Very Crazy day at work. Today is one of our twice-yearly inventories. It was supposed to start at 8 AM, but thanks to the Computer system crashing at Corporate's end, it was delayed until 11 am. I was counting one of the outside areas, and it took about 3 hours to do. The problem was that it's cold, and the wind is pretty strong, which was making the paperwork just a joy to deal with. On top of that, it was so cold I needed to wear gloves to keep my hands from freezing, but then I couldn't seperate the intenvory tags with them on. gonk My head is just pounding right now.

I know how it is. Same thing for me pretty much. We have to make this color racing program for this Sunshine Millions race which is pretty big that will be this Saturday or something, and it has to be shipped to Florida when done, from California (where I'm at). It's only really been cold at night and in the mornings. Wind, we have that a lot here too at the moment. I have to put paper in to the press (about 48, 000 sheets today) and II have to keep closing the door when I do it 'cause there's no way the wind is gonna help me stack that paper straight xp ... But yeah, big days always equals crazy days for employees crying

My boss says we did very good on our inventory. We were only short about $16,000 from what the computer said we should have. When you consider that one of our sister locations close-by was $82,000 short on just their locks. eek I heard that there has been a shake-up there.

I was out and saw it in the window of a comic book shop. I had to get it. Man did they have some cool stuff in there. Not just comic books, but all kinds of neat geek stuff, including a life-size statue of Spider Man. eek

Lol, woah. I don't think I'd ever get that Spiderman thing even though he's one of my favorite superheros, just that kind of item would be out of place to me... Lol, I like shops like those.

Oh! I got a new Laptop! *music plays* Yup xd .... It has WIndows Vista on it. Hard to get used to but easier than XP. Weird...

On top of that, I doubt you'd be willing to cough up the $800. I know I'm not.

Windows Vista, eh? You like it?

It's pretty cool. Like, it came with the computer as part of this promotional deal, so I really didn't pay for the operating system. On my PC that I have, I would say it ain't worth upgrading. On a new computer however, it's worth having it on there if it already comes with it.

I have heard some bad things about Vista. Like, how it spys on you, how it's pop-up blocker won't block pop-ups from Microsoft or one of it's companies, or how the Software will delete programs if it determines the program is from one of Microsoft's competitors. I've even heard a rumor that it could 'rat you out' if you have illegal MP3s on your computer. eek

I'm going to wait.

Hmm, interesting... I haven't put any MP3s on it yet. I keep all those on my Desktop and I have way more Gigs of audio that can possibly fit on a DVD, so I won't even bother copying them to my Lappy. I'd just hook my iPod up to my Lappy and play them from there. Also, if they were able to spy on what files you got and use them in court against you, I bet you could easily counter-sue and get some good cash back, maybe even more in return. Still, if Microfost dared to do such things, the hackers and other computer rebels would take them down hardcore and it would be utter chaos. I don't think the major corporations will ever have 100% power, as long as there are those against it. Lol, dunno how I ended up in this specific rant, but yeah, unless Microsoft wants to go down, they'll be wise not to mess in too deep in to other's privacy.
