  Location: Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff try-outs Alice skipped along with Jasper onto the Quidditch pitch. She was so happy to be trying out and with Lexine doing the same it was sure to be fun. Sure she wasn't that great on a broom and she only did it to ensure that Lexine would in fact try-out but she could still have fun with it. "Yes I'm so sorry we're late it was my fault." Alice said a knowing if she had of picked out her clothes the day before they wouldn't have had this problem. They were here now and that was all that matter. Alice took a forum after Jasper and filled it out having to think for a moment about what her other choice would be. Chaser seemed to be a good fit if she didn't get her first pick at least. Handing it in Alice bounced on the spot with excitement she just couldn't contain herself. Now they were getting somewhere. "I have faith tha you will Cora. An' welcome you three, now le's get down to business! Las' year, I will admit, wasn' our best, but I can say I wos mighty proud the way you guys came together in such short time. Tha' said, we're gonna do even better this year! Now onto teams, Yellow Team will be Jarlath, Elsie, Jasper, and Miles an Black Team will be Cora, Chloe, Raph, and me. The two teams are gonna battle it out for the quaffle and try to get past the other's keeper. Beater's please remember tha' you can't aim at the seekers but the other's are fair game. Jess an' Alice, I'm gonna release the snitch an' the first to catch it wins. Ok guys, get to it!" he kicked open the chest and watched the twin bludgers be the first to fly out before he released the snitch and threw up the quaffle. "Iris, I want you to observe for now, I don' want ya up there when you don' really know what you want ta do. So watch us, see if you feel pulled towards a specific position, an' call for me if ya need me." Tobi smiled down at the young first year encouragingly and wondered if that was how small he looked to Heather the first time he had signed up. He swallowed the lump that tried to lodge itself in his throat, it was the first time he had thought about her without outright crying, he was getting better. Location: Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff try-outs Alice was so excited that when Tobi told her what to do she practically leapt from the ground. Watching and waiting for the snitch she wondered if she could even do this... Wait a minute of course she could do this she was doing it now wasn't she? "Good luck Jess! Though something tells me you probably don't need it." she told the older Hufflepuff. She knew she probably would beat her but that didn't mean she wasn't going to try.  Location: Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff try-outs Alright she could do this... Chloe knew that she'd done it the year before. This time she wouldn't have her brother or her cousin worrying her in the stands. It was a feeling she couldn't help but enjoy. She still didn't like heights but so long as she didn't think about it and focused on the task she had while in the air everything seemed to work out for the older girl. Watching as the bludger's and snitch were released Chloe got ready to take off for the quaffle. As soon as Tobi tossed it that's exactly what she did. Hoping to beat Elsie in taking it first although deep down she kind of hoped that the younger girl would beat her. After all Chloe really didn't need this in her last year even if she was trying out again. And they all got the same heartbeat, but hers is falling behind.
Nothing in this world could ever bring them down.

Location: Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff try-outs Alice hadn't found the golden ball yet but she was going to. The determination was written on her face as she searched for the tiny ball. She could do this and when she did she'd write home about it. Granted she'd probably write about just being at try-outs. Alice was sort of like that...  Location: Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff try-outs Jasper listened as he heard what team he was on he’d have to protect Elsie and Jarlath. Looking over at Alice Well seeing as Chloe was had taken the quaffle for the other team he assumed hitting her would be the smart idea. However there was still the risk of Raphael the other team Beater hitting his teammates. It was at that moment that he decided Raph was the better choice. Flying in the path of an incoming bludger Jasper lined himself up and swung at it hoping to hit home, or at least not get hit himself... Status: Happy but worried about Alice With: Fellow teammates Wearing: Uniform OOC: Would it be strange to aim at yourself?

That sounded easy considering it was a one on one unless the first year Iris decided she wanted to go out of Chaser. However she knew the possibility of getting hit by a Beater was pretty high. She secretly hoped not since she managed all last year to go without getting hit. She didn't want to feel it she really did. He looked over and rolled below his broom to dodge the bludger before pulling himself back on to the seat. He chuckled before chasing down the exact bludger aimed his way and returned the shot. Jarlath clapped politely as Tobi announced Corabell as Vice Captain. But his smile faded slightly. If Cora was Vice Captain, and the only one he was against for the Keeper slot. Well it didn't look like he would be playing this year. He nodded at Tobi's directions and jumped onto his broom. "Good luck!" he called out as he flew off.
