Thaliat Everwood That sounds like a good idea. Better way to get a larger response from other guild members too. I know some people who aren't sure they'll be taken seriously or are shy and aren't comfortable posting in these types of threads, but polls are anonymous. So people can vote for the changes the want or do not want. Then the mods can use that data to decide what changes they want to consider implementing. I like that idea too. I don't understand why people would be shy of posting their ideas. The worst that will happen is it won't happen. You might get the odd jerk who is like "That idea is retarded... you're retarded" But those people are mean and insensitive... and HAVE NO HEART! It's a very good idea though!

My suggestion... Move the games back out and Keep RP's in the subforum Games are as has been said before an Icebreaker for newbies and fun when you just come back plus it makes the guild seem more active RP's are alittle heavier so they are better to keep in a subforum I feel.
Also find out which way the member list works and find out how many members join a day roughly then go through the member list and for the first few 100 pages delete anyone with 20 or less posts.
thats all Ive got for now

Games would swamp the main forum. I like them where they are. One of this guild's best features is its pace.

La Belle Isolde EDIT: I just saw the post at the end of the birthday thread... what about my birthday thread? Hmm well, uh...hmm Guess we could combine them into a new one with credit given to both birthday thread creators?

Alarias La Belle Isolde EDIT: I just saw the post at the end of the birthday thread... what about my birthday thread? Hmm well, uh...hmm Guess we could combine them into a new one with credit given to both birthday thread creators? Half the actual birthdays from Duale's thread have already been integrated into my birthday thread. Couldn't we just use some of the formatting from it or something? It's all nicely laid out and stuff.

Well whatever gets done I guess I'd like to be let in on it so that I don't end up trying to maintain a birthday thread that is going to be useless in a month's time.

I never held one...and I'm not sure if I ever will...they always seem to be wanted, and when some mods hold some...nobody enters. But...you know...members can hold them as well...so... Go for it razz

Lol... Now now, let's not become violent. *twitches and drops his cleaver* No, violence wouldn't solve anything.
biggrin
But yes, Erius brings up a good point, the regulars can/should hold their own contests. And they do on occasion.
I'd like to see less lurkers and more posters. Not movie posters, people that make posts. Not fence posts, I'm talking about comments.

*shoves movie posters behind her back*
My theory is that many ATGers out there are just swamped at the moment and will return to make the guild flow with life as soon as they can.

*pout* I only quasi-lurk now. I'm getting better about posting. I'm not the lurker I used to be.
As for contests, I think the reason us non-mods don't tend to host them is a lot of us can't afford a good prize to award to the winner. And people who enter contests tend to like prizes. So it's a bit daunting if you can't offer a good prize...and you still need to come up with a good contest idea on top of that. I may not have a lot of gold (or items I want to part with), but I could offer free avi art for a contest I host...then again, how many people would be that excited about free avi art from me when you can go to the GD and get free avi art for even less effort? And I think most people prefer the gold/items anyway. I suspect that's the dilemma us non-mods have to worry about and that's why there aren't a lot of contests hosted.
