Clara's nose in an attempt to turn itself inside out, made one of the oddest faces she had ever made before. "It smells like Butyric acid and Iron! Arceus no!" Clara grabbed the towel out of her bag quickly covering her mouth avoiding getting sick in front of everyone.

Suddenly Clara felt something bouncing, oh no, she's going to get sick. It feels like her whole body is bouncing around. Wait. No. So is the table, and the chairs, and the boys. Oh its an earthquake. In one unexpected swift motion the table was in the air and nallah with it, as the bug screeched the entire time. Clara was screaming too, but not because of aerial flight. No this was becuase the girl was now covered in green sludge, that was still moving!

Quickly the girl threw the crap off of her onto the floor forcing her pokemon to dance away from the awful odor. Thinking to herself she was going to make that Butterfly... moth?... THING Pay!

"We are so lost." Sub told the Scraggy riding on his shoulders. They had ran a good two miles up hill after being chased by that damned mutant Pikachu, only to realize they had ended up in the woods, somehow. Before they could even get their bearings a group of very angry, and very beat up, furry little creatures with big sharp teeth came out of nowhere and jumped him. Something had done a number on them prior so with Landor's help they were dispatched easily, however now his clothes were ripped in torn. But it didn't end there with the bad smell and the torn clothes, no. Before they found themselves lost in the woods a Wingull had fallen out of the sky and landed right on its head. Weird right? Well apparently someone had zapped the thing and in its paralyzed state the bird decided to relieve its self on Sub's head as landed. Landor thought this was hilarious.

"GRAY, can you find the others yet?" Sub asked the AI, the man seeing some sort of cave-like structure in the distance through the horizon of trees. GRAY would not answer that question as something else took precedence, the ground shaking violently and without warning, a flock of Pikipek fleeing from the treetops. "What on earth was that!?" Sub shouted, Landor, looking alert as ever from atop Sub's shoulders.

"Artificial seismic activity detected. Something big just woke up." GRAY commented.

"You don't say." The man commented as he noticed the bolt of lightning come crashing down in the distance.

"Shadow Pokemon detected dead ahead. The source of that earthquake and where the others are is probably there." GRAY spoke up again. Sub wouldn't need to be told twice as he made a beeline for the cave up ahead.

-----

After five minutes of running and leaping over fallen trees the cave entrance would be in view, however Sub would be delayed just a little more as a strange creature came running away from the cave and up to Sub.

"Rat rat rat!" The tiny black rodent cried as it stood up on its hind legs, frantically pointing towards the cave.

"Is that a Rattata?" Sub mused aloud, temporarily forgetting about the more important matters he must tend to.

"Rattata rat ta ta!" The Rattata continued on.

"Native subspecies of Rattata, it has developed a partial Dark typing and by nature are fiercely loyal followers of their bosses." GRAY spoke up. Wait, did GRAY have information on this region the entire time and just didn't tell Sub? He'll deal with that later.

"Must see me as a fellow Dark type then. Alright, what's wrong boy? Show me." He told the Rattata. The mouse Pokemon would surprisingly understand the man and immediately race off back towards the cave, looking back every now and then to see if the fellow 'Dark type' was following him, and he was. Soon Sub would enter Verdant Cavern and see what was going on.

Crystal and Cera's combined efforts would lift the poison-type hybrid bodily from the ground as they both focus a super-effective load of energy into lifting her bodily from the ground. Her mind fills with visions as Lykas begins projecting and she screams a little from the sensation but there's still a twisted smile on her face even as the pain crosses her body.

Despite the situation and having nothing to do with things getting so out of control, there's an ominous crackling sound in the clouds above them that should be familiar to anyone who was involved at the Meteor Falls incident. A pillar of solid lightning descends from the sky towards Crystal, Blizzard, and Lykas as Kess rips off a massive Thunder attack, her sword flaring to life in her fist as she conjures up the massive bolt of electricity to try and give her teammate some breathing room.

Cera was luckily outside the radius of this attack but pretty soon she's going to have her own situation on her hands, as the egg she has been carrying since the original Shadow Pokemon arc finally begins to crack and shudder, a pair of bright blue flippers poking out of the eggshell for just a second until in a flash of light a massive Lapras is seated atop the furious Mew, burying her in 400 pounds of fleshy blubber. "Lap!" It squeaks, not seeming to notice for the moment the viscous purple aura running through its body. Unlike most Pokemon, it had been born to this Shadow state. It squeaks again, releasing a Ice Beam off towards Isaac in a playful sort of manner.

Isaac's Beldum and Aron race Tristen's Blitzle's Thunder Wave towards its target and they actually manage to make contact first, both Iron Heads connecting with a solid clang of metal on... metal? The Totem Pokemon flinch back from the blow, but it really seems like their defenses have been enhanced by the powerful Totem Energy flowing through them so they don't seem quite as phased as they should be. The Gumshoos rears up on its back legs and powerfully screeches, jabbing and pointing in an effectively fear-mongering sort of way about immigrants to their valley and how Verdant Caverns needed to come first. Its Shadow Panic seems to work very effectively on the two Steel-types, infusing them with a xenophobic panic at being labeled outsiders while the Raticate puffs up its fat cheeks and slobbers the pair with a fine mist exhaled from its mouth, the Shadow Down eroding at their rock-solid armor in time for a pack of Yungoos and Rattata, Rattata on the Aron and Yungoos on the Beldum, swarm over them gnashing and biting their weakened armor. Thank god for the Immunizers around. The pair of Shadow Balls incoming from the Bronzong take the two ringleader Pokemon by surprise and send them smashing backwards with a squeal of pain, though it was doubtful that was enough to take care of them. Jezebel wasn't getting out of the melee so easily either, as a Shadow Rattata and a Shadow Yungoos both leap for her face hissing with Shadow energy frothing from their lips.

As for Tristen's Thunder Wave it strikes home no problem, paralyzing the malcontented Magmar and freezing it before it got to really get revving up as a firestarter of epic proportions.

