I've never gotten into Xanth... but I absolutely love all seven Incarnations of Immortality... his take on Death, Good, and Evil, in my opinion, were pretty interesting.
I haven't read Split Infinity though.
Other stuff? Wink? What was the wink for?

Well... *most* people I know know him from Xanth... and the first wink was for "the trilogy that never ends", Xanth. (I suspect Jaft would rather enjoy Xanth, for the whole series is PUNS Never-ending PUNS with a little story thrown in for good measure). And it's a "trilogy" of twenty-some-odd books now (though I believe he's FINALLY stopped referring to them as a trilogy... hehehehe)
Death and time were my favorites. I really need to re-read those one of these days... mrgreen

I liked the fact that he worked in the maiden/mother/crone aspects of nature, too. (Wow, I really do need to re-read those... And wouldn't you love clouds for clothes? It'd be like wearing nothing at all! ^_^)
