Eyes so wide trying to look everywhere at once, Mishaath was not focusing on chewing her stone safely. And of course, that led to a bit tongue! The little green squealed with dismay, head shaking as Tyila's eyes watered. That had REALLY hurt!

Although he lulled his tongue in and out for a moment after biting it, Ddraigth was quick to recover, his attention moving to a clump of Thread that was falling down from the upper altitude. He moved quickly for his size and opened his maw, flaming the piece to dust.

Ddraigth was focused, the pain from biting his tongue was pushing him along, forcing him to fight through that small amount of pain. It had been a stupid mistake, one that he should never have made but it was a benefit as well. The bronze let out a triumphant trumpet as he dove after a piece of Thread. He weaved through members of the wing, easily flaming the piece down before returning to formation and taking out another piece.
This was how it was done, how a bronze moved through the air and did his part. This was why he had been made Wingsecond.
Spiraling upwards Phaeth and D’mos settled back into formation, filling up on firestone and checking over making sure there wasn’t any damage on the straps while they had a moment’s break. Unaware of the faint tendrils of the silverly threads the large bronze shrieked and moved in between as the threads tempted to eat away at his wings. Luckily the pain faded but Phaeth obviously was upset over the matter.

Moving back up to the lower altitude was going to be a task, but a lucky break in the winds made it easier than it had been. The laboring brown pumped his wings to take him back up, savoring each thermal for as long as he could to give his wings just a moment to rest.

When faced with her crush so close at hand, Cynosuth didn't know what to do except to pretend that everything was fine. It didn't matter. It was okay. He didn't notice or care, so why should she? Yet she found herself averting her gaze all the same. I am a little worried by the wind. If it remains, it will be a hard Fall for me. She was, after all, only a very little Green. I am grateful that there have been few major injuries. There have been mishaps, and a few lost eyes, but so far... So far, so good.
Oh dear. She peeked up at Aresoth, checking to make sure that he was in one piece. He seemed a bit rough, but in fine spirits. He could not have needed too much help, then. Should he be wasting his time talking to her? She wasn't... she wasn't important enough to merit this.

Uridith happened to glance over just in time to see her bronze son, who had had to land, looking up. She sensed no distress from him, or pain, so that was good. Gently she pressed a mental touch to his mind, full of reassurance and pride. He was so very strong, and he was doing his best. What more could a mother ask for?

He knew his blue and green siblings did not have the same stamina as he did, but Aresoth did truly believe they had just as much power and drive. They could handle it.
She had looked away and he didn't notice, letting his attention turn back to the sky, until he caught her looking him over out of the corner of his eye. A small rumble of laughter escaped him as he stood for a moment and then turned around, letting her check him over. I am alright Cynosuth, just some small Threadscore, nothing too terribly bad. At least I am not burnt from the flames of one of your siblings. He leaned his head down towards hers, gently nudging her with it.

They moved after another piece of Thread, Ddraigth chasing closely after it until a thermal of air caught his wingsails. It unbalanced the bronze as he fought to stay in the right position and course. It was tough, but he managed it, however his target was only halfway charred because of it.

Phaeth obviously still annoyed about the burns along his wingsails and began taking it out random groups of thread masses that dotted the sky. He was doing rather well much to D’mos surprise usually he tended to just mope around after pain but for once the bronze was showing a little more of initiative.

Mine. The only word that was needed and Dr'stan put his hand into the bag to grab another piece of Firstone, only to find that they were out. Going to have to make a call to the Weyrlings for some. The bronze huffed some but made sure it was known.

Ho ho! A thread! Thanoth bolted for it, over eager even with V'tre willing her to remember to go a bit slower than top speed...It didn't work, but thankfully her brother's teasing (and somewhat sharp, rude!) got her to woah back. She flamed the thread, but managed not to scald herself again. V'tre made a mental note to thank G'ran once this chaos was over.

The switch up to High Altitude was always the fight that Alucarth enjoyed the most. It was difficult and challenging. He was also able to show the versatility of being a smaller bronze, even though he still hated it. Of course with how thick it was up here, it was easier to just flame everything down in front of him then to actually try and dodge, but he was fine with that as well.

The moment Krahsujunth let up his determined forward drive, the wind seemed to triple in strength. Bellowing in surprise, the blue tumbled, tossed by the air just barely missing thread sheets before he finally regained his balance. The struggle to catch up against the furious wind left him little time to focus on flaming, and little energy to do much else besides.

When Aresoth did a turn for her, Cynosuth's eyes whirled a brighter blue-green. That was much better. He didn't look too hurt. Her hearts beat too fast, and she tried to let them fall back down where they had been at her feet. This meant nothing. It meant nothing. He was just being kind, Cynosuth reminded herself. He didn't know. Didn't notice.
Faranth help her. And then he nudged her, and she died a thousand deaths, trying to hide how much she adored him. She nuzzled him back, trying to make sure it wasn't... wasn't anything. Mother... the little Green said plaintively, and quite privately, to Golden Uridith. Why. Why do I have to be a Green? Why couldn't she have been someone special, like Zenobiath?
It broke her hearts forever. Thank you, Aresoth. I know you'll do your best to keep me safe, the way you do our clutch. She could not let him know. She could not. Couldn't bear it.
