As Nix neared the two-storied building, he quickly assessed the situation and decided to ignore those on the rooftop for now and continue pursuit of his original targets, the riders.
As he neared the two-storied building, he aligned himself near parallel to its wall and began to sprint at a shallow angle toward and eventually up it, followed by a three-quarter gainer, spinning down to the street below and kicking up the dust around him as he landed and slowed his spin to a stop in front of the would-be agents of Yule's destruction.
(I'm taking that leeway with the surroundings you gave us and running with it and assuming that the second-story and the one that Nix is on next to it are very close together, like body-length or less. He's pretty much going to use the building's wall to aid him in a flip down, running up the wall until he is completely perpendicular to it and then performing a full clockwise spin [relative to his center of mass] and a three-quarter, also clockwise, rotation [relative to the ground] from the first-story wall to the street, then slowing his using a wide stance to both cushion his fall and halt his spin several feet in front of the riders.
If it's almost humanly impossible to do in this world without it [which it shouldn't since I've seen those urban ninjas guy do pretty much the same thing, minus the one-story fall] I'll add the Spider-Foot Style to it to keep myself horizontal on the wall before I do the spin/flip down, using up 4 motes of Personal Essence [which would bring the Personal pool down to 9 from 13])

Garrison rammed the scythe out the window, not worried about ripping it up as he did so, he forced it into an upward swing of the edge of the roof, letting the blade catch on the corroding wooden lip. Without worrying if it was secure he pulled himself out of the window and hung from the handle, carelessly shimmying up his weapon until he could reach the lip with his fingers and pull himself up the rest of the way. He was up in a flash, his scythe with him. He observed a bald man attacking his companion. He posed horrifyingly, an ivory statue eclipsing a shining afternoon sun ((OH lawd I hope dis is daytime.)). He said nothing, he simply stared at the stranger, intently, with his scythe casually thrown over a shoulder.
((FYI: I'm activating Soul-Flaying Gaze. If I can beat his Willpower with a Manipulation+Presence(=8 ) roll, he is hypnotized by my stare for a whole turn (or set of ticks I guess) and also loses three Willpower. I'm burning eight motes of personal Essence, and a single Willpower.))
((Edit: Jesus Christ... I hope he's not Exalted... only two successes. If I lost against his Willpower it has no effect, he can act normally.))

Ashura rolled, then still sideway flew up off of the deck leaving wisps of flame behind her, Landing on her feet just in time to avoid another blow from the bald mans foot. She lashed out at him with her fists in a flurry of strikes, all of which the man deflected with his still raised foot, never changing position. "Your fast, child, but your form is lacking." And with that his heel knocked away the last of her strikes, just as Garison was pulling himself over the edge, before strikeing her squarly in the chest, and tossing her along the roof, finally rolling up on one knee perilously close to the drop off.
Even as she rolled though, Garison locked eyes with the bald man, who smiled benignly, and blured forward. "It would be most fortuitous to have you as an example to study, but let's see if your good enough."
(( 6 strike successes, +4 from the second excelency...crap, forgot acc... but still, 10 would beat either of your dv's, right?))
((... I'm stupid, second taks away strike dice... lets just call it 8, but your dv's are at -2 from the charm))

Warrior Yoko (( so you take the hit? he was striking you)) ((I'm sorry, I don't mean to argue, but nothing about that post said he was attacking. I'll go back and rewrite my post accordingly. I saw the scene as he zoomed over to right in front of me, sort of as a taunt, and then gave me a second to return said taunt, but okay.))

((*rereads* i hate it when my comp randomly deletes sections of typed stuff. *sighs* it removed the whole strike desciption, though the comments about strike rolls should have tipped you off something was amiss methinks... but then again, as my head knows a strike is there, i prolly looks like confusing stuff for Nix to worry abou or summat))
((... I'm tired, he's open palm striking you for eight successes, your defense value is at minus 2 from your last charm, and while I don't have a book to check, i don't think you can use another charm until you've refrshed your dv))

Defense Value: It exists for Parry and dodge which are seperate defenses, but you can only use 1 at a time

[OOC]Wait, I'm confused now. xd Am I worrying about the guy on the roof, now?
I don't even see a mention of Nix in the actual action post, which makes you talking about Nix down below even more confusing to me. sweatdrop [/OOC]

((...okay... this is what i get for trying to continue with thise while that freaking tired.
Nix first.
Nix, there's some distance to travel before your going to arrive at us. You've shortened travel time significant'y by travelling by roof, but there's still gonna be a few actions before your last post is set off, which is why you weren't mentioned, though at this rate, your action will happen as posted, and you will cut off the riders just in front of the inn like you posted, or at least that's what I think you intend to do from that alleyway your landing in.
Garison, my appologies for the crappy half asleep instructions I gave you. Your being kicked, for 8 successes. Your Pary defense value should be (dex+melee+weapon defense (which can be a penalty on large weapons) ) / 2. Your dodge DV should be (dex+dodge+Permanent essence) / 2. Round up for both. I might have left something out, but those should be the basic equations for your DV's. Because you just used a charm, I'm fairly certain that you can't use a charm right now to increas your DV. If 8 is higher than both of them, tell me which is the highest. Also, becasue you just used a powerful charm and your action has yet to refresh (note, I'm running time pretty lax for this, epecially since we dont have 2nd Ed. rules for your charms, but I think it's safe to say he'd get in a hit before a charm like Soul Flaying Gaze refreshed) your Defense values are at -2. For future reference, if we do a technical fight with action ticks and all, Sould flaying Gaze is Speed 6, DV penalty 2. Oh, If one or both of your DV's is higher than his strike, pick the one that works best, or the one you like best if both are fine, and right up a description of how you defend yourself.
Here's hoping that clears things up. ^_^!

((OOOOOOOoookay! I've got this book right'cha, and I've come to the conclusion that my Dodge is only 5, where my Parry is... 2... because of my scythe, apprently it's a horrible defensive weapon. But my guy isn't one to perry anyway, so I'm all good. Unfortunatly he beat me either way, even without the minus from the Charm recovery. Since he was kicking me I'm hoping that we'll both fall off the building. Otherwise I'm going to roll with the kick and fall, I was on the very edge of the building.))
Garrison takes the kick, falling slowly backwords with the impact, hopeing that his attacker will lose balance with this and fall too.
((My reasoning is that if I basically went all soft after the kick, he would loose balance. Sort of like if you and another person are pushing at eachother with all your power, and then one gives away and both fall. I dunno if it'll work that way, I'm probably full of hooey, but either way I'm thinking the ground is going to treat me better then this guy.))
