Jesse Randall ~ Leaving Fiona and Jesse's Room for the Shifter Classroom ~
Jesse's face lit up as Ven and then Gin made their entrance into the Shifter Class - although the pair often radiated quite different auras, the Fennec Child always gave them her sweetest smile - being fellow shifters she saw them as a sort of family, even though they were all very different creatures. The pair always had time for her and tried their hardest to cheer her up when she was down - and she hoped she could do the same if and when they needed it.
"Good morning, Ven, Gin," she would beam, her tail swaying excitedly before slowing down as her tutor mentioned her roommate... "It's going...alright, I guess?" her ears flicked outward slightly, "I've tried to set a regime of cleaning our room daily and taking regular baths...she's still a little sniffly, but I think we're getting there?"
She didn't mention the fact she'd awoken in her Fox form that morning, but having hastily tried to bundle up the sheets and set them out for washing later, she hoped Fiona wouldn't have been affected at all, "I tried to find some herbs or salves to help her in the marketplace, but I wasn't very successful..." she felt a little bad about that, having tried so hard to make her roommate as comfortable as possible in regards to her allergies...

[ - Enter Gin for RP Day - ]
Class was pretty much the last place he wanted to go – but he’d made a promise to Vivian, to get his butt out of bed and to attend class, or else. Their plan for him was to go through his lesson and then to meet her for lunch. It seemed that Viv wanted to keep a close eye on him, so going forward, she was going to be his lunch buddy. Not that he minded, he’d really missed her…He knew that she liked to drown her own sorrows in booze, and for once, he was beginning to see why. If alcohol could numb the ache in his heart, he’d seek it out too. But he knew that that wasn’t a solution for his problems, so he kept away. But he understood why Viv did it, at least a little...
Stepping into class, he saw Jesse, seated in her usual seat, the one right next to his. Part of him wanted to just plop down at the back of the class and avoid her sunny disposition. But he didn’t. While he was in a bad mood, he liked Jeese and didn’t want her to think he was mad at her. So, despite his current mental and emotional state, he took his seat, slouching low, his hood pulled down to obscure most of his face. He didn’t think Ven would mind – it wasn’t like they had a huge class anymore anyway.
Closing his eyes, arms crossed over his chest, he listened in on the conversation between Ven and Jesse but didn’t weigh in on it. Yes, they’d both offered her advice on her roommate, and he should talk to her about the results, but his heart was in it today.
Ven offered Jesse a friendly smile as she spoke. He knew it would take time, her and her roommate finding a solution to their little problem, but he was confident that they would work it out eventually. “Don’t give up hope, Jesse. It’s only been a few days.” All they could do was keep trying. Worst case scenario, they’d do a roommate swap so both of them could be comfortable.
As Gin slumped in his seat, his hood pulled low, Ven sighed a little, a frown forming on his lips. He knew that Gin wasn’t really in the mood for class, but having a distraction wasn’t a bad thing, especially if you were heart sick. “Alright…seeing as how our class has shrunk so much, and since it’s actually a nice day out, I propose that we go for a stroll in our shifter forms.” Ven knew better than to take them into the forest – ever since Otsanda’s disappearance, the students had been warned not to go into the forest on their own. But the Academy grounds were vast enough and they didn’t have to go far to enjoy the weather.
“What do you say? Go for a little stroll? Get some fresh air? I wouldn’t mind enjoying the sun while it’s out, it has been a long winter. Gin? What do you think?” Gin nodded a little in response. “I have a lunch date with Vivian I need to keep, but I wouldn’t mind a walk.” Gin said without looking up. At least he was talking. Looking to Jesse, he smiled. “Jesse? Want to lead us out?”

Ven's reminder was a good one - although she had been at the Academy for a while, Jesse had only really been Fiona's roommate for a matter of days...and although it was currently a struggle, she was certain that they would find some way around it - hopefully something that meant she didn't have to tidy up every day!
She had also noticed that the class had shrunk to minimal members and although that was a shame, it opened up opportunities such as the one their tutor now offered. Jesse's ears perked up at the question and she practically leapt from her desk, "You bet!"
Not necessarily eager for an excuse to be in her Shifter Form, Jesse transformed mid-leap and landed neatly on the desk at which she had originally been sitting. "I'd love to!" With clear energy to burn, she excitedly jumped from desk to desk until she reached Gin's, then she sat, grinning up at him, tail swishing from side to side before repeating the action of jumping desks until she reached the doorway.
In this form, she knew she would have to wait for someone to open the door for her...or perhaps take a few paces back and make a running jump, followed by a twist of her paws on the handle to flick the door open...but for this moment, she would hop back up onto the nearest desk and look across the room hopefully at Gin. He seemed to be a little down and dumpy again, but at least he was game for a walk - maybe he would brighten up when they got outside into the warm sunshine?

