Manji: *clingclinghug*
Blue: Not much, got a new site to tamper with. New site? Is it the IMVU?
@Manji: Lol, thats pretty funny. I gotta get up at 6 to get ready for school tomorrow. :/
aww =/ that sucks.
but yeah, it is kinda funny. the clothing company UT is suing has this shirt that has UT's longhorn logo with its horns saw off and falling to the floor with the caption "saw 'em off" (this is the best logo i can give you along with the site listed):
http://www.sawemoff.com/so they're suing that little homegrown clothing company because their logo "could cause confusion between UT fans, and cause them to buy this product instead of their own". First off, that's kinda saying something. It should be fairly obvious to the user that they'd be buying clothing that's bashing UT, and the lawsuit is claiming that the UT fans are too stupid to distinguish between what's meant to be for them and what's meant to be AGAINST them!
second, no UT fan would really buy something like that after walking into a shop filled with aggie stuff. if they did, then that just falls under the first part.
to top it all off, the "Saw 'em off" logo has been in use for 10 years BEFORE this lawsuit was brought about, and this lawsuit was created about 10 days after A&M beat UT in a game of football during the Lone Star Showdown back during Thanksgiving. Not even two full weeks and they come up with this crap?
people that even go to UT think it's completely stupid and pointless. it's only giving them bad publicity.
so the news i got from the TeeVee tells me that a Houston judge, WON'T try the case, and that it'll have to be tried in Austin or something like that. i find it pretty funny because they have to take this lame-assed lawsuit to their own grounds if they even want to win it. that's pretty stupid if ya ask me.
