Akila rested her hand on one particular spot on his wing...where Clorogne had grabbed it during the fight, "And it's better now?" she asked quickly, a small frown gracing her expression.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus nodded, his ever present grin on his face. He flexed the wing so Akila could feel the strong muscles under her hand. "Yep. Grandmother does good work, even on bones." He told her cheerfully, as if it had merely been a scratch and nothing serious. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila sighed, and nodded, ""yep." she looked down at her leg, "And her treatments go quickly?" she bit her lip, and leant against the wing that was behind her. Warm. Comfortable.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus shrugged though he kept his wings still. "The smaller the injury, the faster it goes." He glanced down at her leg. "What happened? I noticed you came back from the forest like that but I didn't find out what happened in the forest." Without even thinking about it really, he curled his wing around Akila, cradling her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila blinked, "Oh yeah! I didn't send them to you yet!" as if realising she was speaking too loudly, she quieted to a whisper, "I went to Clorogne's cabin, and got documentation....but there were booby-traps everywhere."she explained.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus straighten up, his eyes glittering appreciatively. "You did? Great!" He glanced around the marketplace, then back to Akila. "Is your ankle feeling any better? This probably isn't the best place to talk. Aleera can find us later. I've never known anyone who can hide from that girl when she really wants to find them." The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Meh, I'm used to pain." She gave Markus a cheesy grin , "Where do you want to go?" She asked curiously.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... An emotion flickered across Markus' dark eyes, darkening them further. He didn't like the idea of Akila being used to pain. The emotion was gone almost as soon as it had arrived. He was very good at hiding his emotions now, much better than when he had been a child. "Well, if you're up to the walk - or fly -" He added with a mischievous grin. "My place is the safest to talk. If you don't want to go far though, I know a couple safe houses around here." The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I don't think going far would be smart....Clorogne isn't awake yet, but when he is..." she led off, unsure how she'd thought to finish the statement. She put a little pressure on her leg and winced just a little, "It's better than it was before...I should be able to walk, but y'know, if you WANT to fly..." She supposed he'd enjoy flying, and she walk below, since she didn't HAVE wings. How cool would it be to have wings? A thought for a different time.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "We'll go to one of the safehouses then." Markus decided with a nod. "The one has a lovely rooftop garden. Perfect place to land." His grin became impossibly wide and before Akila could say anything he had scooped her up and jumped into the air, dark wings pumping strongly. "Since you agreed that I could fly if I want." He told her once they'd reached a height well above the town. He set his wings and began gliding lazily, the wind tousling his hair. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila squeaked and held tightly onto Markus, peeking out of one eye.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus chuckled at Akila's reaction. "Relax." He told her soothingly. "Open your eyes and look. I won't drop you. This is my world now, where I belong." Below them, the town was spread out like a map, everything well below them. "The sky is mine." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila's ears were back, and she'd pressed her face into the crook of his neck, but after listening to him speak, she fluttered her eyes open to watched below them, like a play being preformed. "It's wonderful." she gasped a little.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus grinned at her. "Can you see why I love flying so much? Up here, I'm free. Nothing really matters. No rebellion, no slaves, no pain, no trickery, no sneaking around. Just me and the air." He began a playful display of aerial acrobatics, ducking, swooping, turning, rolling, rising, and generally playing around in the air. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"As long as you don't drop me." Akila nodded. It was so beautiful up there? With each trick she giggled, and stared up even higher.
