Lucian looked over at Joshua, “Lucian never said he was a sea dragon…Joshua and the mermaid only assumed.” He wasn’t to sure if he should explain the differences of a sea dragon and a water dragon. Lucian continued to float on his back, laughing when he almost sunk.

Joshua thought back to when he first met Lucian. It seemed so long ago now. 'He's right!' Joshua realized with a start. 'He never actually said sea-dragon.' "Alright then, Mister. Just what are you?" One confusion led to the next. So he hadn't said he was a sea-dragon. Then what was he? 'He's obviously dragon.....' Suddenly Joshua was plagued by self-doubt. 'Is he?' He stared at Lucian, trying to puzzle out the answer.

Lucian laughed again, “Lucian is a dragon.” He winked at Joshua; he was speaking through mind again and didn’t realize it. Lucian swam over to Joshua, closing his eyes; he lets scales cover his whole body then they quickly disappeared. He had tattoos appear all over his body as his horns doubled in size. His wings were now out, but transparent. The symbol on his forehead seemed to swirl in many different colors (Like the profile picture). Lucian opened his eyes and focused on Joshua, his eyes were bright brilliant blue.

Joshua just blinked at Lucian. "Okay....What just happened?" His poor human mind tried to figure out what Lucian was showing him. "So you're.....dragon. But not sea-dragon?" He didn't sound very sure of himself.

Lucian wrapped an arm around Joshua’s waist and brought him closer. His hand brushed over Joshua’s cheek gently. ‘I am a water dragon…’ He put his forehead against Joshua’s and stared at him in the eyes. ‘You aren’t normal Joshua…you make me want to talk…you make me want to reveal everything.’ He continued to study his eyes.

Joshua stared into the blue eyes. 'I know I'm not normal. That's why I live alone.' A wry smile formed on his face. 'And I want to know everything. I want you to talk!' Joshua's thoughts were insitant.

Lucian was the one confused now, ‘Why do you live alone? Why are you so interested in the sea?’ His hand buried in Joshua’s hair as he asks questions of his own. Why did he want to tell Joshua everything? He never done with before…why now?

'I live alone because no one understands me. None of the humans understand my passion of the sea.' Joshua gave a small sigh. Living alone could really get lonely at times. 'As to the sea? Well....I don't really know.' His thoughts were slow. Joshua was trying to get Lucian to understand the pull of the sea, when he himself wasn't entirely sure. 'It's like....Like there's something there. Something pulling me.' That was the best he could describe it.

Lucian nodded in understanding; he leaned forward more and nuzzled his cheek against Joshua’s. ‘You don’t have to be alone anymore…you can tell me whatever you want. I will listen.’ He wrapped his transparent wings around them both. ‘What do you want to know about me?’ he asked. He was willing to tell Joshua anything he wanted to know.

Joshua layed his head on Lucian's shoulder. For some reason, he felt safe and secure within Lucian's wings. 'I want to know EVERYTHING.' He chuckled then narrowed it down. 'Do dragons live in groupings? Or alone? Can they all shift forms like you did?' He realized that the questions weren't entirely about Lucian, but the more he understood the species, the more he understood the individual.
((I'm off to bed for the night. I'll be on tomorrow.))

Lucian rested his head on top of Joshua. It was easy to keep them both afloat. ‘Some dragons live together for safety, but most have a possessive attitude towards their things. As far as shifting, many of the elder ones have many forms.’ He giggled a little and continue, ‘Do you remember my story about the first dragons?’

'Yes. I remember.' Joshua wouldn't forget a story like that. He wondered where this was all going, what point Lucian was making. 'You said that it was one and he split in two. Then the others were born from them.'

Lucian smiled, ‘Yes the first four…fire, water, lightning, and earth.’ He waited to see if Joshua caught on. Then he said it flat out, no hold backs, ‘I’m the water dragon…’ He pulled back to see Joshua’s reaction.
