EienKage I wouldn't have decided to try and get someone else if you hadn't dropped out, because there would be no need, Celes. gonk I gave one push, and immediately you folded and walked away. I wasn't going to press it if you were so sensitive about your character, and I'm still against recurring characters. I mean, s**t, if you hadn't told me, I would never have known. EDIT: And so does everything fall out from underneath me, because I wanted some level of synchronicity. Wow. The guild and RP die before they've even begun. I think that's a new record for me. Eien, it's because I work far too hard and spend far too much time on character development. My characters are my own and not someone elses. If you read the bottom half of my previous post you'll understand why I do not make happy back stories. Also, I tried to make things work with the class I had chosen, it seemed to fit to me. However, you didn't want to acceot anything. It seems to me you are not willing for any flexibility in this. I'm sorry, but I have an expansive imaginiation that just so happens to be qute morbid. I'm not going to be a part of something where I can't express my ideas for fear of them being rejected. I just can't. I'm rejected enough in my real life thanks, I don't need it in things that are optional. Technically, life is optional and I could kill myself. I would have done that long ago if I wasn't worried about leaving my mess of a life for everyone else to clean up and having them hate me anymore. THat is honestly one of the main reasons I'm still alive. MY characters are my own, my life is my own, and my imaginiation and ideas are my own. I'm not allowing someone else to tell me what to o with them. [/rant]

Indigo Project It has to do with the "handful of marbels" analogy for RPGs. If your hold is too loose, then all the marbles just fall out. If your grip is too tight, then nothing happens. You need to find middle ground where there is an obvious structure, but room for people to play. You, my friend, are gripping your marbles just a little too tightly. You're obviously right, Indy. Problem is, the consistancy is different for every group. And for people who don't want any hold on them at all, this becomes quite difficult. I know I haven't built up enough rapport with you guys. It's painfully clear now. It doesn't matter how much time I put in, or how much I put Lin through, it's still not going to pan out if you guys won't follow me. Again, as I said: New Record.

It has nothing to do with rapport. it has everything to do with running a game vs. leading us through a story. By basicly telling us what to do step-by-step and not giving us free will, you take any fun out of the game. I understand better than you know.
