"Exuberance" Richard replied

Januff narrowed her eyes, ears twitching and tail straight out. "Jack...." she sniffed the air, and her ears went flat on her head, her tail going between her legs. "I think he's dead..."

Januff stepped deeper into the hall, looking down both ends before she stepped into the room and tugged on Jack's arm. "We have to find help, his second in command maybe? I don't think all of those sea rats were eliminated."

Januff frowned, beginning to look through things. Oddly enough, her mind wondered to Arklo, the son of a chief of an enemy tribe. Their tribes had been willing to form an alliance through their marraige. Arklo would've had control of both tribes, and the coming of an heir would've secured Januff's future. Arklo himself was a war hero, held in the highest regard and his reputation well known throughout the reservations. He was tall and brawny, his fur a russet color and his eyes a smoky gray. His inscisors and claws were sharper than dangers and his tail thick and shapely. His only flaw was a scar on his muzzle which made him appear more feral. He was every tribal woman's dream. Except for Januff's. The man was arrogant, cocky, and insensative. He viewed women as possessions, as insignificant as her tribe made them out to be. She was brought out of her thoughts as her fingers brushed an object loose from the top of a trunk.

"Jack...found something..."

Januff lifted up the item so he could see. "You have one like it, don't you...a navi?"

"Tch, no one's ever had a navi like me dog girl." Januff dropped the navi in surprise, looking up at Jack in alarm. "Hey toots, be easy yeah? I may not have been an expensive buy but I'm delictae nonetheless."

Januff took comfort in Jack's smile and turned her attention back to the navi, amused out how different this one was from Richard. She wondered how the navi would feel about the matter.

"The name's Elsie. I may be female but I'd just as soon as tear out your jugular if I had a body to do it than tell you anythin. Besides, what ya gonna give me if I do got somethin worth tellin? I don't work out of the goodness of my heart bub."

Januff smothered a giggle at Jack's words. She didn't know why she found it funny, but she did, but it seemed the navi didn't feel that way.

"Pretty shady if you ask me. I'd be careful with those threats of yours, I'm not your average navi! Besides, I've got info that you need from the looks of it, you'd be smart not to dispose of me. But I guess I can tell you one thing: you're a walking target on a ship full of people with itchy trigger fingers and guess what fox boy? They raised the price on your head! How much ya wanna bet that any one of these hunters would be willing to do just about anything to get you- includin killing every person on this ship? The captain was the forst but he won't be the last, of that I garantee."

"Tch, it was fun while it lasted. Hey puppy dog, ya gonna tell him or should I?" Januff frowned at the navi's words, shaking her head at Jack. She knew nothing of this. "Oh hoho, acting dumb are we? Funny, considering I saw a guy with clothes very similar to yours not too long ago, although I wouldn't call them clothes. You and your kind have no modesty do ya? Look at those things you're wearing. You could pop outta them at any moment!" Januff took a step back. You'd think she'd be confused, but she wasn't. Yet, she still spoke defensively. "He could've belonged to any number of tribes. My kind may be close but we have enemies within our own."