Stealth Rocks fill the arena with pointed detonation mines just waiting for an opponent to enter the arena... and not to disappoint Aria, one emerged soon after she deployed her defensive array. The shaking rumbling the entirety of the island stops before the ground in between the Snagems and the Ciphers puckers like a festering blister and then erupts as a massive emerald green worm forces itself out of the ground and into daylight, roaring its emergence into the battle. "Zyyyyyyy!" The fifty percent behemoth shrieks, eyes roving back and forth as the Stealth Rocks it touched detonated against its skin. It seemed to be physically offended by the presence of the Shadow Pokemon, hissing at them defiantly. it also happened to now be directly in the way of Leslie, who bounces off of it like a pinball off of the side of a flipper and back the way she came, but the intrusion is noticed by the Legendary and it launches a spray of spines at Leslie, Tristen, Aria, and Odd, unleashing a mighty Thousand Arrows towards the part of the group it thought had slighted it. Not a good time to be bouncing off of a legendary and getting caught in midair, it might seem...

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the island, a keen-eyed Sigilyph would spot an incoming group of people moving toward their location, and judging by the looks of them they were not very friendly... but there was definitely too many to even try and fend them off... maybe it should report back?
Cera would still end up jumping from the sudden crash of Thunder only yards away at best, enough to cause her to lose the hold she had on Zera. She wouldn't get a chance to notice the smile that was forming on the hybrid's face when she heard another, much more ominous sound by comparison as the egg began to hatch and her anger suddenly dissipated. "You're picking now!? Nononononono, this has to be some sort of cruel jo-" She would learn that if Arceus or any sort of "divine" being was out there, it had a really sick sense of humor. She'd see flippers emerge from the egg before a sudden darkness, finding herself sandwiched between the ground and a few hundred pounds of the newly hatched Shadow Lapras' blubber. The most anyone might see of the Mew at the moment was her tail sticking out from underneath the last thing she expected to happen. However, this didn't do a thing to answer how the heck a Lapras egg ended up in Hoenn's Route 101 before it had been quarantined off at the time, not that it mattered to Cera as her tail flicked and she tried to free herself.

"...get...off...please..." She uttered, her telepathy carrying a shocked, pained tone. The Lapras on top of her would only give a confused squeak in response, unable to comprehend the words being said, nevermind the request itself.

"Why didn't you leave that egg at home!?" Amaranth shouted, managing to stand back up and looking around to keep her eyes on the rapidly increasing number of Shadow Pokemon around them, and now seemingly another one joining the ranks. One thing would lead to another when Zygarde emerged from the ground, quickly ducking and trying to shield herself from any errant... whatever the heck that attack was. Fumbling for a way to defend herself, she'd end up sending out her shadowfied Butterfree as he shrieked and fluttered around. "Whatever, fine, you'll do, just do something!"

Unfortunately, that "something" would end up with her Butterfree scattering a cloud of Shadow Dust around the area, doing little more than rile up the already infected Pokemon if they inhaled the dust and cause varying effects otherwise. Regardless, this was like trying to put out a fire by dousing it with gasoline, if a Lapras suddenly becoming a lot rowdier and feeling like its skin was on fire was any indication.

With the Magmar now crippled, Tristen found his chance. "Blitzle, use-" The boy was immediately cut off, stumbling forward a bit from the sudden rumbling and tearing of the earth. The sudden quake even caught me and my Pokemon, my Gallade Psy, off guard.

"The hell is that!?" I shouted.

"Gallade?" Psy spoke up.

We looked over, seeing the massive beast come from the ground. "Is that Zygarde!?" Tristen shouted.

"...geez, that hive mind bull crap is no joke, isn't it?" I said to myself. Whats worse, hive mind or no, that thing doesn't look happy.

"GALLADE!" Despite the presence of a Legendary Pokemon, a target was a target all the same to these Shadow Pokemon which started to gang up on Psy.

"Blast it, please tell me that Immunizer is doing its job...Psy, Psycho Cut!" I shouted. The Gallade shook off a couple of Yungoos then unleashed a powerful psychic wave upon the group, making them scatter. My instincts tripped then looked back towards Zygarde once more, my eyes widening when it unleashed its attack. "What the hell is that attack!?"

The arrow like projectiles shot off and started to come down, reminding me of stories of Spartans and their opposition. The problem is...there's no Spartans here. And their target... "No...TRISTEN!" Tristen himself saw the attack coming, the boy's eyes widening as the arrows started to come down. The boy started to run for it as hard as he could, but before I could rush to the rescue, the arrows crashed down on the area, kicking up dirt everywhere. "TRISTEN!" I shouted. The Blizle whined out afterwards, not able to see what happened to its trainer.

I had enough of this...there are too many shadow Pokemon, two of which were already augmented somehow, and now the legendary Pokemon. We need to clear the field. "Froslass!" I shouted. I tossed out another Pokemon out for battle.

In a flash of light, the Froslass emerged from the ball, giving out a ghastly wail upon revealing itself.

"Froslass! Blizzard!" I shouted.

"LAAAAASSS!" The Froslass shouted, unleashing its mighty Blizzard upon the Shadow Pokemon in the immediate area of Psy and I. We needed to get to that Zygarde.

"Cadenza! Guard!" Odd shouted as Kess's attack was loosed upon the local area, throwing the Shedinja's ball towards Lykas. Channeling his own energy into the Shedinja, his Wonder Guard aura expanded rapidly, a halo of silver light along it's edge to show where it had reached. The aura barely managed to cover the three hybrids the Thunder was aimed to charbroil but it should, thanks to Odd's contribution to it's source, weather the storm. And it was a very good thing Crystal had her Immunizer active because Odd didn't have one yet.

Unfortunately for the channeler, having his most defensive Pokemon protecting his friends left him quite open when the Great Wyrm, Zygarde appeared. "Oh s**t." He yelped, unable to say much else. Then again, this incident did manage to make him swear. That should be a good enough sign that he was screwed and he knew it. What else was there to say at the moment?

He didn't have a clue because one of his oldest allies chose now to make a return to the battlefield. Replay the Chatot burst from his Pokeball unheeded, wings ablaze with a reflective energy, attempting to return fire and negate Zygarde's attack with a weaker Thousand Arrows of his own, born of mirrored-energy feathers flying through the air. Weather or not it worked was anyone's guess at this point because Odd could only managed to gawk at the tiny, winged would-be hero now perched upon his head.

