T a t e ☆ A l e x i s t h exd u o Smelling the turpentine, the restraining officer who was carrying Tate turned around and stared at the arts doorway. He knew something bad was about to happen. Rushing back in, he saw the injured nurse on the floor, crying for help. He set Tate down at a desk, picked up the nurse and waited. He realized Keith had left the room, missing him by a second, and decided going to tell the security officers what is happening.
A few minutes passed and Al's attention was now to a nurse that barged into the cafeteria screaming. She was telling all staff and patients that the building was now in lock down and the announcement was about to be made. Feeling a lump in her throat, Al looked at Trevor for a moment and stood up. "I have to go find Tate." She said with such concern and pain. What happened? How did it happen? Where is everyone? Her mind racing a mile a minute as she spoke quickly, "You can come or stay, but I need to go." She leaned down, kissing Trevor's cheek softly and headed for the door.

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys
Finally reaching the end of the hallway Keith shook the can he was holding. It was all but empty now the liquids being splashed upon the walls and floors from the art room down to where he was currently standing. Outside he could see a part of the area where it was open to the sunlight. Where a few trees had been allowed to grow and patients at times sat there to relax. "All things will one day return to ash" Keith muttered pushing the door open and lighting the end of the rag at the same time. It caught flame quickly rushing towards the opening it was stuffed in. With a strong throw Keith let the can fly towards the closest tree as it struck it the last bits of liquids splashing on it. As keith went back in the fumes in the can ignited as there was a loud explosion as the metal can detonated sending a shower of shrapnel and bits of flames all over the yard.
Turned back into the halls Keith looked at the trail of liquid he had made. It was already starting to strip the paint off the walls. Evidence of it's potency. The smell of it was so alluring. It wafted thru the halls and pulled Keith onwards in his quest. Its scent was euphoric and threatening at times to overwhelm him if he stood to close to it. All he had to do now was strike the lighter again. The final strike to end this place and shower it in the embrace and warmth of flames.

There was much chaos before the calm, Aster stood and watched it all while her fingers barely clung to her painting. There was obvious danger and Aster stood there watching it all with herself backed against a wall. She was observing, things becoming clearer and more crowded, just merely taking it in. A smell that was once damp grew stronger, she recognized it well from curious education in the past, her eyes turned towards Keith that was the can that he splashed about the room. She'd follow him, a knowing idea as the other workers were clamping out of the room desperately, others hurt.
The can tossed out into the open shattered "He has.." she didn't bother finishing the sentence in her own head, she'd keep her painting with her though as she'd began to run towards Keith. It was obvious to see what he was prepared to do and Aster didn't want it to happen. She'd attempt to strike the lighter away from his hand or knock him down and away in any way possible with the large canvas. She wasn't very fast, and she wasn't very strong, but the canvas would provide some support along with her small, silent figure. She'd probably get badly burned in the process with the liquid trail that she walked on, or stop the terrible incident entirely, but she made herself decision to strike him.

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys
Still holding the lighter Keith watched Aster as she walked down the hallway towards him. Watched her as she sped up her pace and watched her as she tried to swing a picture at him. He barely moved tho as the wood struck him. Only a slight sneer came to his face as he stood there gripping the lighter now tighter then before as he looked down at the small framed girl. She was not some one he thought about burning nor were any of the patients within the hospital. "Move" Keith said simply to her as he reached with his left hand and grabbed the frame and gave it a hard tug past him. His intent was to pull her off balance and behind him so he wouldn't be bothered by the girl. "Your in the way" he said stepping forwards towards the splashed liquids as he struck the lighter into life. It was a wonder the fumes alone didn't ignite from the open flame. The scent of the stuff was overwhelming.

She'd fall forward past him in a quick thud onto her hands and knees, not much sound escaping from her other than the gasp of surprise. She'd look back towards him, a little confused though still persistant to stop him "You're going to hurt people, including yourself." she stated calmly before getting to her feet in attempts to go at him again. What was her best angle, maybe this was overly drastic even for her to run up behind him and jump on his back to try and gain some form of control. Jumping on him to throw him forward wouldn't of been the best idea, but she'd attempt to yank his body back towards her away from the liquid, while attempting to reach for the flame. If she'd touch the flame with the palm of her hand, well it would burn her and she'd quickly yank her hand back from the reaction to pain, but it would snuff it out for the couple of seconds before he could light it again. It would of seemed like a child trying to annoyingly toy with some elder sibling in some cases, a bigger kid taking something from a smaller kid, but it wasn't the case here.

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys
Having stopped paying attention to Aster after he had pulled her behind him Keith had lessened the grip on the lighter. A choice mistake as Aster suddenly jumped on his shoulders from behind and reach out for the lighter. It was difficult keeping on his feet with the girl putting all of her weight backwards away from the way he was going. "Get off" Keith yelled as she snuffed out the flame for the time being and successfully caused him to stumble back as she yanked her hand back. It wasn't much but her simply being there was enough to throw off his balance as he fell to the floor tho what she had likely not planned was him to end up falling atop her in the scuffle.

It burned, it burned badly and she only clung tighter from the pain and bit her lip harshly to try and keep from crying out. It was more of an instinctive reaction, but it was enough. He was thrashing around and she wouldn't let go, but as she yelped as she realized he lost his balance. The feeling of gravity taking over was always a surprising one, even if you actually chose to jump from that ledge or that airplane. She hit the ground hard and his weight on top of her, the force hurt, and her head hurt just a whole lot more. Consciousness fled from her fast, and she was out like a light. It was her best attempt, most likely her last, though why do it instead of run like others? The consequences of his actions were something she didn't want to see, so in a small way she got her wish. She bought some others at least a good thirty seconds to a minute.

