"I wish." Kaistern grumbled before taking a swig of his drink. "Business has been slow for me and I've had to resort to doing menial tasks for people like getting their cats down from trees. Very ungrateful cats at that...." he muttered feeling one of the scratches on his cheek. "Apparently Venge has been stealing all my customers." he joked.

With a small chuckle Barkeep assured Kaisten, "There will be more opprotunities for you before long, I can promise you that. Nothing is ever peaceful for long." She should know, as she had lived in Mosskeep longer than anyone.

Evelyn sighed and sipped her water. Kajiya's words had only softened her worries slightly; she'd only hope that if she ever had her own children, she'd feel love for them like Kajiya had said she would. She tilted her head, towards Rebekah before laughing slightly.

"Well, at least you are young and you'll stay like that forever. Oh, if I was just a couple years younger than what I am, I'd feel fresh and young everyday like yourself." She had exaggerated obviously, for she wasn't even that old and would never exactly be that old physically.
She clasped her hands and laid her chin on them as she glanced down the counter, at Kaistern who was complaining about work. It is hard for everyone here, since there wasn't many newcoming travelers that came by, but she didn't think anyone could complain. They liked it here, or at least Evelyn did, and she would never leave, or rather she couldn't. Nonetheless, she returned her glance to Kajiya and widened her smile. "Well, you've probably done everyone here at least once already, so you might as well just do Rebekah anyways to finish the cycle and start all over again," she said, almost half-heartedly joking about it.

Kajiya let go of Rebekah and wagged a finger at Evelyn. "She's a fruit that needs to ripen a little more." She, rather frightningly, didn't object to the comment about sleeping with everyone. She made her way to Barkeep and wrapped her arm's around the tavern owners neck. "Oh? Should I not be on my back? I could take the top next time if you like..." She gave a sly grin as she spoke.

Rebekah was extremely confused as she clambered back onto Evelyn. "Why are we talking about fruit now? I'm so confused." She pouted.

Venge smiled and sighed as he sipped at his drink. He was hungry after a week of no food, but he woulnd't bother Barkeep right now. She was busy. Instead, he reflected on his relationship with everyone here, and how he came to be here. First there was Barkeep. A nice woman, Venge was surprised that she was still single. She seemed serious, and was to a degree, but she took care of Venge and Lucy and a good group of others. Kajiya was her utter opposite in the seemingly serious area. She was a freebird. Venge was probably the only adult who didn't bed with her.

Evelyn and Ren were of opposite affections for Venge. Ren was totally trustworthy and a good friend. Such was their friendship that Venge would willingly donate blood to the vampire. Evelyn was not trusted, though. Venge didn't know excatly when she will lash out at Lucy, but he was sure she would.

Kaistern was O.K. A little apathetic, but when you get him to make a promise, he would keep it. He was also very proficient with a blade and Venge kinda feared that. The man was a mercenary and if Venge were his target, the lycan would probably die.Rebekah was high on Venge's list of friends, under Barkeep and above Kajiya. She was a nice girl and would turn out fine, but he worried for her sanity when Kajiya was around. Mary, the Prince, was Venge's least favored person here, and Sora was a nice person. All in all, a weird bunch.

"God I hope so...I'd rather not have to sink so low as to give the senior citizens a sponge bath." Kaistern said with a frown as he looked down into his nearly empty mug as he swirled the remaining mead around. "And yes, that was an offer I got after helping the lady get Mr. Fluffums out of the tree." he said as he looked back at Barkeep with a flat expression.

Evelyn laughed. So was the cheerfulness of the tavern that it had actually gotten Evelyn to genuinely smile. She patted Rebekah's head. "You're so naive, that you're almost too cute. You'll understand all Kajiya's dirty remarks when you get older." She held onto Rebekah before lifting her head. "Kaistern, don't worry. Washing seniors isn't that bad. My job is at the bath house; I've probably seen everyone a little naked at least once," she murmured, shrugging as she jumped into Kaistern and Barkeep's conversation.

Cameron came out of the closet of the tavern, gasping for air and looking a little crazed. He staggered out into the open, catching his breath and glanced about, a little confused. If his memory was correct, then he was killed. By Ren. Cameron looked around the tavern quickly, his grey eyes landing on the vampire with ease before he pointed to him. "You! You little-" Cameron stopped himself, not about to call him...that word. That was what had gotten Cameron killed in the first place. "You killed me!"

Evelyn's crimson eyes glided over to the loud noise coming from across the room. Cameron stumbled out, seeming just revived, and she covered her mouth with a giggle. "Snapped your neck is more like it," she added.

Cameron took a step to the vampire. "That totally wasn't fair! You didn't even give me a warning!" Cameron's little commotion was nothing more than complaining and surely nothing new. Cameron was always starting fights with the older men in Mosskeep, especially Ren.