Arkelos gritted his teeth, "This is not good. Cera is trapped under the lapras, Those three just took a direct attack, with that butterfree spreading the virus ever more now; this doesnt look good." Arkelos turns to see Jezebel about to be attacked by the two shadow pokemon "Abra, use --!" Just before he finished saying the move, he see's Jezebel's vulpix break out of her pokeball to use protect itself. he continued to scream. "Jezebel, get out of the way!"

--------------------------

Jezebel turned around to see the two pokemon in mid attack. She let's out a scream that pierced the sound of everything going on. Too her Vulpix jumping ahead of her, to use protect just in time to block the attack.

------------------------

"Abra, stay strong of this; Follow my words. Use telekinesis on that Lapras and move it off Cera, move her to safety. Than teleport Odd's group farther back to our position out of range of that Monstrous Pokemon. Follow that up with a round attack; Hold it for as long as you can. Allllright everyone come out and use HOWL!" Cried with a concern.

All of 5 pokemon Canine came out of the field, Gowlithe, Furfrou, Poochyena, Rockruff, Houndour, and started a howl that joined Abra's weakened Round attack.

Leslie would do her best to maneuver herself in midair, latching two vines onto a few rocks and attempting to yank herself out of the firing path of the Thousand Arrows. What resulted s that instead of being blown back into the wall, she instead turned into the world's sturdiest pinata as she got smacked around by the flurry of blasts. It would seem her efforts to be evasive were going even worse than her attack attempt.

Aria would stare at the wave of projectiles streaming towards her and the other two Snagems near her. Looking over to where Carbuncle was, she'd order a quick, "Reflect!" as she moved the Carbink in front of her, Tristan, and Odd. Hopefully this would be enough to put off the majority of injuries from the Thounsand Arrows attack.

Finally, Reno would focus on what he knew he needed to stop now. The others had numbers and skill enough to tangle with Zygarde, the Totem Pokemon, and the two Cipher leaders. That left him to halt the other major cause for disaster: the newly minted Shadow Rattatas and Yungoos. Popping open the two Pokeballs in his hand, he would look at the Cloyster and Volcarona beside him. "Now then. Lets corral the vermin." Reno commanded, taking up position behind Tesei as Nova unleashed a Hurricane towards the Ungoos, and Rattatas. He banked on the two swarmed POkemon being heavy enough as Steel types to keep on the ground while their furry friends would be ripped off. Waiting for his targets to appear, Reno would begin to aim and fire a rapid fire Spike Cannon that he directed to each target as they came swirling by in the Hurricane. He really hoped that this worked as well further along.

---

Beau would twist in midair, reorienting his wings to try and desperately lift off further than the few feet he usually managed. Evnetually, Beau would give up this keeping up with Darts and simply grab onto the tail of the hybrid's coat to give him a little extra boost. "So we are going to where that Earthquake was, right? What makes us think that it was something besides a natural event?" A shining beam of electricity would answer the question. "Well, okay. Time to get to it then."

Crystal would brace for impact when she saw the Thunder attack aim at her, only to have it be blocked by Odd and his Shedinja. “I... huh?”

‘Oi, furball number two! There’s a legendary serpent thing, two creatures that have two different, almost conflicting auras, and then-’

‘Miss Crystal, I hate to tell you this, but you have yet more people incoming,’ Kairos would report, sending his thoughts straight to his trainer, ‘Their appearance seems to match that of the ones in Kalos, I believe, and one seems to match that of the traitor woman.’

“Kuso! Are you sure, Kairos,” Crystal shouted, not realizing that she was shouting as well as talking to her Sigilyph.

‘Yes, Miss Crystal. Also, I believe the one that is your organization’s leader is nearby, as well.’

“Well, that’s one thing… Get back here, Kairos, now!”

‘Yes, Miss Crystal.’

‘You know you were shouting, right,’ her Espeon asked, looking annoyed at her interruption.

