The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar cawed softly, agreeing though it sounded like he wasn't happy about leaving Akila. He'd been bred for obedience though, so he would do as he was told. He ran his beak through the girl's hair briefly before grabbing the shirt and taking off. He flew off into the forest, carrying the handkerchief. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Kida wadded up the shredded shirt, recognising it as the one from his drawer, and put it, back, carefully leaving the cabin with nothing of her ever being there, except the small blood trail from the cleaned up trap. Her leg and foot hurt, but she was scared to look down at it. Instead, she ripped her slave pants, and tied it up, without bothering to see if she did it right or not.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar flew quite a ways away before burying the handkerchief under a thorn bush - A place no one but a creature his size could get to. That done, he flew back to Akila. He watched her from the trees, voicing a soft caw to tell her he was back. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila smiled a little, "Hey zar." If anyone saw her, they would think she was crazy, because she was looking straight ahead. She stumbled a little, on her leg, and caught herself, "Go back to the room...I have to go through the market place." and she did, ignoring anyone that questioned her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar crowed softly, disappointed. He did as he was told, taking a different route and beating Akila to the inn. He glided into her room and landed on the dresser, waiting patiently for her to return. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila hurried past the innkeeper, and up the stairs, trying not to show the pain each step gave her, and locked herself in her room in what seemed TOO LONG. Her legs nearly gave out, and she sat in the chair, stroking Zar's feathers, "Good job, buddy. You did great."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar fluffed out his chest feathers, proud to have earned her praise. He chattered softly, rubbing his head against her hand.
Aleera had shifted her hearing slightly, listening for Akila. Once she knew the girl was back, she glanced at Clorogne, wondering if she could sneak away from him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila kissed his head, before finally looking down to her leg, "Ouch." It was red and swollen, the skin ripped like something had tried to take a bite out of her, and the deeper it got, the darker the skin was soaked with blood and dirt. "I'll go back to the river tomorrow, to watch it." She decided, before continuing to pet her bird.
Clorogne was awake, and holding Aleera close. No chance she was leaving tonight...at least not until he fell asleep.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera sighed lightly and cuddled up to Clorogne, settling in for a long night. As long as he was awake, there was no chance of her leaving safely. She would just have to relax and get a report from Akila in the morning.
Zar cocked his head to the side, examining Akila's wound. He warbled a worried sound, wondering if she was okay. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila re-wrapped her leg, and hobbled over to her bed, "Good night, Zar. You can leave if you want." She didn't know if Clorogne would come barging in, but since she locked the door, he shouldn't be able to She crawled under the covers and, exhausted, slipped straight into sleep.
Clorogne stayed awake for hours, brushing his fingers through her hair and over her back, before falling asleep finally.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar ran his beak through her hair once more before taking off into the forest. There, he found a spot close enough to hear yet far enough to be safe and fell asleep, head tucked under one wing.
Aleera, despite her best intentions otherwise, fell asleep to the soothing ministrations of Clorogne. Having her hair played with like that relaxed her, to the point of falling asleep.
((Skip to morning seems in order here.)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

The next morning, Akila found it hard to gt up. She was tired and her leg ached. She did not change her clothes, but unlocked her door, and put the stuff she's crinckled into her vest, into the Inn room's desk.
Clorogne was curled on his bed, content with Aleera's scent keeping him in a lulled sleep. The covers were pulled over them loosely.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera woke slowly, confused by the other person in her bed. Blinking her eyes open, she realized that it wasn't even her bed. She was still in Clorogne's bed. She closed her eyes again to keep from swearing. Carefully, she began working to extract herself without waking him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera breathed a sigh of relief as Clorogne stayed asleep. Quickly she dressed and left the room, staying silent as she did so. She slipped into her own room to run a brush through her hair quickly before going to knock lightly on Akila's door. The tiger that should be....isn't....
