Religious zealots bug me greatly. There are a lot in my school and they'd shun me if they found out I'm a Unitarian Universalist.

That's too bad. I used to be Roman Catholic, and I still keep some of the influences I learned from Catholicism (especially the Social teaching - which is actually very accepting) and brought it into my faith now.
I'm glad there are other UUs
I don't go to a congregation. I rely on the Church of the Larger Fellowship until I can find a congregation.

yes... I get shunned for the way I dress, I get shunned for the way I act, I get shunned for my lack of interest in sports, I get shunned for who I make friends with... I tend not to tell people I'm UU

That was probably the most heartening experience I've had in a long time, just to know there were other Unitarian Universalists... and alot of them. mrgreen Wow... I'm very happy now...

No, I'm still new. After months of soul-searching, I realized that UU represented my faith better than Catholicism just three months ago. So, yeah.

Well then! WELCOME! Depending on your age, you should come to the next Con... and absolutely go to GA next year (youth and adults welcome). It's a really great community experience. mrgreen

I'll see what I can do. Although, my parents really didn't know I committed some time to make this change of faith. I don't think I'll be able to make it until after I graduate college and stop being a dependent.
