Finally sorting the entangled equipment into several separate piles based upon position, Bailey stood up with a set of chaser gear in her freshly manicured hands. "Here you g-" The brunette cut her words short when the boy was no longer in sight. Just then her hair whipped with a sudden, unnatural gust of wind. Glancing into the clear blue sky a generous smile took over her lips. She didn't mind that Einri couldn't wait to get in the air, she actually preferred the devotion.
Placing the gear back onto the sunlit ground, she turned back to the clipboard to ensure that the boy had completed it properly. "Oh! Hi, Jane. Yeah, just fill that out and I'll grab you some gear here so you can practice." Collecting a canary yellow practice jersey, a thick pair of gloves, and some elbow pads, she quickly returned to the table and peered over Jane's shoulder as she signed in on the sheet. "Ooh. Chaser? Looks like we'll be having a bit of competition here today. Einri there's going for chaser, too. Here. Put these on. I know the elbow pads are a pain, but its just a safety precaution during try-outs. Don't worry, though...I won't make you wear the helmet." Laughter rang from Bailey's lips as she moved over to the equipment and unlocked the trunk of balls. Removing one of the quaffles, she tossed it over her shoulder, just to see if Jane might catch it.
Armed with a hearty smile, she sat herself on the edge of the sign-in table. "Why don't get used to flying with the quaffle, and then see if you can't get that big ol' ball in that tiny little goal up there. And send Ein down here to get suited up, if you don't mind. Then you two can practice together." A slight teasing tone slipped into the last of her words. After all, the two would be battling for the open chaser position - assuming the current holders of the other two spots wouldn't skip out on try-outs, of course.
Going over a couple of new plays she had designed on a small piece of parchment, Bailey found herself short of breath momentarily when another first year surprised her with his presence. "Oh, hello there. Yes, yes. Your brother plays for the Falmouth Falcons. I- I mean...we met at the sorting ceremony." She bit her tongue for a moment. She specifically remembered his use of the word unfortunately when explaining that his brother was Josh Cloud. Pushing herself off of the table and setting down her mini-play book, she reached for her Nimbus and began to spin it in her hands skillfully. "Nice to see you've decided to try-out. Go ahead and fill your information in on the sign-up sheet there and we'll get you in the air as soon as possible. May I ask what position you're interested in, Devin?" Her thin, perfectly crafted lips peeled into another genuine smile as her deep brown eyes caressed the old broom that the boy held in his hands.

Devin Cloud First Year- Hufflepuff "We need not look into the future, because today is what we should be worrying about" Age:11 Height: 4'10" Weight: 100 lbs Birthday: 30 April "Well, I've seen that you posted the need for a beater,"he reiterated to her. He could also play beater, because his other brother Shamus, had played that in his days at Hogwarts. He looked at her, then answered her question .
"I will just be trying out for beater, I mean, unless you wanted me to be a chaser,"he admitted. He would play anything the team captain had assigned to him. He knew a bit about every single position, because each one of his brothers played each position. He saw her eying down his broom.
"She's beautiful, isn't she?"he asked her, talking about the broom. Even for being an old model, it was still beautiful. Mood: Anxious Class: Quidditch PitchRelationship Status: Single

Bailey smiled in response to the boy's willingness to fill any open spot. "Well, to be honest, all of the spots will need filling. You can choose to go out for one position, but if you prove to be better at another, or if someone else beats you out, you may end up being placed in a position other than the one you intended. We'll just have to see." Her voice began to trail off as she turned to the collection of equipment again. "Hmm...let's see." She mumbled to herself, picking up another jersey, a pair of gloves, and a set of both shin and elbow guards. "Here ya are. Oh-" Bailey carefully unloaded the gear onto the table before scrambling back to the piles she had sorted out in the grass. "Aha! Don't wanna be caught in the air with a bludger racing after you without a beater's bat in your hands." Sliding the large wooden bat towards him, she unlatched the trunk of balls again and smirked down at the shivering bludger. "Don't worry. I'll give you a chance to get up in the air and warm up before I let this feisty little guy out." Rolling back on her heels, she let herself fall to the ground clumsily. Her eyes finding pictures in the clouds as she laid back and waited for more students to sign-in for try-outs.