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys
Feeling Aster's grip on him fall limp Keith sat up. Somehow in the little scuffle he had held onto the lighter. Standing up slowly he looked down at the girl in proximity to the liquids. He had no want to harm her nor want to see her up in flames. Reaching down he sat her up as after a few moments of fumbling with her unconscious body he was finally able to get her up and over his shoulder. She smelled tho. Her feet at least and anything she had rubbed against smelled of turpentine. Looking down the hallway by now the paint thinner had eaten thru most if not all of the paint as it was slowly seeping off the walls into pools on the ground. "Tch." Moving back down the hallway Keith held Aster as he did his best to focus on his steps. How easy it would have been to simply light the hallway on fire while both of them were in it. How easy it would have been to simply let the lighter touch the walls and set them both ablaze.

It was such a strange feeling to be in a sudden relationship, but Trevor was happy, unable to remember the last time he was kissed before today. He was about to respond to her pastime until the nurse came in saying the place was in lockdown. "What?" Trevor had no idea what was going on, but could see how panicked Al was getting from concern for Tate. "I'll come too..." He got up and slowly followed behind her, trying his best to keep up.

Pacing down the hall with Trevor right behind her, Al looked frantically at each door. She was so panicked that her mind couldn't even process how to get to the arts room. She made sure to keep her walking slow enough for Trevor to still be right there. She let out a small sigh before stopping at the next corner. The smell of turpentine filled the air and made her feel light headed. Looking at Trevor, she reached over and took his hand. Lacing her soft fingers with his made her feel a bit more relieved. She was about to speak but noticed another presence in the hallway. A young male patient carrying the girl she saw outside. "Hey! What the hell is going on?!" Al demanded with an agitated glare. She didn't know what to think between the knocked out girl on this kids back, the smell in the hallway and the fact that there were no staff members around.

Looking at Al Keith simply growled. More people coming into the halls and splashing around. They were ruining everything with there presences. Shifting Aster on his shoulder somewhat he continued to move on past the two of them. "Get out of here" was all he said as he looked down at Al as he walked past her gripping Aster tighter so she wouldn't fall off. "If you don't you might get burned" Keith added with a wicked grin as he turned back around and continued onwards towards finding a place to drop Aster.

Al looked at Keith with an irritated glare before he walked past them. "Where is Tate?!" She snapped at him, grabbing his arm to stop him from walking away. "What do you mean? What did you do?!" She shouted at him, squeezing his arm tighter and clenching her jaw. So many thoughts raced through her head from Keith's actions to what could have happened to Tate.

"You must have things mistaken here" Keith said standing there as he started to laugh a bit. Looking at her a grin of psychosis covered his face. "Here within these walls you have no control over anyone or thing. Only fire governs with a big stick and yet a gentle voice." Pulling away from Al Keith took a few steps back holding up the lighter in his hands. "We all live in a house on fire, no fire department to call; no way out, just the upstairs window to look out of while the fire burns the house down with us trapped, locked in it. Waiting for the end that is to come" Keith said to her as he put the lighter against the wall holding his finger on the flint. It would take but a simple spark to set this hallway and everything thru to the art room ablaze.

Stepping back, Al's eyes widened as she understood now what he was planning. "Trevor, we need to go..now!" She shouted, squeezing his hand gently and pulling him with her as she ran towards the art room. 'that idiot is going to kill us all! The thought raced through her head over and over before she finally reached the art room. Seeing Tate on the floor she felt a weight lift, sweet relief. She looked around, smelling the same chemical as before, seeing blood and water over the floor.
Taking a deep breath, Al turned to Trevor. "Lets take him to the cafeteria and get help." She said almost vomiting at the thought of asking any staff members here for help. She leaned over and kissed Trevor's cheek before releasing his hand and kneeling down to Tate. She put one of his arms over her shoulders and and lifted him on to his feet. She was going to drag him down the hall but knew he was a bit too heavy.

Whereabouts: Halls Audiance: Dorothy Personality: Kane Music in my mind:Lights Out
Kane barely stopped as Dorothy slammed against the door to take it down. He slowed enough not to run into her, catching his breath for a moment as he watched her to the same. His smile widened, the wild look in his eyes getting more intense as the excitement rose. He gave an insane laugh as she made a gun with her hand and ran off again. He didn't give her much time to get ahead as he followed her upward to the second floor. The hall was outstretched ahead of them as they finished ascending the stairs. She knew where she was going, he could tell. The fingers of his right hand twitched slightly, itching to have something in his hand. He knew that as soon as he had something, he would be heading back down stairs to find that stupid oaf of a nurse that followed him around everywhere he went.
Finally they arrived. The room was labeled and the sight of it made the smile on the red head's face widen. He walked over to it and jiggled the handle, finding it locked. "Well s**t..." He mumbled before looking around and then to the girl. "Got any hair pins?" He asked, putting a hand out in cause she did so that she could give them to him. Though most things were denied of them, he wasn't sure if they were careful enough to make sure they didn't have hair pins. Girls may be allowed to have them for their hair, as most had long hair that needed to be pinned back. He knew how to pick locks, so this would be a breeze as long as he could find what he needed. If she didn't...well, he was strong enough, he could just knock the door completely off it's hinges. He knew that soon enough someone would notice the door downstairs having been knocked off, and they only had a limited amount of time before someone was going to be coming after them.