Unfortunately Jesse’s enthusiasm wasn’t contagious. Yeah, he wanted to get out of the classroom and get outside, but his heart wasn’t in it. Once out of his desk, he transformed into his wolf form. Head slumped a little, he didnt look like his normal self, even his shiny black and silver fur looked a little lackluster. With a sigh, he followed Jesse to the door where she waited for someone to open it. Ven followed behind in his human form, opening the door for them before he transformed into his larger bear form. Massive in size, Gin knew that he was sure to scare one or two people if they ran into anyone on their outing.
“Lead on, Jesse. We’re right behind you.” Ven said, encouraging her to lead the way out into the hall. Sure enough, any students or staff that happened to be around jumped in fright at the sight of first Gin, and then Ven. It wasn’t often that a small pack of animals roamed the halls, even at the Academy. Gin had to admit, it was a little amusing. Students knew that there were shifters on campus, why they didnt expect them to want to walk around in their animal forms was beyond his imagining.
“Charge down the halls, Jesse. Let loose.” He might not be in the mood to run around like a maniac, but he knew Jesse was a little ball of pent up energy, so why not encourage her to go wild?
Jesse had never been overly concerned when it came to darting through the corridors - she'd done it many a time and through the majority of her experiences, most people didn't even see her, she would look towards Ven as he told her to lead the way, it was when her friend Gin said to 'Let Loose' she glanced back at him, then Ven, then with a little 'Yip' of excitement she would dart away.
The wandering students were the assault course, their bags and equipment were the jumps, she would weave between the tallest obstructions, vaulting over anything that was low enough to jump before turning back - it was important not to lose sight of her friend and tutor and if she felt she'd run too far, the Fennec Child would twist round and dart back.
"Want to run with me, Gin?" she would slide to a halt infront of the wolf, grinning with an ear cocked outward as she sat down and watched as he and the bear wandered past. She would wait until they gotten a little bit ahead of her before turning round and taking a run at the pair, vaulting over Gin with a spinning twist before landing neatly on the floor just to the front side of him.
It would make better sense that they perhaps ran when they got outside, but having gotten the main burst of her energy out for the moment at least, she would contentedly walk just ahead of the pair, following them to whichever destination their Tutor may have in mind.

Gin smirked a little bit when Jesse yipped in excitement and ran down the hallway. He envied how carefree she was. Had he ever been that happy? Even in his youth? He couldn’t remember, but he liked to think that he had. Maybe one day he could be again. As Jesse ran back down the hall, coming to a skidding halt next to him, he smiled a little.
“Yeah…I’ll race you, once we get outside, ok?” While Jesse was quick and agile and able to jump through and around the students easily, he was much larger and harder to dodge. Unbeknownst to him, Ven was watching them, a small smile one his face. It seemed that Ven was happy with the fact that Gin was at least interacting with Jesse a little.
It didn’t take them long to wander through the halls and out into the Courtyard. It was virtually deserted, allowing them to run and do whatever they wanted. This wasn’t exactly how he’d expected to spend his class time, but he wasn’t complaining either. “What do you say to a game of tag?” He asked only to tag Jesse with his nose and run off across the way, past the fountain, gaining a head start as they began their game. In no time, Gin was laughing and forgetting about his troubles, at least for a short time…

