As they flew along Tarenoth spotted a potential disaster about to strike and called out towards the brown. 'Dip to the left quickly!'[i/] Since giving a command would likely render a quick response instead of saying lookout. They didn't want any dragon/dragon disasters going on during their watch, at least not if they could help it.

The breather was welcome, Vishnuth nursing his swollen tongue while his rider gently chastised him. The wind allowed the pair to coast for a bit, saving valuable energy.

She was so tired, and these winds were so mean. G'lin did his best to ease Neiveth's mind, but she was so small and she really was jealous of all these big strong boys who were having an easier time of it!
Especially when another sharp gust of wind caught her, sending her rolling into a clump of thread. She at least cared enough to blink between to keep from it eating her up.

The other members of the Wing were in excellent form, flaming clumps of Thread as if it were child's play. Vishnuth welcomed the respite.

It felt like they were taking quite a few hits, but Dormith was a beast of a dragon (not that...other dragons...nevermind!!!) and continued to roll with the punches. A rather large clump of thread was falling quickly, and the bronze dove after it, flaming it before it could escape the middle altitude. Hmmph!

Ahlalei was still fuming about their close call and Kalikath was focusing on flaming thread rather pointedly in her direction. So neither of them noticed the club coming up below them before it was too late. Even as he hopped between it hit his tail. Kalikath hissed as he came out of between. Do you see why you have to pay attention? That could have been much worse.
Round 2, roll 7: You're so focused on flaming Thread that you miss a clump of thread blows up on the wind -- beneath you! If a brown or bronze, your heavier size does cause your tail to get caught! [+1 Between Accuracy & Minor Damage - 2 HP!]

Vishnuth thought himself ready for the next wave, when a sudden gust of wind blew a clump of Thread directly into the pair. Anandi shrieked as the pair blinked Between in a moment's breath, the harsh freeze killing the Thread before it bored too deeply into them. Both dragon and rider were terribly wounded and it was then that Vishnuth began to turn around. The pair was headed back to the Weyr, unable to continue. Anandi was slumped in the straps, but alive.

Running a hand over his dragon's shoulders, D'ast took a deep breath and sent him a calming thought or two, trying to pull him back from the edge of his rage and heartache so they could focus. It wouldn't do any good to have them get wounded because they were careless in the face of such a loss, for Aly and Tarmath weren't truly gone.
Taking a deep breath and steeling himself against the rage within him, Zetigeth sent out another roar to his wingmates, hoping to rally them as he was himself.

Diving after a clump of thread, the winds suddenly changed, blowing it back at the rider and dragon! Cordrath hissed, twisting to between before popping back out again.
The surface of M'nr's riding pants had been partially burned away and a small mark left across the bronze's neck but neither of the pair seemed too much worse for wear.
