"I love you too." Kaistern said returning the kiss. "Shall we go deal with politics then?" As nice as this was, he did have a job to do. "Or shall we reassure the staff that your sister's no longer around to molest them?" he joked.

"As relieved as they would be to hear it, the servants have a job to do and so do we." As tedious as the work could be, Ophelia liked the thought of getting the politics out of the way as soon as possible.
{I assume this means timeskip soon?}

{It's fine. ^.^ That's what teamwork is for. I've still got a few ideas, anyway.
Canon Story Ideas: 1.) We could try the attempted assassination from the homoerotic advisor, causing Kaistern to flip his s**t. 2.) If Kaistern is the jealous type, I could have satyr!Atius start sexually harassing Ophelia on a borderline daily basis while visiting the demon kingdom, thus possibly sparking a war between the demons and satyrs/nymphs. Or that human mayor from before, ending up in his being offed and any possibility of peace between demons and humans in the near future utterly shattered. 3.) Confrontation between other!Kaistern and Ophelia once the former regains temporary cotrol of his body and finds out that he has a pregnant wife in the annoying human from before who demands the respect that his other half gives her or something like that. 4.) If we're really desperate for ideas, we can dig through TVtropes until we find some interesting tropes we might like to try out and work from there. 5.) Not so much a twist as filler, but they could talk about ideas for their future baby(ies?) and we could roll the dice to decide the outcome for later.
~
Noncanon/Side Story Ideas:
1.) We could pause the story and do how Kaistern and Ophelia first met, finally revealing the details of it once and for all. 2.) We could do a short story how they would have been if they met as children, both before and after Kaistern's snapping point. 3.) What would happen if Kaistern were turned into a female for a day. 4.) How would Van and Mala react if they met Kaistern and Ophelia. (Or, alternatively, Jaquel and Ariae)
Blah, I'll come up with moar later.}

{No, that's just going to be my joke headcannon. XD Shall I write it out that very moment, or ease into it? Also, shall I have mercy on my character and give Ophelia a chance to escape//fight back just as Kaistern starts the slaughtering//raegfest?}

My weeping quietly aside, maybe ease into it a bit, and sure, give her a chance.))

{*huggles* Whatever happened today, I'm sorry it did and I hope tomorrow is better for you.}
Ophelia was just heading downstairs from the castle tower that she and Kaistern frequented in their spare time, her footsteps echoing softly against the stony floors and walls of the castle hallways. Her hair flowed slightly behind her as she walked due to the pace she kept, contributing alongside a pleasant demeanor to an appearance of 'floating' and 'bliss'. Ophelia would occasionally pass by an on-duty guard or servant, offering each a small smile and a passing glance as she walked by.

((Mind if I vent a bit? I just really need it right now, along with that pile of hugs. Taken to PMs, of course, with how much I need to rant about. Just...asjkdsjkdas))
Kaistern, meanwhile, was busy chatting with his military captain about war strategy in his study. It seemed one of the sides would likely be making the first strike soon, but they did somehow manage to find an ally with the wood nymphs.

{Certainly. Feel free to rant to me any time you like.}
Ophelia passed by Kaistern's financial advisor, but as she'd come to expect from him, he completely and utterly shunned her. The man refused to even make eye-contact with her as he passed by. Ophelia thought him to be a bit of an a**, but so long as he did his duty, she didn't care how much he hated her. (She wasn't the one they needed to be listening to, after all.)
Besides, she was going to meet Kaistern in the gardens as he escaped his duties for a fleeting hour, at least. Or so the carefully forged note she had suggested. Kaistern and Ophelia did this sort of thing often, even using the guards or servants as messengers for their silly little love notes every now and again. She had no reason to believe that this was, in actuality, a trap.

"The humans seem to have a great deal of preconceptions about the assorted races, so hopefully we can use their superstitions to our advantage. If we can get some of the "friendlier" races on our side, we might have a better chance of smoothing things over with them." Kaistern said as he wrapped up his meeting with his military advisor and left his study. He saw Ophelia prancing along, looking in a particularly good mood today, and just smiled. It was probably the knowledge of their baby that had her so cheerful, and thought he'd leave her be rather than show up and starting talking war updates. Of course, he couldn't know that the one time he opted to leave his lover alone would be a bad idea.

Ophelia did not even notice Kaistern's presence as she passed by, ironically, as she headed towards the gardens. She even took as 'many shortcuts', one of which sliding down the banisters to reach the lower floors faster - much to the exasperation of some nearby servants.
Upon her arrival, she donned a look of pure confusion. No one was present. It was quiet, peaceful even. This did not bode well. Before she could do anything about it, she was captured by her kidnappers and soon-to-be-assailants. She let out as loud a cry as she could before quickly being bound and gagged by some of the more trusted guardsmen.
Things looked grim, but at least Ophelia knew how to wiggle out of binding ropes for later, when the kidnappers weren't so on-guard.

Kaistern and several other members of the castle heard the scream, running to the source as fast as they could. Of course, by the time anyone got there, the attackers and Ophelia were gone. "Spread out and cover the entire castle; search the place from top to bottom, every nook and cranny! They couldn't have gotten far!" he commanded, going to join the search as well with a pretty damn pissed off expression. "If you find them, report back to me immediately! Kidnapping Ophelia is a crime that I cannot forgive and will see to their punishment personally!"

The kidnappers carried the captured queen through an uncommonly used passageway, leading of course to a secret path that lead into the castle from a nearby forest. Assassinating the Queen on castle grounds, even by a hired killer's point of view, was unforgiveable. (It was also unforgiveable to spill royal blood, in which case Ophelia only counted because her pregnancy was now widely known within the castle court. As one can imagine, that's what drowning or strangulation is for - depending on the circumstances.) She fought against them every step of the way, eventually even kicking off her shoes in a vain attempt to fight back against her kidnappers. Or so they thought. In reality, it was a desperate clue for where she could be found. Hopefully someone would come in time to rescue her, or at the very least make a vital distraction so she could rescue herself.

A few senior guards told the king to leave the search to them, but seeing the look in Kaistern's eyes made them back off. It was a familiar look that no one had seen for some months now. Stalking down the halls alone, he eventually found Ophelia's shoe and looked around, his eyes soon resting upon the old passageway. He took off running, ready to murder whoever was stupid enough to lay their hands on her.