Jace had spent most of the morning preparing himself both physically and mentally. Physically, he was preparing himself to look the best he possibly could. He needed to make sure his hair was behaving and not resuming its unfortunate habit of being wild and all over the place, he took pains to ensure his face was clean and no straggling of facial hair would be even visible. He made sure his attire was befitting of him and the occasion he was to attend as well as being functional. Mentally, he was preparing for something he really wished he didn't have to. He had found out from some older students, making sure not to ask for what class specifically, how knit classes were run. To his horror he found they were run in groups so there would be no hiding that he was a shifter to anyone else in the class. He had hoped to keep it a secret and for no one to find out but it seemed he was cursed to be exposed publicly. He hoped the people there could be discreet and for once hoped they knew little of him so they would not spread the information past the class. He could always deny it to anyone that wasn't in the class specifically. He honestly hated that he was a shifter. Anyone else who was he did not mind, but now he would have to attend a class everyday of the week where he would be reminded of such things. Looking at himself in the mirror he saw his eyes, shifting from normal to narrow slits and briefly saw his forked tongue out from his distressed mentality. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. 'There is nothing for it but to live with the tragic hand I've been dealt and find a way to use it for my advantage.' He told himself in his mind. It was his training to make weaknesses strength, and so he would have to hope he could stay focused enough to do so. It was also his only way home, which would serve as ample motivation. Regaining his composure, he would look himself over in the mirror one last time before heading to class.
Jace would arrive at the class early, having been disciplined early on that those who rise earliest typically hold the advantage over others. While it may have been more pleasant to arrive after many others had, he needed to deal with this eventually and could not be viewed as a coward from hiding himself. It was unbecoming. So he strode confidently into the room, externally calm but internally hoping no one not part of the class had seen him enter it. He would take a seat near the front, eager to get the knowledge required as soon as possible so he could go back to Langfrey. While being earlier than everyone else here he would be seated calmly with his hands lightly resting in his lap, listening attentively for the approach of anyone else as he let his thoughts begin to wander. He had no clue how this class would go or how he would even fare in it. If it were all book learning and things like that he had no doubt he would pass with flying colors. However most of his life was spent repressing his shifting as a stigma. He may have enjoyed it once or twice in private, but in the company of people he had years of repressing it as much as he could. So if this class were more of the actual shifting action than anything he was not sure how he would fare. 'I may not even be able to shift correctly at this rate.' [Thanya enters the Shifter Classroom from her Dorm for the beginning of the new rp day.]
Thanya would enter the classroom letting out a loud yawn. She was so excited for class today she had barely slept a wink, plus it had taken her a while to get her new dorm room set up to her liking. Scanning across the room she would spot a familiar face. With a sleepy smile she would move up and take a seat next to Jace. Though tired, Thanya appeared to be no less cheerful. "Good morning Jace! You sure are here bright and early. Did ya get any good sleep? I was too excited about today to get much myself. I've never had any formal learning like this before so I don't know what to expect. Do you have an idea what class will be like? I guess we will find out soon enough, heheh"
As Thanya sat in her chair her long bushy tail prehensile curled around the back of it. It seemed her tail liked to naturally cling to whatever was around her.

[ - Enter Shifter Classroom – Begin Interaction for New RP Day - ]
The first knit class of the school year. It was strange how Gin had been so eager to graduate and yet here he was again, back on campus for another year… As the Teaching Assistant for the Shifter Class, Gin was required to attend every class, just like any other shifter student, but this year, he had some responsibility and some power. With Ven off running around the city looking for carrot cake for Gianna, Gin was responsible for starting the class in Ven’s absence.
After getting up early, Gin had had to practically drag Rin out of the nest she’d created. He’d suspected she hadn’t slept well the previous night. Whether she’d tossed and turned all night from excitement or nerves or both, he wasn’t sure, but in any case, she was groggy as all hell. Gin had forced her to eat something before coaxing her onto his back for a piggy-back ride to the Academy.
Stepping into the shifter classroom, Gin was surprised to see two students already seated and ready to go. He’d specifically left the house early to ensure that he and Rin arrived first, but it seemed that hadn’t left early enough. Shifting Rin’s weight on his back, he peeked over his shoulder at her and smirked. Dozing, half awake, Rin was barely hanging onto him. “We’re here…” He teased as he walked toward the front of the classroom.
Gin stopped a few rows from the front to set Rin down in a chair, gently of course, before heading to the front of the class. Taking a seat on top of the desk, Gin looked to the two newbies – both new students – with interest.
“Morning…I’m Gin, the Teaching Assistant for this class. That sleepyhead over there is my sister, Rin.” Gin said with a smirk and a shake of his head as he gestured toward Rin. “Ven, the Professor, is running a little late, but we have a few other students who should be arriving soon, so I’ll give them a few minutes before we get started.” He said as he looked the male and female over.
“Why don’t you two introduce yourselves. Let’s start with your names, where you’re from and what animal you can shift into.” Meeting new shifters was always fun. The female was clearly some kind of mammal, but the male…he seemed a bit more exotic, and Gin was curious to know what kind of an animal he might have hiding beneath the surface….
"Hhnngh..." The young Shifter grumbled. After having to be woken up early... Followed by a struggle to get a decent amount of sleep last night, Catherine was practically a zombie. It took some coaxing from her brother to get her moving, ready and fed in time to reach her first day in the Academy. She even used to chance on his back to rest her eyes. When they entered the classroom is when Rin would begin to wake a little more, her groggy eyes looking over the other people in the room from over Gin's shoulder.
Next thing she knew she was set into a seat where she'd curl up a little in an attempt to stay comfy. Her ears twitched when she heard her brother introduce her and would raise a limp arm up and wave before resuming her curled up position.
While Gin was speaking the girl would attempt to coax herself awake, shaking her head frantically and rubbing her eyes, even blinking rapidly. Then he mentioning them sharing their shifter forms... "Hrnn..." Rin half considered just shifting on the spot to be even cozier, but figured she should just keep trying to wake herself normally. Eventually she was at least sitting on the seat normally, as much as she'd prefer not to be right about now...

