Iñigo wanted to turn around and see what was happening with the tryout...specifically...Lexine, but he remembered last year when he did that...Gypsy had caught him...so, he only took a few quick glimpses if the bludger took a roundabout, but he really kept his eyes on his own practice, which is sectioned off away from everyone to make sure nothing bad happened. So, while waiting for the bludger to come toward him, he raced to meet it and went to swing.
He made okay contact with the bludger, but it was off by a few inches to the right...it was okay though. He was just practicing...so he really didn't need to hit the target every single time.

Just as she got there, Lexine caught the snitch. She smiled at the other girl. then realized that the snitch was just barely in front of her and continued after it!

Unfortunately, it seemed like both his and Benjamin's attempts at a steal failed, though he guessed he shouldn't have been surprised. Echo was an upper classmen and an experienced player, so there was very little chance for Dylan to succeed immediately.

Xavier rubbed his forehead when Gypsy mentioned what was going on with her being late, not exactly happy, but knowing that David League was a pain. That both of them had to deal with. Ugh. He turned his attention to the tryouts, knowing he had to pay attention and watched the rest of the chasers as he started their tryouts. He was pretty quiet, thinking he only needed to speak when necessary. After all, if nothing else, he would correct them if necessary.

Hey, Ark, with regards to your numbers, they're incorrect. For having Advanced Flying I and II, you should have a +3, and a +1 from two years of experience. You then add that to your skills to get your numbers. As it stands, your AC would be a 16, your spotting would be a +6, and your catching would be a +6. Please change these accordingly. Thank you.

He kept his practice up...starting to get a little bored chasing the one bludger around. He caught it though and took a front handed swing at it. He wondered if he would actually get the target this time instead of missing it by literally inches...and nipping it the first time. He's already killed it though with his backhanded strike, which was pretty good, but he still needed to perfect his craft.
The swing was almost perfect and he sent the bludger barreling into the target at an extremely high speed. He didn't know what was up with his swing, but he was hitting the bludger so much harder than he did last year. He was killing this target really. The target was now even more dented in than it was before.

But he had to remind himself that this was what he wanted and steadied himself on his broom as he waited for the shot to be fired. When it was he reached out hoping he would at least not fail too horribly. ❞

Dylan watched the quaffle fly into the goal, a slight smile flickering across his lips. It was good to know that someone as good as Echo was playing for the Ravenclaw team, though he didn't know of a lot of players from the other houses. He was caught slightly off-guard when Timothy tossed the Quaffle to him, but went to grab it anyway.

Iñigo noticed that Timothy had thrown the ball to Dylan and he took the opportunity to steal the quaffle. He saw Dylan catch the ball, but he tried to time it so that as soon as the boy caught the ball that he would swoop in for the steal when the ball was the most revealed...and that was when it was in the boy's hands, but not quite tucked. He finally got to the boy and went for the steal, wondering if he get it, but going in confidently.
Benjamin...missed...again. He was close...tipping it again, but he didn't get it. That was terrible. Why did he keep getting so close but just not getting the steal off. It was a little disheartening to say the least, but he kept himself from becoming angered with himself and kept working hard.

The boy grew a little bored, being the only one over there. Gypsy had been captaining; so he really had no one to talk to; since none of the first years or anyone else for that matter wanted to become a beater. It had just been him and Gypsy...again, which wasn't a bad thing because they were both decent, but Iñigo always embraced competition. He also would teach some of the others techniques if they wanted, making sure not to interfere with any of Gypsy's captaining either, but alas, there was no one to do that with.
He finally just flew over to practice his backhand. He flew at the bludger as fast as he could...and he went to swing as it was passing. He didn't get a good enough break on it and the bludger had shifted movement at the last second, which surprised him. They didn't usually shift direction on a dime like that, but it came extremely close to crashing into his ribs, which would've been interesting, but he was able to get the hit off...but it certainly wasn't on target.