“Not now, Apolla, we have more incoming! And Kairos says that they look like Flare headed by that Aile woman, guys!” Her ears laid flat on her head as she looked around, noting how closed the area was. “We might want to try and finish some of these up fast! Apolla, use Psychic on the large creature that isn’t a Raticate variant! Donne, Flash Cannon on the black Raticate!” the two would comply, her Espeon sending out a psychic blast at the Gumshoos, while Bronzor charged up a ball of steel energy in front of it before sending it out as a beam at the Alolan Raticate.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Said woman would be nodding as she watched her Greninja sign things to her, arms crossed. “Right, so this place is full of unfamiliar Pokemon and rarely seen Pokemon… But-” The lightning storm in the sky would cut off the woman, a worried look appearing on her face.
“Madam, do you know what that might be,” one of the members of her entourage would as her, causing the woman to turn away from the sky’s light show. She looked at the group behind her, which consisted of a lot of Flare grunts, before returning her gaze to the one in front of her. She sighed before shaking her head.
“Not a hundred percent sure, but it can only be trouble.” The leader turned her gaze back to the area and nodded. “That’s where all the data told us we’re going, though, and Kayvaan’s also confirmed that there are hostiles there, and not all of them are Snagem. Be prepared.” She looked at her own outfit she was wearing, or rather the high tech suit she was wearing. All black except for orange shoulders, it was pretty skin tight and made her feel awkward for a number of reasons. It was at least well equipped with things she would probably use, having a few throwing knives attacked at various places as well as a few pockets holding other items. She pulled a part of the suit on her arm away from her momentarily before letting it spring back into place, shaking her head. Picking up the black and orange helmet from next to her feet, she sighed once more before looking at her black Greninja. “Merci, Kayvaan. And everyone, keep your Pokéballs at the ready, keep your eyes peeled, and just be careful. I don’t want to see any serious injuries from anyone here.” She’d put on the helmet and take a deep breath before leading her group towards the Verdant Cavern, the barely translucent (at least on the outside looking in) visor on the helmet hiding her growing nerves well enough.
"Damn," Isaac muttered as he retrieved two more Pokeballs, intent on providing backup for Kardan and Angron, when motion out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. As the newly hatched Lapras burst forth from the eggshell seemingly far too small to contain a Pokemon of that size, he was stuck speechless by the impossible spectacle. "...how," was the only word he could find for a moment before he noticed the newborn Pokemon's shadow-tainted skin tone, upon which fearful realization replaced incredulity. "Oh s**t," he muttered as he quickly opened up a Pokeball as the wailing Lapras turned towards him, mouth agape. "Light Screen!" Isaac blurted desperately at his emerging Magnemite, as a focused stream of frozen chi streaked towards him. On instinct, Icaas braced himself for an impact that never landed, the ice chi scattering upon impact with Ferrus' projected chi barrier. "Okay, that's enough of that," Isaac declared, straightening up and pointing towards the offending Lapras. "Ferrus, take care of this distraction. Blast it with Thunderbolts until it doesn't move."
As his Magnemite loosed crackling bolts of electric chi, Isaac returned his attention to the other battle. Drawing in a deep breath, he bellowed his next commands, being sure that his Beldum and Aron would hear them. "Kardan! Angron! Break out of there! Iron Head and Bulldoze!" For the barest instant, he was worried that neither Pokemon would be able to respond, before hiss fears were allayed by his Beldum bursting forth from under the pile of infected Yungoos, sending several of the infected rodents sprawling backwards from the forceful impact. As the iron ball Pokemon swooped around to rejoin its trainer, a spray of earth heralded Angron's attack, his relentless charge smashing away the impeding Rattata, as he too rejoined Isaac.
"Good job," Isaac praised his Pokemon, giving each of them a quick head rub, before tossing another Pokeball in front of him. From prior experience with the shadow infection, he knew that his infected Clawitzer would respond best to simple and direct commands, so he simply pointed at the throng of infected rodents and calmly ordered, "Open fire." The howitzer Pokemon responded with predicted cold efficiency, its Mega Launcher claw lobbing Water Pulse after Water Pulse at the indicated targets, aquatic chi bursting among the target rich environment. Isaac watched the first blasts land, before turning back to his Beldum and Aron, taking a pair of potions out of his lab coat as he approached the pair of wounded Pokemon. From the looks of the chaos erupting around him, they were in it for the long haul, and he was going to need all of his Pokemon in fighting shape if they were going to stand a chance of getting through this latest mess.
From the looks of the chaos erupting around him, they were in it for the long haul, and he was going to need all of his Pokemon in fighting shape if they were going to stand a chance of getting through this latest mess.
To most everyone's good fortune, Lapras wasn't anywhere near a point to take much of a hit. Just one of the Thunderbolts was enough to put it out of commission, stopping any rampage it might've been able to do. Aside from that attack, at least it wouldn't be harming itself or anyone around it. Cera wouldn't be quite so thrilled that the blubbery Pokemon on top of her was now dead weight for the moment.
"Okay, yeah, now it's not moving. That works. But, yanno, being underneath this isn't very conducive to stuff like living or breathing... also, kinda struggling to levitate it..." Cera remarked.
Leslie would do her best to maneuver herself in midair, latching two vines onto a few rocks and attempting to yank herself out of the firing path of the Thousand Arrows. What resulted s that instead of being blown back into the wall, she instead turned into the world's sturdiest pinata as she got smacked around by the flurry of blasts. It would seem her efforts to be evasive were going even worse than her attack attempt.
Aria would stare at the wave of projectiles streaming towards her and the other two Snagems near her. Looking over to where Carbuncle was, she'd order a quick, "Reflect!" as she moved the Carbink in front of her, Tristan, and Odd. Hopefully this would be enough to put off the majority of injuries from the Thounsand Arrows attack.
Requiem of Whyspers
"Cadenza! Guard!" Odd shouted as Kess's attack was loosed upon the local area, throwing the Shedinja's ball towards Lykas. Channeling his own energy into the Shedinja, his Wonder Guard aura expanded rapidly, a halo of silver light along it's edge to show where it had reached. The aura barely managed to cover the three hybrids the Thunder was aimed to charbroil but it should, thanks to Odd's contribution to it's source, weather the storm. And it was a very good thing Crystal had her Immunizer active because Odd didn't have one yet.
Unfortunately for the channeler, having his most defensive Pokemon protecting his friends left him quite open when the Great Wyrm, Zygarde appeared. "Oh s**t." He yelped, unable to say much else. Then again, this incident did manage to make him swear. That should be a good enough sign that he was screwed and he knew it. What else was there to say at the moment?