Briefly glancing over his shoulder, he saw it was Miss Kamsing yet again. He seemed to be running into her a lot and it was not intentional. Then again, it wasn't entirely unwanted regardless. Keeping his gaze on her and offering his own polite smile to her sleepy one, nothing she looked a bit tired, he awaited the inevitable barrage as she sat down besides him. Surprisingly, despite how tired she seemed she also seemed as cheerful as ever. How she could manage such a thing he was unsure, but it must be a talent specific to her as even he could not always keep up his neutral facade. And, following a friendly introduction, her energetic nature took over as she launched a flurry of questions to him while speaking too fast for him to even respond. He almost couldn't believe she was asleep with how much energy she managed to have, even answering some of her own questions. He noticed a movement by her chair and saw her tail wrapping around it. He was curious why, but perhaps it provided some comfort to do so. He never had a tail, nor knew anyone with it, so he had no point of reference to know. Still, he had enough things to answer so far that he could save the question for later. He would calmly answer her, shifting slightly in his seat to lean on the side that was towards her. "Good morning to you as well Miss Kamsing. I had a pleasant sleep, i'm accustomed to waking up early for the day so it hardly affected me. Thank you for asking." He would say to answer her question on his sleep, pausing if he should comment on her amount of sleep before deciding not to and continuing to speak. "I am unsure what this class will be like, but I have heard classes can vary depending on the teacher. As you said, we shall see soon enough."
It was then that their company gained a few additional members. A pair walked in, one male and one with a girl that was mostly asleep on his back. It almost reminded him of the rides his sister would occasionally ask for on their small expeditions. He wondered if they were siblings as he noticed the guy leave the girl a few rows back before he himself continued forward. "Are they students too?" Jace briefly thought to himself, wondering why they weren't sitting together if that were the case. Then, rather shockingly, he did not take a seat at one of the student desk, or even the teacher one, but on the desk itself. Jace had a confused look on his face for a moment at why he would do such a thing before composing himself yet again with a neutral look towards him. He introduced himself as Gin the teaching assistant, and the other girl as Rin. He also mentioned she was his sister, as Jace had suspected from the ride he had given her here. Jace hadn't considered the teacher not attending the first day of class as he was shortly told. From his home if that ever happened they were promptly fired, but given the casualness Gin took to deliver the news perhaps it was less severe here. If it were just this small group he would be fine as it was a very small amount of people that would know of his knit, but his next words about there being more quickly destroyed that hope. There was no escaping it now.He then asked them to introduce themselves by name, origin and animal that they were. Jace internally despaired at having to reveal it right from the start. He didn't really know how he would've avoided revealing it in this class, but it had existed nonetheless.
Taking a breath to keep his internal emotions composed, he resigned himself to speaking now hopefully before anyone else would arrive. Perhaps if he got it out of the way now he would be spared anyone else learning who his family was. He would calmly rise from his seat till he was standing and give a simple bow to Gin as he would begin to speak. "I am Jace Willem of Langfrey. I shift into...a snake. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Jace would say, for the most part maintaining a neutral tone until he mentioned what he shifted into, a slight bit of displeasure leaking into his voice as he said it. It was even enough to cause his forked tongue to briefly flicker out from his mouth before very quickly disappearing back in, almost as if it never happened if you weren't paying much attention. He would then resume his seat and allow Miss Kamsing to introduce herself, both because he reasoned she would likely want to and so he would not have to speak more of his abilities. He only hoped no one else would notice and it would only be the people currently in this room, though he did not check for he did not want others to suspect how much it bothered him to reveal it. He would take the time to briefly study Gin himself, pondering where he was from and what he turned into. With the entrance of Rin on Gin's back Thanya looked relieved to not be the most tired person in the class. When Gin asked for an introduction she was all too eager to reply, but Jace beat her to the punch. Thanya watched him with rapt attention as gave his response, curious to learn more about her new classmate. When his forked tongue briefly flicked out, her eyes widened, though it was not clear if she picked up the disdain in his voice. Once Jace finished speaking Thanya would face forward and stand up from her desk. She would raise her hand up in the air and begin her energetic introduction despite her tiredness. "Hi! I am Thanya Kamsing! I hail from the jungles of Mistun where my tribe lives in tree-houses in the forest canopy! I shift into a creature called a binturong, though a lot of people don't know what that is. I guess you can say its kind of like a cross between a monkey a bear and a cat! I am looking forwarded to taking class with you all!"
Thanya would sit back down and cast a reassuring smile at Jace. Her attention would return to Gin. Despite the rings around her eyes she looked eager to start learning.

