Lucian tilted his head to the side and listened to Joshua’s breathing; he then leaned down and nipped his shoulder again. “Did I tell you how good you taste?” He changed the mood that the conversation was headed. Lucian was distracted himself from Joshua’s pleasant aroma.

Joshua's eyes flew open. 'No. You seemed to have failed to mention that fact.' His thought was slightly sarcastic. "Is that why you keep biting me?" Joshua's voice was teasing, but he seriously wanted to know if that was why he was a chew toy for the sea dragon.

(((Sorry, I forgot Lucian spoke in the mind better then outloud...XD )))
Lucian laughed out loud, “Lucian is sorry if he scared you.” He continued the conversation in his head. ‘You are just too cute of a human for your own good,’ he stated bluntly. Lucian avoided answering his question and let go of Joshua. He leaned back and stretched, spreading his wings as wide as he could.

Joshua look at Lucian. 'Too cute?' His eyebrow was raised. 'What do you mean by that? And you didn't answer the question.' He reached out and poke Lucian in the belly.

Lucian giggled and covered his belly. ‘Be careful, I bite…’ He eyes gleamed of laughter as he backed away from Joshua. His back now against the tree, he continued to smile at him. ‘What was the question?’ he asked, stalling for time.

Joshua crossed his arms. 'I KNOW you bite.' A smile tugged at his lips, though he tried to look stern. 'And you know very well what the questions was. I want to know why you keep biting me.'

Lucian tried not to laugh, but couldn’t help the little burst coming out. ‘I already answered that…it is because you taste good.’ Lucian smiled really big to look as sincere as he could. He pointed to the sky, ‘LOOK…A BIRD…’ he glanced over to see if Joshua feel for it.

'Birds well and all, but that doesn't make sense.' Joshua shook his head in confusion. 'I don't get how I taste good.' He made a face. 'It keeps sounding like your planning a meal. With me as the main course.'

Lucian stifled back another laugh. “Lucian doesn’t like eating humans.” He stuck his tongue out as if he tasted one now. While Joshua was making a face, Lucian leaned over to him and nipped him yet again then turn to run, only to run right into the tree he was just against.

The smile that had been tugging at Joshua's mouth finally appeared. He began laughing, shaking his head all the while. 'You are extremely silly.' He walked over, holding out a hand to help Lucian up. 'So if you don't eat humans, why do you keep biting me?' Though he was still chuckling, Joshua was determined to have an answer that made sense. At least, made sense to him.

Lucian stared up at him with wide eyes. He gave him the best little innocent child’s face he can conjure. ‘I don’t know what you are talking about…’ He even poked his lips out a little before taking Joshua’s hand. Once up he brushed at his leather pants.

Joshua sighed rolled his eyes. 'I asked a plain and simple question. Why can't I get a plain and simple answer?' He wasn't sure who the thought was addressed to, Lucian or God. Didn't matter either way. 'Neither one wants to give me an answer.' He decided to try a little bit of Lucian's methods. 'Why don't you want to tell me?' He hugged himself, looking away from Lucian. He tried to look hurt, as if Lucian's evasiveness was a slap in the face.

Lucian leaned back and covered his mouth, a light blush covering his cheeks. He moved his hand and opened his mouth then quickly shut it again. Joshua was pulling his moves and Lucian didn’t know what to do. “Joshua isn’t playing fair,” he pouted and whined. Looking side to side, planning his escape. ‘I-I-I-I was marking you….that’s all.’ He let the answer slipped out without even meaning too.

Joshua's head whipped back to stare at Lucian. 'M-Marking me?' Unintentionally, his thoughts flickered to creatures that 'marked' what they thought belonged to them. His mind whirled, trying to grasp what Lucian had said. Mostly, he wavered between two emotions. Anger, in that Lucian thought he belonged to anyone. And flattered that Lucian would consider him worth marking.
