) to be the opposite of the one that should have been there. There were some other parts in the song where you hit a flat note, and I don't believe the "sing it" was necissary (it sounded like something someone in the background might have said) I agree that some of the notes weren't the best and I debated with myself as to whether or not keep in the "sing it" line (it was actually said by the main singer just for the record). Thanks for the feedback, Undakai, I appreciate it and would welcome any future comments from you or anyone else. smile

Sanzoskitsune I wonder how hated I would be if I sung a song in Spanish for next week ninja Actually, I find I am less distracted when listening to a language I don't understand. It allows my to focus more on melody and voice quality.

that's actually exactly what happened....eh...my range isn't exactly very high sweatdrop so sriving for the impossible note was what happened. ( xd hehe.....the image of screaming a lullabye makes me giggle)
dude it's good that SOMEONE actually gives a critique ^^ that way everyone can reflect and learn from it.
(hell i only wish people had been constructive about my singing when i was 8...maybe then i would have stayed in those damned competitions.... >_> blaugh )

Actually, I really like the way you sing. That high voice style seemed to die with the times, and I like hearing people hit higher notes because it's not something you hear a lot anymore. I also like the sound of your voice too, it's kind of squeaky at times, yes, but it's also nice to hear someone who doesn't really have to try too hard to sing, and it just comes to them naturally. Then again, I've only heard your voice a few times while singing, and I've yet to listen to a lot of these people singing, so I'm going to try to get to that today and see how well they can carry their songs. Then again though, if people say that you guys are singing well, I'm going to trust that, because it seems like you guys know what you're talking about.