Jesse Randall ~ Entering Shifter Classroom ~
So, the first day back at the Academy, on a day of great importance and necessary attendance...she'd narrowly been late due to initially heading off to work at the Tailors instead, today, of all days - her first day back at Knit Class and she had slept in! What was going on??
Hastily throwing on her clothes and grabbing for her bag, Jesse swung open the door to her dorm room before darting out into the corridor. With time ticking, she knew there was little chance she'd make it there by the start of lessons if she didn't do something... With little need to ponder, the Fennec Child quickly took on her Shifter form and made a dash towards the classrooms...
She wasn't exactly panting when she arrived, but not wanting to waste any further time in returning to her human form, the little shifter would lunge for the handle, using her front paws to cling, whilst her back paws went into action opening the door which would swing open. Jesse hadn't really intended to make such an entrance, but being the last person who wanted to appear tardy, she hadn't really thought things over...
As the door reached the point where it could swing no further - giving a little clunk as it stopped briefly before slowly beginning its return - the Fennec Child would release her grip, dropping down into a sitting position infront of said door before turning her head, her large ears flicking outward with mild embarrassment as she realised she'd perhaps made a scene? Had she been in her human form, Jesse might just have flushed pink in the cheeks, but wanting to avoid that, she quietly stood, her long tail swishing slowly behind her as she bowed her head towards Gin and crossed the classroom towards her seat.
Only once she had leapt up to the chair infront of her desk did she return to her human form, bowing her head slightly before looking towards Gin - it was great to see him, but she couldn't help but feel she'd distracted things away from what he might have been saying... "Sorry..."

Gianna had this master plan for a while. She wanted Gin to spend the first day mainly by himself so that he could get used to taking lead and helping the students he would be working with this year. She was sure it would be a new experience in a way since he was sitting in the student’s section not too long ago. Besides, she knew he was more than capable at taking lead. It also helped that she was really craving carrot cake but was lacking a few ingredients for it. After breakfast she told Ven of her craving and being the dear that he is went to get it, of course she mentioned what she wanted to do as well since it would be odd to just send him out when he had a class. When Gin and Rin departed a bit early to head to the academy, Gia went to take out the cookies she prepped so she could bake them while she cleaned up from breakfast and got ready.
Just because it was his first day as teaching assistant and wanted Gin to take charge didn’t mean she couldn’t visit. It being his first day gave her more reason to do so. So, with nice wrapped freshly baked cookies, she went on her way to the academy, so she could stop by the shifter classroom. Knocking on the door, she let herself in and smiled at all the students that were there. ”Wow, look at all these faces. What a nice bunch you all seem to be.” Noticing her dear son, she walked over to him and brought him in her arms. She gave him a tight squeeze and rubbed her cheek against his. ”You and Rin left the house only a bit ago and yet I missed you~”
