Indigo Project EienKage Indigo Project It has to do with the "handful of marbels" analogy for RPGs. If your hold is too loose, then all the marbles just fall out. If your grip is too tight, then nothing happens. You need to find middle ground where there is an obvious structure, but room for people to play. You, my friend, are gripping your marbles just a little too tightly. You're obviously right, Indy. Problem is, the consistancy is different for every group. And for people who don't want any hold on them at all, this becomes quite difficult. I know I haven't built up enough rapport with you guys. It's painfully clear now. It doesn't matter how much time I put in, or how much I put Lin through, it's still not going to pan out if you guys won't follow me. You're not getting it. It has nothing to do with rapport. it has everything to do with running a game vs. leading us through a story. By basicly telling us what to do step-by-step and not giving us free will, you take any fun out of the game. I understand better than you know. Eien, Indy is right. A roleplay isn't about following what one person wants. A roleplay is interacting with every character the way the creator intends that character to act and creating a story with everyone, not just what a single person has in mind. It's no fun otherwise. By the way, most characters aren't static. Most characters change as the plot progresses. In every other roleplay of mine Kanna doesn't remain closed off and distant to everyone. Eventually she will open up to others and accept them, hell on one occasion she even fell in love because it felt like that was where the story line was heading and based upon the actions of other characters and her personality, it seemed right. A roleplay is about everyone, not just the creator.

A roleplay is about everyone, not just the creator. I was trying to do the set-up, it's not the actual RP. And we hit a bottleneck, and everything broke. I'm doing everything I can to not go off. Seriously. I'm trying to be as nice as I can, without cracking; either to rave and scream and rant or just go in the corner and cry myself to sleep. s**t.And I want to do something to lighten the mood but anything I could just rings hollow.

Eien, do you honestly think you're the only one in that position? Ask Silver, I'm a ******** wreck over this. I'm fully aware that this is my fault and I'm beating myself up over. Fact of the matter is, everything I say is true about me. Perhaps what you've done is different, however what I say comes from my experiences. Trust me, I'm a damn wreck over this entire god damned thing.

Yes, I did have the pride to believe so. gonk I didn't think it'd kill you to play a happy character, but I see I was hardly further from the truth.
