but i don't see why you have such a (seemingly to me) negative view of your abilities. true... someone should have to deserve YOU. not the other way around. but just bear in mind you're an intelligent, appealing woman and there's no reason guys should have any reason at all to hurt you the way he did. regardless of the girl, great or not,nobody deserves to feel like that.

You have the rest of your life ahead of you... technically, the last boyfriend i had would be over a timespan of a year or two... and i agree with Lizzerde... Someone should deserve you... if they don't think it that way, then they are not worth your time and effort to try and impress them...

if you put yourself down, others will too and then you'll feel even crappier... i should know... i do that...

This might sound odd, but I was a little insulted when she said, "you can do better." I mean, one, it kind of tells me that I don't know how to pick 'em, and two, he's one I wanted. Doesn't that mean anything?

Sometimes I really doubt that I can do better.

Just the other day I went through a thought process that went something like this: I would find my ideal mate, but then he would be the one who deserved better than me.

I hate the word "better"... people use it to judge people they don't even know...

and "better" should have nothing to do with a relationship... it's all about the connection you have. You weren't able to establish it with that particular person, so just give it time... and it'll fade away... (possibly more quickly if you happen to meet someone new... )

The funny thing is, we actually do click when we're physicaly near each other, he just never tries to stay in touch otherwise. It's confusing and irritating.

but just as i said, you have the rest of your life to find the right one... up until my last boyfriend, i had a boyfriend for only less than six months and then we'd break up... And even if you do wait, you're gonna find other people... like hot italian men with thier accents and smezzy bodies and suave ways... *sighs* oh yeah...

When the time comes, he'll be the one to look for you....