He didn't have a clue because one of his oldest allies chose now to make a return to the battlefield. Replay the Chatot burst from his Pokeball unheeded, wings ablaze with a reflective energy, attempting to return fire and negate Zygarde's attack with a weaker Thousand Arrows of his own, born of mirrored-energy feathers flying through the air. Weather or not it worked was anyone's guess at this point because Odd could only managed to gawk at the tiny, winged would-be hero now perched upon his head.
Aria and Odd's combined efforts would manage to blunt the hail of spines incoming towards the group, as well as negating Kess' massive Thunder, but a few spines would be still coming in for impact until Odd's Chatot played hero, the smaller Thousand Arrows taking care of the much reduced flurry of quivers coming their way easily as well as causing several barbed points to make their way back home on the Zygarde's skin. The wyrm worm releases a howl of pain into the sky as it shifts backwards uncertainly, Coiling inwards on itself defensively as it tries to take into account the new barrage of offending moves it snorts out a Dragon Pulse, flinging a barrage of azure draco energy towards Aria, Odd, and the now-prone Leslie to try and get them off its case. The little Cell, feeling lonely, wriggles its way off of the pillar and crawls across the ground to join the seething mass of its brothers, Zac somewhere included in the shuffle.
Blizzard120
With the Magmar now crippled, Tristen found his chance. "Blitzle, use-" The boy was immediately cut off, stumbling forward a bit from the sudden rumbling and tearing of the earth. The sudden quake even caught me and my Pokemon, my Gallade Psy, off guard.
"The hell is that!?" I shouted.
"Gallade?" Psy spoke up.
We looked over, seeing the massive beast come from the ground. "Is that Zygarde!?" Tristen shouted.
"...geez, that hive mind bull crap is no joke, isn't it?" I said to myself. Whats worse, hive mind or no, that thing doesn't look happy.
"GALLADE!" Despite the presence of a Legendary Pokemon, a target was a target all the same to these Shadow Pokemon which started to gang up on Psy.
"Blast it, please tell me that Immunizer is doing its job...Psy, Psycho Cut!" I shouted. The Gallade shook off a couple of Yungoos then unleashed a powerful psychic wave upon the group, making them scatter. My instincts tripped then looked back towards Zygarde once more, my eyes widening when it unleashed its attack. "What the hell is that attack!?"
The arrow like projectiles shot off and started to come down, reminding me of stories of Spartans and their opposition. The problem is...there's no Spartans here. And their target... "No...TRISTEN!" Tristen himself saw the attack coming, the boy's eyes widening as the arrows started to come down. The boy started to run for it as hard as he could, but before I could rush to the rescue, the arrows crashed down on the area, kicking up dirt everywhere. "TRISTEN!" I shouted. The Blizle whined out afterwards, not able to see what happened to its trainer.
I had enough of this...there are too many shadow Pokemon, two of which were already augmented somehow, and now the legendary Pokemon. We need to clear the field. "Froslass!" I shouted. I tossed out another Pokemon out for battle.
In a flash of light, the Froslass emerged from the ball, giving out a ghastly wail upon revealing itself.
"Froslass! Blizzard!" I shouted.
"LAAAAASSS!" The Froslass shouted, unleashing its mighty Blizzard upon the Shadow Pokemon in the immediate area of Psy and I. We needed to get to that Zygarde.
Isaac Hawking
As his Magnemite loosed crackling bolts of electric chi, Isaac returned his attention to the other battle. Drawing in a deep breath, he bellowed his next commands, being sure that his Beldum and Aron would hear them. "Kardan! Angron! Break out of there! Iron Head and Bulldoze!" For the barest instant, he was worried that neither Pokemon would be able to respond, before hiss fears were allayed by his Beldum bursting forth from under the pile of infected Yungoos, sending several of the infected rodents sprawling backwards from the forceful impact. As the iron ball Pokemon swooped around to rejoin its trainer, a spray of earth heralded Angron's attack, his relentless charge smashing away the impeding Rattata, as he too rejoined Isaac.
"Good job," Isaac praised his Pokemon, giving each of them a quick head rub, before tossing another Pokeball in front of him. From prior experience with the shadow infection, he knew that his infected Clawitzer would respond best to simple and direct commands, so he simply pointed at the throng of infected rodents and calmly ordered, "Open fire." The howitzer Pokemon responded with predicted cold efficiency, its Mega Launcher claw lobbing Water Pulse after Water Pulse at the indicated targets, aquatic chi bursting among the target rich environment. Isaac watched the first blasts land, before turning back to his Beldum and Aron, taking a pair of potions out of his lab coat as he approached the pair of wounded Pokemon. From the looks of the chaos erupting around him, they were in it for the long haul, and he was going to need all of his Pokemon in fighting shape if they were going to stand a chance of getting through this latest mess.
Arkelos
"Abra, stay strong of this; Follow my words. Use telekinesis on that Lapras and move it off Cera, move her to safety. Than teleport Odd's group farther back to our position out of range of that Monstrous Pokemon. Follow that up with a round attack; Hold it for as long as you can. Allllright everyone come out and use HOWL!" Cried with a concern.
All of 5 pokemon Canine came out of the field, Gowlithe, Furfrou, Poochyena, Rockruff, Houndour, and started a howl that joined Abra's weakened Round attack.
The rapidly expanding mass of Shadow Rattata and Shadow Yungoos are about to get thinned out a bit as the Froslass' Blizzard and Clawitzer's Water Pulse begins picking them off in little batches of two or three at a time, sending icicle-ridden and water-logged vermin to the ground in batches of a handful or so at a time. True to Shadow Pokemon form however, the infected Pokemon continue clawing and scratching their way forwards until they run into something completely unexpected, a massive Round that projected around and around the circle of six Pokemon, building in intensity and strength until the massive soundwave erupts outwards from the Abra, releasing an attack of hither-to unseen proportions with a massive bang of sound to surpass even the heaviest of heavy metal concerts, mowing down the weakened Rattata and Yungoos in a swathe out in front of the group taking on the Shadow Totem's minions. Even though Lykas' attack single handedly had swatted away a good half of the mass of Shadow Pokemon now facing them...
Reno Vantas
Finally, Reno would focus on what he knew he needed to stop now. The others had numbers and skill enough to tangle with Zygarde, the Totem Pokemon, and the two Cipher leaders. That left him to halt the other major cause for disaster: the newly minted Shadow Rattatas and Yungoos. Popping open the two Pokeballs in his hand, he would look at the Cloyster and Volcarona beside him. "Now then. Lets corral the vermin." Reno commanded, taking up position behind Tesei as Nova unleashed a Hurricane towards the Ungoos, and Rattatas. He banked on the two swarmed POkemon being heavy enough as Steel types to keep on the ground while their furry friends would be ripped off. Waiting for his targets to appear, Reno would begin to aim and fire a rapid fire Spike Cannon that he directed to each target as they came swirling by in the Hurricane. He really hoped that this worked as well further along.