He wanted to warm-up with Ein before the tryouts actually started. It would be a great warm-up for both of them, and it would probably help them perform better. Plus, he always did little warm-ups with the Quaffle before every match he was in back at home. He couldn't stop his tradition now, because every time he did the warm-up, he did great. "Yeah, no problem!" Bailey replied, reaching for another quaffle and tossing up into the air. She was glad Devin seemed so well rounded, but it would be the try-outs that determined where he would actually stand. Sitting up on her elbow, her lips curled into a teasing smile. "I guess we'll just see where you end up." The brunette tucked a long strand of hair behind her ear as she waited to see what the boy could do with such a fancy broomstick.

Devin Cloud First Year- Hufflepuff "We need not look into the future, because today is what we should be worrying about" Age:11 Height: 4'10" Weight: 100 lbs Birthday: 30 April Devin took off into the air very quickly, the broom stick riding smoothly. He had the Quaffle tucked down to ensure the best grip possible, which is how he always gripped it. He was flying around at first, but then sharply turned his broom's direction. Somehow the broom had withstood that sharp turn, and now Devin flew directly toward the goal, quaffle still tucked. He progressively got closer and closer to the goal, gaining more and more speed as he flew. That's when he decided to attempt one of his most practiced shots. He rode quickly toward the left most goal. He faked the throw with his right hand, switching hands in the process. He threw the quaffle using his weak-side hand towards the center goal. Even though it was his weak-side, the quaffle still had velocity behind it. The quaffle flew through the air, approaching the goal quickly.
It reached the goal quicker than he thought it would. The quaffle had ricocheted off the inside of the hoop, and went in. He was honestly quite surprised. He honestly has never seen a shot do something like that. Well, other than his brother's shots all doing that.
He saw the quaffle traveling downward to the ground. He chased after it quickly, trying to catch it before it hit the ground. He flew down at a very high velocity, and caught the quaffle about 10 meters before it hit the ground. He pulled up casually, and continued practicing his favourite shots.

Devin Cloud First Year- Hufflepuff "We need not look into the future, because today is what we should be worrying about" Age:11 Height: 4'10" Weight: 100 lbs Birthday: 30 April Devin now decided to just do a little bit of target practice like he always would do. He picked a spot where he would throw from, then he would move back so he could throw it while moving. He then obviously threw the ball into the goal farthest from it. He did this while he waited for the others to get to the Pitch. He always enjoyed flying on the Quidditch Pitch alone. It always seemed like he had so much more room to maneuver. But Quidditch isn't a one man sport, so he would have to get used to having 'not as much' space.
He flew as fast as he could at the right goal, quaffle tucked in his left arm, then he switched hands again, and repeated what he did before, but this time, it was his strong hand. The quaffle flew through the goal, barely nipping the inside of the hoop. He had learned to use both his hands on account of his brother, who had always told him to use his weak-hand more than the strong. Since the strong hand comes naturally. So he always did just that. L E N N O X x G A L V A N I ________________________________________________ There was a small shuffling sound coming towards the pitch. The maker of that noise was none other than third year Hufflepuff Lennox Galvani. The summer had taken toll to the poor boy. Living in a muggle town with no sufficient places to practice quidditch, he was out of his touch. Still, giving up his chaser position wasn't something that he wanted. Spotting arrivals already, he looked up high to see one of them already filling the air. It took him a moment, just watching the boy. It had been so long since he had been on a broom. His summer plan of acquiring a broom was...less than succesful. His parents were skeptical on purchasing an item such as a broom at a demanding price for a sport they didn't even know existed. Then there was his father whom always doubted Lennox's actions. The boy tried not to think of quidditch and his father in the same thought. Sports never blended well in his father's side.
Coming out of his fixation, he neared the table. "Hello," He greeted the both of them shyly. The glasses on his face slid slightly, and Lennox automatically put it back on his face, an involountary motion he had gotten used to. The girl in front of him seemed preoccupied with the sign-in sheet so he averted making conversation. He wouldn't know how to start one even if he had the opportunity to. Jane was a Hufflepuff he had only seen on occassion due to the difference in year. Directing his attention to the captain, he gave her a more assertive smile. Here was a face he was more familiar with. "Hello Bailey, how was your summer?"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Jane nodded and quickly put on the gear. She was going to get this. She had to. It had been heard dream from the moment she learned about Quidditch and she certainly wasn't going to lose out to some first year. She finish putting the gear on and grabbed her broom. With one solid movement she was off the ground and had caught the quaffle under her arm. Her brown hair flew up with the wind, this felt right. A large smile grew on Jane's face, she was ready to do this. She took the quaffle from under her arm and started moving towards the goals. She tossed the quaffle through the goal and flew after it. Jane caught the ball as it left the other side of the metal ring. She flew around a few more times then again tried to get the quaffle threw the goals. This time she dropped the ball and and hit it with the end of her broom once again sending it flying through the goal.ooc; outfit in side pic, music in top.MADE BY PURPLEINATOR■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

