Kindeth was still feeling very good! Whatever Dr'stan had done to his face had worked like magic -- neither rider nor dragon felt any pain, though S'del knew that wasn't to last. Something, though, did catch his eye -- and with a roar he called out to the small, delicate Mishaath. To your right, Mishaath! Something short and sweet.
Thankfully, the dragon found that the green did not take the hit, and that was well what was important....Instead, he found a sliver of thread hit his own wings. Though the sail found itself with some new holes, a quick hop Between kept the damage at bay. It hurt but . . .well, he was still feeling really good.

The ever present threat of Thread was right, Ahlalei mused as they chased down more clumps of Thread. It still wasn't as bad as up at the higher altitude. But it was interesting that this altitude had been more dangerous for the pair in their opinions.
Round 2, roll 10: A patch falls down ahead. You dive down, flaming as you go, and both rider and dragon are pleased to watch it turn into harmless ash. This is how it gets done!

With Mishaath out of harm's way, S'del and Kindeth found themselves feeling pretty good. Not only was their green wingmate spared, but the pain from the earlier hit was easy to forget about. They were doing their part, and then some, weren't they? You feeling all right, buddy? S'del asked.
This is what I was born to do. I won't let the Enemy through! Not this time!

He did rather like his rider in one piece - but both knew that they fought for those who were far below them. A little thread to the knee wasn't a big problem.

Her wing had been so very very kind to her. They’d come to her aid time and again, and so when she spotted a chance to help in turn, with quick confirmation from Tyila, she was off. Winking between to rush to their aid—they reappeared to find the clump already ablaze (and a bit too close for comfort!) With a sheepish glance at their apprent hero, who had no doubt spared them a grizzly fate, they added their flame to the battle, reducing the threat to ash.

The downside of being a bronze, particularly of Kindeth's size, meant he was a little too big. The singe of a burn against the bronze's hip caused the dragon to snarl in pain. The dragon took himself Between, before coming out of it with a challenging roar.
Hey now! Watch those stitches. You'll have to tell Dr'stan if you rip 'em....

Swooping after a piece of Thread they'd managed to miss, Hyglath belched out a flame to finish the job, only for a gust of wind to blow the ash from it right back at them. Again?!

Instead of roaring, the dragon instead took off after another clump of Thread. He successfully maneuvered, blowing a thick tongue of fire. The Thread turned into nothing but harmless ash, and the dragon continued on. Nothing could stop them now!

The bronze noticed another wingmate in trouble. Giving another shout, though he couldn't quite make it over to help, he was able to spit an impressive flame. The fire didn't get all the Thread, but it got some, sparing their wingmate from a hit.

Even a trip through their own ash didn't keep them from noticing another missed strand, and Hyglath flamed that one down just as happily as the one before it.

They'd had Thread blown into them, ash blown into them, more Thread and more ash blown into them...this wind was terrible! A great gust of it threatened to blow the pair right out of formation, but Hyglath fought against it and won. Take that, wind!