Reno begins making headway towards the pack of rapidly multiplying vermin, sweeping another group of Pokemon into the air with his Hurricane and piercing quite a few of them with Spike Cannon but it wasn't really taking care of things fast enough until...
It's been a bit since the mood has been set...
There's a half-roar half-meow that emits through the arena, though nowhere near as loudly as that savage Round from just a moment ago... A cocky looking cat with what appears to be a championship belt strapped into its waist falls onto the ground with a 'flump' as a 'mysterious' shirtless individual with a red and aqua colored mask leaps into the fray, slapping Reno's hand as he passes him. "Give me the hot tag partner!" He shouts, in a grunting sort of way, as he points a hand towards the rotating hurricane, a brilliant energy springing to light on his wrist as he strikes an odd looking pose. "Malicious Moonsault, Incineroar!" The fire-type now identified as Incineroar leaps into the air charged with a savage-looking aura. He spins a couple times in a very-misnomered 450 degree splash motion before landing inside the rapidly spinning Hurricane and igniting the moving oxygen. This creates a fiery tornado of destruction that rips open a hole in the expanding army of Shadows just long enough for...
Espeon_Commander
“Not now, Apolla, we have more incoming! And Kairos says that they look like Flare headed by that Aile woman, guys!” Her ears laid flat on her head as she looked around, noting how closed the area was. “We might want to try and finish some of these up fast! Apolla, use Psychic on the large creature that isn’t a Raticate variant! Donne, Flash Cannon on the black Raticate!” the two would comply, her Espeon sending out a psychic blast at the Gumshoos, while Bronzor charged up a ball of steel energy in front of it before sending it out as a beam at the Alolan Raticate.
A Bronzor and Espeon combination of attacks to punch through to the pair of Totems again, but the Raticate, showing an uncanny batch of smartness for its breed, leaps its fat pair of cheeks in the way to block the Psychic attack with its Dark-typing before the Gumshoos behind it begins digging at a hyper rapid pace, using a Mud-Slap to slow down the Flash Cannon, the judicious mud slinging winning the battle as effectively as a person slandering their political opponent in a hotly contested race with biased pollsters, slowing the projectile to half speed as it crashes into the Raticate but not at the impact speed desired. It was going to take a all-out assault on these two to make a dent it seemed... For a half a moment it looked like the spread of the Virus was going to make another horde of furry miscreants... when an odd sort of Misty looking Terrain began spreading across the newly-summoned Rattata and Yungoos, halting the progress of the virus to any new Pokemon. A kind of universal Immunizer for the area if you will.
It also put a stop to Amaranth's Butterfree's shenanigans in a hurry. As it spreads across the turf underneath Cera who was currently beneath the Lapras, she would hear a chorus of voices in her head...
This should keep things under control... A calming, radiant sounding voice said.
Yow! Things are getting pretty wild in here huh? It's been a while since we've had to step in! Sizzled a second, wild-sounding one.
Mmmm... such a thing is... interfering with the natural circle of life... Intoned a third, deep baritone sounding voice.
I think the real question is what is this one doing here underneath all this fat... Snipes the fourth, in a haughty sort of tone. Didn't know they made legends as useless as this outside our islands... Clearly this last comment was being directed at the rather squished Mew beneath her cheery new Lapras.
Espeon_Commander
Said woman would be nodding as she watched her Greninja sign things to her, arms crossed. “Right, so this place is full of unfamiliar Pokemon and rarely seen Pokemon… But-” The lightning storm in the sky would cut off the woman, a worried look appearing on her face.
“Madam, do you know what that might be,” one of the members of her entourage would as her, causing the woman to turn away from the sky’s light show. She looked at the group behind her, which consisted of a lot of Flare grunts, before returning her gaze to the one in front of her. She sighed before shaking her head.
“Not a hundred percent sure, but it can only be trouble.” The leader turned her gaze back to the area and nodded. “That’s where all the data told us we’re going, though, and Kayvaan’s also confirmed that there are hostiles there, and not all of them are Snagem. Be prepared.” She looked at her own outfit she was wearing, or rather the high tech suit she was wearing. All black except for orange shoulders, it was pretty skin tight and made her feel awkward for a number of reasons. It was at least well equipped with things she would probably use, having a few throwing knives attacked at various places as well as a few pockets holding other items. She pulled a part of the suit on her arm away from her momentarily before letting it spring back into place, shaking her head. Picking up the black and orange helmet from next to her feet, she sighed once more before looking at her black Greninja. “Merci, Kayvaan. And everyone, keep your Pokéballs at the ready, keep your eyes peeled, and just be careful. I don’t want to see any serious injuries from anyone here.” She’d put on the helmet and take a deep breath before leading her group towards the Verdant Cavern, the barely translucent (at least on the outside looking in) visor on the helmet hiding her growing nerves well enough.
The Snagems who were working their way through the Shadow Pokemon and facing off against Zygarde would soon find a horde of classy-looking Flare grunts with sunglasses as well as a very familiar looking face in a form-fitting black and orange Expansion Suit blocking their way back into the Verdant Cavern.
"Hey!" One of the grunts shouts, before the lot of them release a combination horde of Zubat, Swalot, and Mighteyena. "Get away from our Zygarde!"
The Grunt in question would all of a sudden find himself on the ground wheezing for air as a result of a sudden puff of poisonous gas directly to his face. It looked like Zera had regained her composure after being directly assaulted from the Snagems. "Who are you guys supposed to be?!" She demands, clearly still a little unhinged from the attack earlier. "Just a bunch of near and or far sighted wanna-bees from the looks of it!" she shouts, releasing her newly-caught Grimer.
Kess has a Pokeball too, launching her Electabuzz into the fray, neither of whom appeared to be Shadow as they squared off with the group of Flare Grunts. Kess for her part however snaps out a single arm, launching a resounding Thunderbolt towards Aile. "Weren't you on their side last time little missy?" She shouts, cocking her head towards the battling Snagems.
All of a sudden, Zera moves Kess' arm out of position, sending the electricity snapping off as it obliterates one of the Flare grunts nearby, causing him to do his best Wilhelm scream impression. "Zera what the..." She stops at the look in her partner's eye.
"I remember this one, the little turncoat is mine..." Zera hisses, pointing towards Aile. "Sludge Bomb!" The Grimer hefts a load of toxic goop from its insides before launching the group as a volley towards Aile's shiny new suit, intent on melting it.
