MuadDib Atredies MMMM. Jimmy, I've got a question for you... how would you put an image right in the center of the page? would you have to do it manually, or is there a quick way to align it both horizontally and vertically? Waku might be a better person to ask, but arn't they just valign and halign tags? then you have to figure out how big the page is and devide that number in half. It might be easier in that case to use percentages instead of pixels, that way it'll always be smack in the center with a 50% no matter the moniter size of screen resoluton. But again, I'm trying to perge my mind of this s**t, so Waku is probably more knowlageable.

Yes, sorry, I was formulating my reply. sweatdrop It made me wonder if you understood that by horizontal I meant <> and not v^. You probably do, but just making sure we're on the same page. Beyond that, you're the web designer here, if you can make it the way they want, aces and thumbs up, if you can get it pretty close, kudos and browny points, and if you can't do it, we'll just make it as good as we can or come up with something more simple.

wakusei Wouldn't work...? Or do you mean down a ways on the page? I think he wants it to be dead center, like smack dab. So you could use a center tag to get it in the middle horizontally, but hes need another tag to do it vertically.

If the manga pages are the exact size or less than the white space in the layout (at least in width anyway)...then horizontal scrolling won't be an issue. Otherwise, I don't know of a way to fix that possible issue. Unless I just change the size of the white space to be wider. Which I could do.
I guess to figure it out, we should ask the artists exactly how big they plan for the pages to be.

Squigwhaaa? gonk
I was trying to host all the images and such on my geocities website, but it SUCKS NOODLES. mad
So, I'm going to bed. I've got the .html file for the main comic page. God bless Photoshop. heart
The horizontal-scrolly problem is gone now, so it's not so bad. If you guys like, I could .zip it up, and upload it somewhere less noodley so you could all take a gander. And perhaps even give me some Paint-redlines? smile

At least one of us is good at math (though, that person is not me) so we can just figure out who to chop off pixels and make it proportionate, right? Maybe I'm crazy...

Yeah, but then the picture could get wonky and possibly hard to read. Cropping could work.
Anyway, it looks like the problem is fixed now....

Nice to know.I'm just trying to do the design, and I'm having to do a little (albeit, more than I know of) HTML to get it to look the way I want. sweatdrop

Mother of pearl Eien! You could have told us that you were doing the page! The subject's only been brought up about fifteen times in the last two pages...
Is it that hard to say "I'm doing the page guys!" really, is it? A little coordination would be nice...
Anyway Waku, I'm sure the codeing of the file is going to be littered with crap, seeing as it wasn't coded as much as it was slaped togeather... That will definatly be a problem in the future... I would rather see the page coded personally, but I'm just a writer.

Geocities is no host of mine. emo But, seriously: I'm just doing my best to tack together a working page that people can look at... I can't do the hosting myself, because I have no reliable host, and I'm not the only one who has say on this! I'm just getting the preliminary draft done. sweatdrop I'll .zip it up, so you guys can see what I've done so far, and give feedback... preferably in PMs, so I can find it again. If you guys want me to make the page, I'll be more than happy to... but I don't know CSS, or HTML, or PHP, or XHTML, or any of those other coding languages. I'll look up all the tutorials I can if I'm to be the pagemaker, but it'll take a goodly while for it to be done. sweatdrop EDIT: Site design. Once you do the usual thing you do with zips, open up "index.html" in whatever web-browser you use. Hope that works out... I'm off to bed. sweatdrop
