Physical Description: Thella stands at 5'6 and is naturally quite trim. She is in shape thanks to the nature of her job - climbing all over a huge dragon daily will give you muscles in places you didn't know you had - and enjoys staying fit. Her long brown hair is generally tied back in a braid to stay out of the way and it is only a shade or two darker than her brown eyes which are generally twinkling with mischief. She's surprisingly fair skinned for someone who is outside most of the time and aside from a beauty mark beside her left eye, her skin is unblemished. She wears sensible clothes for dragon riding and exploring, although she'll usually have a banana, scarf, or some sort of accessory on her person that is bright red, her favorite color.

Personality: Ever since she was small Thella has had a fearlessness about her that used to worry her parents. She loves to explore and learn new things and doesn't care about the potential dangers that might bring. If there's something new to try, you can bet Thella will be the first in line to do so! She doesn't care much about what other people think of her and actively tries to show those that don't agree with her her side of things to the point of arguments or even brawls in a few situations in her youth. She can often be over-bearing in her attempts to enlighten others and frequently will turn others off just by her straight-forward manner of speaking.

Thella has an awful habit of swearing and tries her hardest to catch herself when around children or in professional situations, but it frequently slips through anyway. Thanks to the manner in which she was raised, she needs to have some way to express herself and enjoy a bit of freedom whether it's a walk through the woods, a chat with a like-minded person or her dragon about controversial topics, or even just a nice warm bath and some alone time. Thella will always rise to any challenge given to her just to prove that yes, she can do it. Despite her in-your-face attitude, if she finds that she is wrong about something, she will admit it and apologize.

History: Thella was born to two explorers, Dalle of Green Taeth and Shen of Blue Filagoth. She grew up around many different cultures and traveled around Pern at a young age on the backs of her parents dragons, going wherever they needed to go to find work. She was generally left in a village with someone to keep an eye on her so her parents could take up jobs to make money, but when they were adventuring on their own they always made sure to involve Thella as much as possible. Her adventurous lifestyle was the dream of any young child, flying through the air on dragon back and seeing new and wonderful things.

It was on the eve of her 15th birthday when she and her parents were resting in a town close to the High Reaches Weyr that a man by the name of M'aze and his bronze dragon, Zeath, found her after the bronze became aware of a potential Candidate in the area. Her parents were proud but wary as they knew High Reaches well. They had both left the Weyr to leave behind the strict rule system to live a life of freedom and adventure. That a bronze had Searched their daughter was an honor, but they knew what sort of life awaited Thella within the walls of the Weyr. They ultimately left the decision up to her, and after some discussion, Thella agreed to return to High Reaches to become a Candidate.

From day one she knew it was going to be a challenge. Things were very different from what she knew. She had to get up at a certain time, her life was ruled by a schedule the Candidatemaster oversaw, she had chores and classes and very little freedom, and for the first few months she questioned if her decision had been the right one. Finally a clutch was laid and she Stood during the hatching, and in that moment she knew she had made the right choice after all. To see the baby dragons wobbling about, to experience what her parents had been through, to see the joy and happiness as each dragon found their One....yes. This had been the right call.

Although she didn't Impress that clutch, the next one found a little brown dragon wobbling his way to her. She had her eye on the rather dull yellow egg ever since the Touching as she and the unborn dragon had had a rather strong connection, and as she crouched on the sands to gather the newborn in her arms, she could feel the judgemental eyes of those in the stands on her back. Yes, a brown dragonrider was usual male, but there were a few here that broke that norm that she had met. She was not so secretly pleased at the color of her One and wrote to her parents of the good news. They were both proud that she had Impressed outside of the normal color range for women, especially at High Reaches, and encouraged her to stay the course and learn everything she could about being a proper rider and a good companion.

Thella and Lireloth became a brilliant duo, exceeding in their training and performing well during drills. Their bond and talents were put to the test when Thread came once again, but they fared well and hopefully dispelled some of the doubt that constantly surrounded them. Now officially done with their training and a true part of the Weyr, Thella is always eager to find those that doubt her and her companion and prove them wrong. Life is structured and conservative, but Thella is determined to push the boundaries those at High Reaches have to try to make it a bit more open minded and accepting.
Other: Depending on how RP and METAs go Thella and Lireloth may leave High Reaches to either join the Western Weyr or to rejoin her parents. There's only so much structure they can take! Ages up OOCly on November 22nd.

Physical Description: Lireloth is fairly average for a dragon in terms of structure. He's well proportioned and not too heavily muscled, in shape but not overly so. He does love his treats and snacks but thanks to the rigorous training he does daily he works off the extra calories. The only thing that seems unique to him is that his horns are longer than normal and end in a slight curve downward. When he was smaller Thella would hold on to them like handle bars or to hold his head still to keep his attention on her. He has finally lost the baby fat and gangly limbs of youth and has filled out his frame nicely.
Personality: Lireloth thrives on attention, both good and bad. When in his egg he was quite popular thanks to is outgoing personality and he loved feeling all the different hands on his shell. What drew him to Thella was her adventurous spirit and her devil-may-care attitude. He knew he'd get up to some fun with her, for certain! While clearly an attention hog, Lireloth can be persuaded to let others have their moment in the sun with the promise of treats and long flights. He adores anything that is glittery and shiny and has a 'small' collection of sparkly things he finds while out and about, from rocks and coins to old armor and occasionally jewelry. He and Thella make a formidable team when they put their minds to it, but more often than not they're stirring the pot purposefully or accidentally and spending their time outside of the Weyr, enjoying a bit of freedom before returning to the grind of the Weyr. Lireloth's true weakness is his vanity. If someone is willing to wax poetic about how wonderful he is, they can get him to do just about anything or distract him long enough to do something behind his back. Thella tries to keep him in check so he doesn't fall victim to pretty words with ill intent, but sometimes it's hard to tell him to leave something he wants alone.