"Ngh... gettem boys!" One of the Flare Grunts shouts and half of the gang charges the Snagems from behind while the other half charges the Ciphers. Not exactly the friendliest bunch are they... ?
Beau would twist in midair, reorienting his wings to try and desperately lift off further than the few feet he usually managed. Evnetually, Beau would give up this keeping up with Darts and simply grab onto the tail of the hybrid's coat to give him a little extra boost. "So we are going to where that Earthquake was, right? What makes us think that it was something besides a natural event?" A shining beam of electricity would answer the question. "Well, okay. Time to get to it then."
"Hey! Stop..." Darts' sentence as well as himself and Beau would abruptly cut off as the pair of them, thrown off by the Vivillon hybrid's attempt to 'help' begin careening out of control. "I only know how to fly by myse-" another sentence gets cut off as they pick up velocity, crashing down into...
SubonicXP
After five minutes of running and leaping over fallen trees the cave entrance would be in view, however Sub would be delayed just a little more as a strange creature came running away from the cave and up to Sub.
"Rat rat rat!" The tiny black rodent cried as it stood up on its hind legs, frantically pointing towards the cave.
"Is that a Rattata?" Sub mused aloud, temporarily forgetting about the more important matters he must tend to.
"Rattata rat ta ta!" The Rattata continued on.
"Native subspecies of Rattata, it has developed a partial Dark typing and by nature are fiercely loyal followers of their bosses." GRAY spoke up. Wait, did GRAY have information on this region the entire time and just didn't tell Sub? He'll deal with that later.
"Must see me as a fellow Dark type then. Alright, what's wrong boy? Show me." He told the Rattata. The mouse Pokemon would surprisingly understand the man and immediately race off back towards the cave, looking back every now and then to see if the fellow 'Dark type' was following him, and he was. Soon Sub would enter Verdant Cavern and see what was going on.
The unlikeliest landing pad of all time, as they both careen into their fearless leader, the one the only Sub. The three of them land in a tangled heap inside of the Verdant Cavern only to find it occupied... by the other half of Aile's battalion of Flare Grunts.
"Hey... what are you..." One of them asks, as the three of them left in here surround the trio of Snagems.
Darts shakes his head back and forth to try and clear the cobwebs from the immensely gross food he had just gotten in his mouth. "Am I hallucinating or did we land back in Kalos...?" He groans, looking back at Sub and Beau as the Flares who didn't immediately charge in, probably the weaker more cowardly ones goggle at the two prone hybrids and the human.
Extremelictor
Quickly the girl threw the crap off of her onto the floor forcing her pokemon to dance away from the awful odor. Thinking to herself she was going to make that Butterfly... moth?... THING Pay!
Speaking of paying, the fishmonger holds out an expectant hand. "Food good? You pay!" He was clearly not budging on this idea of making someone pay for his smorgasbord.
The rapidly expanding mass of Shadow Rattata and Shadow Yungoos are about to get thinned out a bit as the Froslass' Blizzard and Clawitzer's Water Pulse begins picking them off in little batches of two or three at a time, sending icicle-ridden and water-logged vermin to the ground in batches of a handful or so at a time. True to Shadow Pokemon form however, the infected Pokemon continue clawing and scratching their way forwards until they run into something completely unexpected, a massive Round that projected around and around the circle of six Pokemon, building in intensity and strength until the massive soundwave erupts outwards from the Abra, releasing an attack of hither-to unseen proportions with a massive bang of sound to surpass even the heaviest of heavy metal concerts, mowing down the weakened Rattata and Yungoos in a swathe out in front of the group taking on the Shadow Totem's minions. Even though Lykas' attack single handedly had swatted away a good half of the mass of Shadow Pokemon now facing them...
Seeing the blast radius of the round attack Arkelos turns his attention to the care of his pokemon. "ABRA!" He screamed kneeling down next to the pokemon. "Thank you Abra, you did outstanding. Please rest up, i'll let you get a nice long rest, you have earned it." Turning to all his canines that are joining them Arkelos comforts them as well. "You all did an outstanding job. When we get home i'm going to have Jezebel fix yall up a special meal, for all yall's hard work."
Arkelos returned all the pokemon back to their pokeballs. Standing up he runs over to Jezebel to check on her. "Jezebel are you oka----eeeyyy; What happend to you?"
---------
Jezebel and Vulpix were lying on the ground covered in dirt and dust. Standing up her outfit was stained with mud, her red hair is now a dark Amber color. It's frizzy with mud, a few small sticks, and leaves.
She turns around to see Arkelos running up to her. "Do you REALLY have to ask? I was almost mauled by two rodents that i feel should be in a theme park. I'm cover in mud, my outfit is ruined, and -- Oh, OH NO! VULPIX!" Quickly surveying the area she finds vulpix to what seem to be crying in a puddle of mud with it's tails are muddy and messy. There is not a drop of orange color on her. "Oh, you poor thing." She sat down next to the still young vulpix. "You hate your fur being all messy. Tell you want i'll wipe off what i can, than when we get to the next pokemon center; i'll get you fixed up good." The Vulpix has a happier face and even spits out a few embers. "Thank you for saving me, you really did a great job." The Vulpix jumps from her lap to the new turn of events.
----------
Arkelos and Jezebel both stand there as the Team Flare members show up. "Oh lord not these goons again." Arkelos said with disdain. "What do you fools what? Beside the overly massive pokemon that stands there between us and those two." Jezebel wipes what dirt and mud from herself and vulpix. "Who are those guys? I've heard of a group that ran around Kalos causing trouble. Never encounter them before though." Arkelos turned his head to Jezebel. "They're trouble makers in Kalos last i remember. What they are doing here i have the slightest clue."
And it just hit the fan. What in the world was going on now?! This was total chaos! Lykas, though as he hugged Cadenza. "Thanks for that." He told the Ghost type before racing towards the Flare grunts. Cipher could be put on hold for the moment, as far as he was concerned. Especially since Flare were the ones trying to get their hands on a legendary Pokemon at the moment. Rushing towards the Flare grunts, he tossed out a Pokeball, releasing his Quilava. "Boomscreen!" He ordered. Lux knew that move all too well and let a sadistic grin spread across his face as he charged Fire energy into his mouth. Inhaling deeply and letting out a billowing cloud of black smoke, he grew ever more excited as the cloud expanded. He would hold it as long as he could manage before he simply had to stop and breath again.
"And boom." Lykas stated with his own grin as Lux stopped exhaling smoke. In that instant, the fire energy in the smoke ignited. Small explosions like fireworks littered the smokescreen, blasting anything and everything in range with searing embers. Recalling Lux after his attack was done, Lykas looked to the other group of Flares who'd been missed by hiding behind them. "I see you!" He shouted before charging a large orb of Water before his forehead jewel only to release it all in a powerful geyser via his Waterspout attack. Since he still had most of his energy, it was fairly powerful, too. Sweeping it across the group, he aimed to wash them away.