Ren stopped momentarily, pausing from wiping the table to look at Cameron who looked like he had just woken from his little 'nap'. Ren grinned, a little pleased he ticked the younger male off and ran a hand through his dark redish hair. "You very well deserved it. Now stop with your whining. You are bothering the customers." He grabbed the dirty empty glasses off the table and went to the counter and put them in the sink.

That certainly didn't help Cameron's temper, who was still angry with Ren about their fight four days before hand. "Why, you-"
Cameron paused and sneezed loudly. A loud poof and a cloud of smoke popped out and faded. Cameron sneezed twice afterwards, following two more poofs and twice as much smoke covering him until they faded. No longer was Cameron male but now female. She blushed and glanced up, feeling a little defeated.

Barkeep made absolutely no effort to shake Kajiya off, as it would only bring opprotunity for the half-celestial to do worse. "If by 'take the top' you mean to clean that room you've undoubtably messied earlier, feel free." Rejected yet again, it seems! Barkeep never really was receptive towards anyone's advances for the moment being. She always gave the inn or lack of interest as an excuse, but sometimes there seemed to be a little more to it than that.

Back to her conversation with Kaistern, she replied, "If nothing else, I could use a little extra help keeping everyone from killing each other under my roof. If a fight breaks out and you're the one to stop it, or even if you can stop a fight before it starts, I'd be willing to throw a few extra coins your way." Barkeep never did like cleaning up after other people's fights. Speaking of which, it seemed Cameron was back.

"If you've got a problem, take it outside." A couple moments of silence on Barkeep's part. "If not, sit yourself down and relax a bit. Tell me what you'd like and I'll get you something to drink."

Cameron couldn't help but turned even more red. Cameron would always misunderstand Barkeep's kindness for something a little more. She sat down submissively, still a bit flustered, but decided not to start a fight for several reasons.

One, Ren would very well be able to kick his a** back to wherever they went when they died. Second, he didn't want to bother Barkeep; Cameron was always fond of her out of respect. Thirdly, well, Cameron was a girl. She touched her chest, embarrassed to find something there and looked to her...well, trousers. It hurt her manhood, surely, and she wished desperately to turn back. But the magic wouldn't work until she gave a genuine sneeze and until then, Cameron stuck as a female. She leaned her cheek on her hand with a slight pout. "Anything is fine, Barkeep. Just make it sweet, okay?" She was in a mopey mood.

Barkeep offered Cameron a small nod before going on to do just that. "Would you preffer some wine or honeymead? Or would you rather have something without any alchohol in it?" A couple moments later this question followed, "Shall I also check and see if O have any pepper? Or do you want to wait this one out?" So many questions, yes, but Barkeep never liked to assume. Especially not after having Mary for a customer all these years.

Rebekah promptly flew off of Evelyn's lap and dove onto Cameron. "Cammie!" she squealed. "Cammie, can you tell me a story? Or give me cookies? Or make me a cake?" She often started asking Cameron for things as soon as she caught sight of the boy, or girl as it was occasionally. The requests went on until someone stopped her. "Or catch me a bunny? Or find me a kitty? Or buy me some candy?" She took a deep breath and got ready for round two.

Cameron thought about what she wanted before se opened her mouth, her voice slightly more feminine as she looked at Barkeep. Honeymead sounds nice. And I think I'll wait this out. Sure, I want to sneeze but it's not worth a nose full of pepper." She nodded but had to lean back so the ever so tall Rebekah dove into him. She grimaced, unsure of how to react before pushing Rebekah off. "Shut up Rebekah! And don't call me Cammie. Call me Cameron. If you behave, I'll give you this." She dug into her pocket and found a piece of hard candy. She held it in her now feminine hands, closing them before Rebekah could claw it away from her.

Rebekah was younger than Cameron but Cameron had always felt beneath her. It was probably because Rebekah was so tall that Cameron felt sort of threatened by the nature fae. She would give Rebekah candy if she could just stop.

"That doesn't actually sound half bad." Kaistern noted before going to take another drink, only to find there were only a few drops left of his mead. "Certainly better than the grab bag of jobs I tend to take on otherwise, and likely more fun." he said as he peered into his tankard to confirm his suspicions. Kaistern may not have shown it very well, cracking a smile at best, but he did, in fact, know 'fun'. "It'd also be convenient for my traditional end-of-the-day drink." he said holding his tankard out to Barkeep in asking for a refill.

As she did when she was denied things, Rebekah got petulant. "Give me that candy or I'll cut your ******** hand off and feed it to the—" And then she wasn't talking, because she'd simply magicked the candy into her mouth. She could do simple things like stealing candy and cutting people in half. She happily snuggled into Cameron and mumbled, "Oh, Cammie, you're my absolute favorite ever. You have such nice stuff for me. I wanna snuggle you forever and put you in my pocket and then snuggle you forever again."
