Ophelia looked a bit dissappointed, if completely unsurprised. "You're the same person, Kaistern. You're still my husband no matter which side you decide to show, like it or not." she corrected him, reaching over to grab Kaistern's left hand, revealing that she still wore her wedding ring even now. "If you don't believe it's me, what shall I do to change that? Shall I show you the last note you wrote me? Recite by memory our wedding night? Rant endlessly about my guns again?" The last bit, admittably, was a small joke at her expense more than anything.

"No, you married the demon with a heart of gold. I'm the jackass he wanted out of his head." Kaistern said pulling his hand away, though it too stole wore his wedding ring. "Fate kicked his a** so hard he's in denial. He couldn't deal with all the s**t hitting the fan and he needed a place away from his personal hell to sort out his thoughts." he said leaning back in his chair and folding his arms. "I'm his coping mechanism. Let him cope. He'll get his s**t together eventually and he'll be back with his fancy prancy 'forsooths' and 'yon maidens' before you know it."

"You don't need to carry every burden you hold alone." Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Ophelia stood and leaned over so she could kiss Kaistern's forhead. "If neither of you want to talk to me, that's fine. Just don't tell me that there isn't anything I can do to help you along the way." Once she sat back down, she continued, "I have plenty of money, a private and luxurious space to relax if you need it, and I have several plans for revenge against those that wronged us. If I can't provide any sort of emotional relief, I'll at least provide that."

"If anyone knows his mental state, it's me. He'll come back when he's ready, so lay off the smoochie, sappy stuff. I'm wearing his ring but I'm not your husband. I can, however, speak for us both when I say I'll take up those revenge schemes."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Kaistern." In other words, no matter how much he denied it Ophelia wasn't about to believe the 'I am not your husband' bit from other!Kaistern. She then went on to explain how she'd invested in several businesses while she was still Queen, guaranteeing a steady flow of coin for her every venture. She talked of how she had a good portion of the media bought out, spreading the reputation of her guild while slowly discrediting the other mercenary guilds - sometimes even the current royal family itself. She talked of how she had a few friends hiding within the court, sabotaging the current king's efforts from within. She also talked of the real purpose of the guild, which was to build an army to attempt her coup once they'd built enough influence within the city to do so. "Money really does help a long way, doesn't it? I'm glad I spent so much time saving up..."

Kaistern rubbed the bridge of his nose. "That sounds all well and good, but I'm putting my foot down now, because things are bound to get confusing at some point if we both go by Kaistern..." he leaned back in his chair, folding his hands behind his head and putting his feet back up while he stared up at the ceiling in thought. "Besides, if I'm going to be sticking around for a while, I might as well have a little individuality."

"If you so insist." Ophelia was a little annoyed that dark!Kaistern was so insistant on pretending to be a different person, but she couldn't honestly say she was surprised all that much. She'd still ocassionally kiss him, flirt, and tease as she so wished. She'd play along for now, but nothing was going to change in her eyes no matter how much he might wish it. "What shall I call you, then?"

"...Balthazar." he said finally before sitting up straight once more. "Now that formalities are out of the way, does Her Royal Highness need anything else? I can only assume you were expecting a more touching reunion than this, so no, hugs and kisses are not viable options."

"You to pull that stick from your a**, but I guess that's off the table." Ophelia joked, still able to form a playful smile even despite the circumstances. "One, I'd like to ask that you don't mention anything about me to anyone unless I say otherwise. You're smarter than you behave, so I'm sure you can guess why." She then looked over towards her bed. "Two, assuming you can avoid getting caught, you can sleep in here if you'd like. I don't mind sharing a bed, and surely it's far more comfortable than any of the beds in the upper dorms. I won't try to sex you up unless you make the first move. Though you should tell me ahead of time if you plan on takin me up on my offer, so we can avoid any potential akwardness that could come up." In other words, she normally slept in the nude and wanted to know when to don a nightgown or something if Balthazar decided he'd preffer to bunk with her versus sleeping alone in the less comfortable beds upstairs.

Balthazar smirked. "You sure? Same body, different mind, I can't say if sleeping with me would count as cheating or not." he joked as he stood up from his seat and made a zipper motion across his lips. "None the less, my lips are sealed and I'll probably take you up on that offer. Gods know I've been without a taste of luxury long enough, I think I can stand having to share."

"Very well." Ophelia looked rather pleased to hear that she wouldn't be sleeping alone, but knowing how Balthazar might respond, she said nothing more on the matter. "You should probably be careful with my big chair, and avoid touching the buttons on the arm when you're in here. The chair is connected to the ground, wired in in fact." She didn't want to have to use the escape tunnel she had installed just to go shopping for groceries, after all. "I'm pretty sure you'd rather not have to break the door off in order to leave the room, after all."

"...What." Balthazar just stared back at her in confusion, and a bit of fear as to what said buttons did. "I forgot he married a paranoid lady."

"Being paranoid doesn't guarantee that I'm wrong, though. You should very well know that." Ophelia was constantly getting kidnapped before the coup and before she met Kaistern, she had an abusive despot wannabe for a mother, her entire family was not the trustworthy sort, and of course the coup itself. Of course, Kaistern/Balthazar might not know as much about some of those as he might think. "Besides, being paranoid is what helped give me this head start on our reclaiming of the throne and brutally murdering the ******** that took it from us."

Balthazar laughed. "Suddenly I can't remember why I hated you so much. I can respect a woman who's ready to kick a** with a filthy mouth."

"In a sense, I was weaker then. I still had this hatred in me, but I simply didn't have the confidence to flaunt it like I do now." Ophelia admitted, letting out a small chuckle.