Odd recalled Cadenza at this point, wanting him to stay safe from infection. At least, he started to. Just as he pulled out the Shedinja's Premier Ball, he found himself in a different location, though still panting heavily. "Huh?" With little time to think about it, he readjusted his aim and recalled Cadenza for real this time. Stowing the Premier Ball, he took out an old fashioned Pokeball and recalled Replay, who was now perched on his head, he noticed. Returning that ball to his belt as well, he took a different Pokeball off his belt and released Entr'Acte. "You want Shadow Pokemon? I'll show you Shadow Pokemon!" He exclaimed, both hands on the blade's handle. His hands flashed black as he attempted to channel energy and use one of his moves but the black light fizzled away instantly. "You can't channel?!" He asked the sword Pokemon This was a first. He hadn't attempted to channel through Entr'Acte before so it had never occurred to him that the Shadow Virus could hinder such a bond.
"Fine. Aerial Ace!" He commanded the sword as he charged forward and leaped. Entr'Acte filled himself with Flying energy and, with it, allowed Odd to jump with him as he flew towards the Totem Pokemon, aiming to strike at Gumshoos. When the duo landed, Odd let go of Entr'Acte's handle, though grabbed his ribbon to keep him from getting far away, yanking him back after his attack. "Good job. Now, before they fight back, Autotomize!" The channeler ordered. In order to speed up his offense, Entr'Acte ditched his sheath, dropping it into Odd's empty left hand, whereupon, the Channeler stowed it into his partially open backpack, leaving only the top six inches or two exposed to the open air, before returning said hand to he Pokemon's handle.
I groaned as I slowly rose to my feet, my head feeling as though it had been smothered by something from the inside. For a moment, I felt like my entire body was being smothered, but I quickly realized that it was just Keiko hugging me. Seeing Rala nearby helped me to realize what had happened. My ghost-energy-induced headache had acted up again.
"I'm fine," I said when Keiko tried to stop me from standing up completely. "My head's back to normal for now."
I appreciated the fact that she cared about my well-being, but there was work that needed to be done. With that thought in mind, I turned to look at the battlefield and holy crap, had a lot started happening all at once! The Totem Pokemon had been shadowified (I saw the immunizers before I saw the shadowed totems), and we had to deal with both Cipher AND Flare. Seriously, when'd the latter show up? This wasn't Kalos.
Keiko was talking about me stepping out of the cavern to switch into my Sir Dynamite costume before entering the battlefield, but I stopped her. "They saw my face when I unraveled their plans to take over the Kalosian government. They know who I am. There's no point in using that costume," I told her. Seriously, why hadn't I remembered that before? Would have saved myself a lot of work.
"I'm fine," I told Keiko, who kept asking if I should be fighting in my condition. "These headaches have been few and far between lately. Besides, I have a bone to pick with Flare. Are you okay with helping quell the Shadow Pokemon? There are two different immunizers up, so none of your team should get infected."
"I... I can do that. Just..." she tried to say.
"I'll be careful," I reassured her. "Not going to let Cipher have their way with my team a second time," I joked, though I was seriously on edge with two known Cipher units being involved in this mess of a battle.
I walked toward Flare, while Keiko headed toward the Shadowed Totems. Rala stayed by my side in case my headache flared up again, but it was Sparrow I chose to battle the Flares that had charged the other Snagems with. "Use Agility, Sparrow," I said, hoping to get her speed up before she had to fight.
Keiko let Hera out of her ball once she was safely within an immunizer's range. "Megahorn, Hera!" Keiko shouted. Hera's horn glowed with Bug-type energy before she charged, running on a collision course to Shadow Yungoos, her horn held low so that it'd be the first thing to come into contact with the Totem Pokemon.
Aria would pant as she saw the arrows dying off against the impromptu shield that her and Odd had forged for themselves. Well, now that they weren't on the defense they could try and calm down the Zygarde. Turning towards Odd, Aria....watched as he dashed off to an entirely different part of the battlefield and abandoning her. "Damnit!" Aria shouted after the channeler before a strange purple glow popped up in the corner of her vision. Turning towards where she had left the Zygarde, she saw a swarm of Dragon Pulses streaking towards her. Well, she had about one option. "Carbuncle. Dazzling Gleam!" She shouted, diving towards the Fairy type Pokemon to take cover. While she hoped the Dazzling Gleam would burn out the Pulses, she didn't want to take chances that they'd get through.
Leslie would finally feel herself settling down from the rapid fire impacts of the Thousand Arrows, taking a moment to breath deeply before dropping herself to the ground and taking care of Zac herself. She got as far as the breathing before she saw a strange purple glow. Twisting herself around, she stared at the Dragon Pulses heading her way before attempting to scramble her way out of her predicament. Successfully getting herself at least swinging to avoid the things, the hybrid found herself focusing on another bright bit of pink light. Next thing she knew, she was blasted full force by the Dazzling Gleam that knocked her out of her swing and instead thrust her out towards the pulses to be blasted again. "Zac! Cut this blasting us to hell stuff out and listen! Damned ungrateful little piece of jello!" Leslie swore, continuing her best imitation of a pinata as she did so.
Reno felt genuinely awed when he watched the Incineroar dive into and ignite the Hurricane that had been produced by Nova. While the slap had caught his attention, it was truly this moment that made him instantly respect whoever this man was. However, he was still technically in command here and he needed to take charge. Quickly readjusting his aim, Reno began to direct Tesei as he fired a barrage of Icicle Spears to take care of the other Shadow Pokemon that were still running around and provide some moisture for the inevitable fire fighting effort to come. "So, nice of you to show up. Care to give me a name?" Reno asked the strange luchador, glancing at him as he continued with his efforts to skeet shoot small rodents. Nova would be still as she stared into the awe-inspiring fire tornado, drinking in the energy and size of such an event with the best approximation of a giddy grin that the moth's face could manage.
Beau would protest Darts' efforts to make him let go of the coat. "Damnit no. I need some help staying in the air!" Unaware of the impending crash landing, Beau would continue to scramble for grip before he managed to become entangled inside the piece of clothing and cover his head. With the impact, a few puffs of powder would erupt from each slam into the ground before they eventually came to a stop and Beau had managed to untangle from the coat. Just in time to stare at the Flare grunts in front of them. "Darts, does your coat time travel? Because I feel like we just jumped back a few years here." Beau asked, slowly getting himself onto his feet. "And we picked up a third time traveller when we did so. Welcome to the past, Sub."