She did the shots his brother commonly referred to as 'Little Trick Shots'. Quite honestly, they did not work against a Goalie very often. Devin has seen it go in before by chance, but that game was less serious than the normal. He went down to the girl, casually flying downwards.
"Hey, how about a 1-on-1?" he asked the girl. He would be the keeper in this instance. He didn't know if she knew how to play keeper. So, he would have to do it instead.
"I'll be keeper," he said, no tint of doubt being shown through his speech. He needed something to do, and this was it. He thought it would be quite fun. Mood: Amused Class: Quidditch PitchRelationship Status: Single

Devin Cloud First Year- Hufflepuff "We need not look into the future, because today is what we should be worrying about" Age:11 Height: 4'10" Weight: 100 lbs Birthday: 30 April She stared him down with a mean stare. It seemed to be more hostile than the normal. He didn't know how to react to this, because no one has ever acted like that around him. Maybe it was because she thought he was going out for chaser as well. Well, he would have to clear that up right now.
"Jeez, I'm not even going out for chaser this year," he said to her, making sure she knew the fact that he wasn't. He was trying to avoid any future altercations like he always did. He never really treated anybody bad enough to get into one; however. It seemed as if she was judging him before he even introduced himself. He never really got along with people like this, for they always thought he was conceited, mean, and shallow; when really, he was quite the opposite.
He just shrugged it off, and went to the goal posts. He always felt comfortable being keeper, but of course, the Hufflepuff team already has a keeper, so he had practically no chance of being that. So instead, Devin just went for the open position because every position was fun to him. Some positions more than others; however. He enjoyed being chaser the most, but there were not enough positions, and his friend Ein was going out for that position, so he did not want problems caused because Devin was on the team, and he wasn't, or vice versa.
He sat on his broom waiting for the girl to make her first move. His tactics for playing goalie was literally all anticipation, but he had gotten very good at reading the person's form when they go to shoot. Each person has their own way of shooting, and everyone has their ways of showing where they are about to go. His when shooting was a little kick on the same side as the direction he was shooting. Like if he kicked his right leg, he was shooting right, or if he kicked his left leg back, it was a shot going left. These kicks were extremely quick; however, so they were hard to pick up on. These little kicks had a purpose though. They were not just for looks. THe kicks were made so he could create a great torque on his body, which would strengthen his shot by a great amount. His brother taught him that during the offseason, when he wasn't out doing something else for the Falcons.
He still awaited the girl's approach, really hoping she took a straight on approach, for it made his job much easier Mood: Eager Class: Quidditch Pitch Relationship Status: Single

Einri FarrenEinri, very embarrassed, landed on the ground smoothly next to the team captain and started putting on the chaser gear. When his helmet was tightened, he resumed flying, noticing that Devin and the other person trying out for chaser were in a spout of trouble. "Hey! Want to play a mock game? 2-1?" he called out, getting both of their attentions momentarilly, "Good practice you know!"Einri Farren-First Year Hufflepuff
