Wait… O’dyn cautioned, but dragon instinct overruled; Ansheth moved Between. O’dyn gritted his teeth, before sunlight flashed before him once more. Shards. They had gone too soon, maneuvered wrong. No.
The screams behind them were very telling, and he fought at the wave of despair that threatened to plunge the pair into something much darker and threatening than Thread. Focus.

As Ansheth flamed a large clump before him, a gust of wind caught him off-guard. The ash sprang into their faces, O’dyn coughing slightly, the dragon wobbling as he adjusted. Ansheth?
It is fine, it only stings a little.

It had started and as the Weyr took their position to the sky there was a twisted knot in the middle of E’nd stomach. They had been preparing for this and there was no doubt they would be able to handle it, and he would do as much as possible as a wingsecond to make sure they all made it out mostly alive if possible.
The silver threads started to fall, trailing from the sky as the dragons above started their attack. He shouted to the group to be ready, to be prepared and soon they all moved as Fadeth let out a stream of fire towards a one of the strands. Turning left they hadn’t caught the ash falling from the sky until too late, it burned and stung as E’nd fought to not rub his face.

As they gracefully dodge through the air E’nd throw a firestone watching as the large bronze dip to snag it in his large open jaw. Fadeth screeched as the E’nd winced from the pain he could feel from the bronze beneath him, the pain of a throbbing tongue.

He was distracted, as E’nd tried to get the lithe bronze to weave in and out of the thread as he attempted to toss another stone to him. Noticing it at the last second the bronze snapped at it again, howling as the pain stretched across his whole jaw.

Flamed escaped Fadeth’s jaw as the bronze maneuvered between the falling silvery clumps, still annoyed by the swollen tenderness from his tongue from before.
Fadeth watch out! E’nd cried as a clump came too close almost reaching them as they moved in between to avoid the brunt of it, however the bronze gave an annoyed grunt as his tail swept into the mass of it, burning his hide.

Edalla and Green Moilath (Star Flame, First Wave)
The call for action came, after the rousing speech from their Weyrleader. She had climbed on Moilath, before taking off with her wing for the skies. The green pair blinked to the coordinates they were given, arriving in mid-altitude. Edalla's sharp gaze noticed as three clumps head for one of their fellow riders.
Moilath, you can do it, I have faith in you. Take care of those,Edalla thought to her beloved. She made sure to send her love as the green began to send three fire bursts of flame flying. She has a look of satisfaction in her eyes when she notices the thread turn to ash.
I did it, Mine, I saved others,the green thought, glad she had been able to do her part. She felt more love coming from her bonded at that.

They didn't have much time to think on it, however, as the wind reminded them of their presence. Edalla could feel Moilath struggling against it, trying to keep in formation. She was proud of her, letting her know she believed in her.
I don't like this wind, EdallaMine. I am not giving up though,the green assured her rider.

Edalla was figuring they would get a moment to breathe, when she saw a large clump of thread bearing down on them. Thankfully, Moilath seemed to notice it too, because she managed to destroy it with a big burst of flame. The woman couldn't be prouder of her green today, she was doing amazing.
That was a little close, but I couldn't let it hit us,Moilath thought to her rider.
You did wonderfully, Moilath. No matter what today, you are an amazing partner,Edalla reminded.

As much as they wanted a moment, they didn't get it as another huge clump came hurtling in their direction. Moilath was prepared again, sending another burst of fire aimed at the incoming menace.

Edalla and Green Moilath (Star Flame, First Wave)
Edalla was feeling pretty lucky, as they managed to flame down some more thread that entered their path. Unfortunately, that luck did not seem to be shared with all of their fellow wingriders. Her attention was directed over to one of their bronze riders, just as the dragon let out a roar of pain. She watched them blink between and she expected them to come back, telling herself the burn could be looked at and healed. Unfortunately, she did not see them come back at all, but she reasoned they could have gone down to the healers. Those thoughts were dashed when she heard Keziath's keen, along with Moilath's.
Dharmath and P'kav, they..they can't be gone. Mine...came the green's sad plea in her mind.
We will fight on, for them, my striped beauty. We have to,Edalla spoke firmly, but lovingly to the other. She kept a calm composure on the outside, but losing one of their fellow riders this early, did not sit well with her.
