Munching on the apple happily, Yue relaxed as she felt brush against skin. If she was a human then, she would have sighed deeply at the lovely sensation of being groomed. Instead, the mare contented herself to nodding her head to a private rhythm in her head, nuzzling Maralah occasionally as a gesture of gratitude for being kind to her.  

[Xiao Ling]

Maralah smiled and continued with the grooming. She then waded into the lake and dipped the brush into the water to wash it. After that the native girl brushed the mare's cream mane, with some difficulty. In no time the mane was straight and neat again, and Maralah was proud and happy with the results.  

[Silencer Wolf]

Finally! Yue'er was happy beyond words, she was finally the well-groomed, clean and pretty palace horse again!

The dragon-scaled mare neighed, unable to hold back her happiness. She circled Maralah, then leaned in to nuzzle the 'stranger' affectionately. The native girl was a stranger to the mare no more, for despite her not looking like the ones in her homeland, Yue now considered her to a friend.  

[Xiao Ling]

Maralah smiled and chuckled to herself, delighted to see someone happy with her help. She then patted Yue and gave her an apple before leaving the mare alone to keep her accessories in the teepee.

Not long after the native girl came out from her teepee and approched the mare with her arms full of apples. She then placed them on the ground beside Yue and said, "You must be hungry now, feel free to eat them."  

[Silencer Wolf]

Yue'er munched happily on the apple, watching quietly as the girl retreated into the tent-like structure. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, feeling very much refreshed and definitely more alive than before. The mare lowered her head towards the water and studied her reflection. As vain as it sounded, she could not help but admired the face that peeked back graciously.

Her self-admiration disturbed, Yue turned around to Maralah's return, tail flicking as more apples were placed beside her. Really, the girl was spoiling her! As much as she would love to finish the fruits up, Yue had to admit that she was getting rather full, and as a sign of courtesy, ate only two.
 

[Xiao Ling]

"Go on, you can have all of them," said the girl, not knowing that Yue was full. "I have more, so tell me if you need it," she continued with a smile, before returning to her teepee. "And you can stay here if you like, I don't mind," she said to the mare and entered the teepee.  

[Silencer Wolf]

Yue'er whinnied, watching Maralah's retreat. The mare looked from the tent to the apples beside her then back to the tent, confused as to why such delicious food was left behind. Nudging one off the top of the pile with her lips, Yue blew before picking it up gently with her teeth. Next the mare trotted towards Maralah's tent and placed said apple before the entrance.

Yue returned to the pile of apples and repeated what she had done until all of them have been relocated to the tent. After doing so, the mare made her way towards the nearest tree and laid herself under the shade, careful to pick only the dryest and cleanest spot. It did not not take long for her to fall asleep, with dreams of adventures alongside her Admiral Wu Shen.

[Xiao Ling]

After a morning stroll, Chenoa trotted to the lake, avoiding any two-leggeds if possible. She managed to grab an apple before that, and that made her a happy mare. Upon reaching the lake, the mare bent her neck down and drank some water.  

[Silencer Wolf]

High above the blackbuck mare an eagle soared, casting a mere speck of a shadow on the surface of the lake below as it circled above. Tuari was out for his usual morning hunt, and as he spotted Chenoa below, the eagle let out a scream in greeting.

Further inland a buckskin stallion grazed peacefully by himself, enjoying the fresh and delightful dew laden grass provided bestowed by Mother Earth. At Tuari's scream the mustang raised his head and glanced in the direction of the lake, both ears alert and pressed forward.  

[Xiao Ling]

Chenoa looked and smiled at the eagle, before wading herself into the lake. She made small splashes as she wade deeper into the lake. The mare then put her head into the water and washed herself, feeling refreshed.  

[Silencer Wolf]

Tuari watched in dismay as Chenoa entered the waters and splashed about, scattering a small school of about five to eight fishes he saw swimming around rather boldly near the edge of the lake. The eagle clicked its beak in annoyance and soared a little way upriver, hoping by chance to catch himself a nice fat fish for breakfast.

Grand Dynasty stepped out into the clearing, relaxing almost instantly as he caught sight of his friend at the lake. The stallion chuckled to himself for behaving like a paranoid, but he did catch a whiff of a strange scent near the teepee at predawn.

"Chenoa! Good morning, friend," Dynasty called out to the little soquili, as he started in a trot towards her.  

[Xiao Ling]

Chenoa turned back and saw her friend calling to her. She ran back to the edge of the river and greeted the stallion in a happy tone.

"Nice morning, isn't it?" she said. "And good morning to you too. You should wade into the lake, it's cold and refreshing. Really."  

[Silencer Wolf]

"Yes, it is a gorgeous morning." Dynasty chuckled at Chenoa's exuberance, and felt himself catching the 'happy bug' too. "Why, I think I will do just that!"

"Race ya to the water!" The mustang neighed, and took off in the direction of the lake.  

[Xiao Ling]

"But I just..." replied Chenoa but she could not resist herself. She turned and ran after the buckskin stallion towards the river. "Hey, that's not fair. I can't run as fast as you do!" she exclaimed, neighing happily.
