 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera looked like she was about to protest, but then she looked up at him. She sighed and looked down, her protest fading away. "Yes......." She whispered, turning her green gaze up at him again. She spoke again, more firmly this time. "Yes. I'll be your queen, when you're the king." She told him with a loving smile.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Thank you, my love." He leant down and kissed her, "That. Was why I was waiting..." he explained, wrapping his arms around her. If he ever found out she was lying to him, there'd be no telling what damage would be done by the heart-broken king.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Wouldn't you?" Aleera asked softly, pulling back to look at Clorogne worriedly. "I know you don't always care about others......." One only had to look at Akila for proof of that. "What makes me so special?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled, the answer obviously pleasing her. She hugged him tighter. "Thank you." She said, leaning up to kiss him lightly. "I will always be here for you." The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled happily, walking alongside Clorogne. She stayed cuddled against his side as they walked. Her eyes had a faraway look as she planned. This new position of power could be exactly what they needed to bring Clorogne down. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Clorogne kissed her cheek, and went to his room, closing the door behind him. As soon as the door was closed, he took a deep breath. He finally said it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera flashed him a smile before disappearing into her own room. She went straight to her desk, whistling for her crow as she did so. She wrote a quick note, tying it to the bird's foot before sending him off to Markus. He had to know about this. That done, she settled at her desk properly and began planning. In her mind, she was planning the various ways to use this to her advantage. On paper though, her plans were much different. They were plans for a coronation/wedding ceremony. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Clorogne flopped down onto his bed, and stared at the ceiling. Oh, What was to come!
Akila sneaked across the hall to tap on Aleera's door, quietly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Come in." Aleera called absently. She rested her chin on one hand, elbow propped on the desk. Her other hand held a pen that she tapped against her mouth as she thought. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila slipped in, leg fully healed, and closed the door behind her, going to sit on the bed, "So what happened? There's a crowd outside."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera sighed and turned in her seat to face Akila. "They're still there? They were starting to get mad, wondering when Clorogne was going to take the throne. I made up some b.s. about him being in mourning over his brother's death and that he would take the throne soon. And I'm certain he's going to make his move soon." She paused, hesitating, then continued. "He asked me to be his queen, said that was why he was waiting - he wanted to ask that." The tiger that should be....isn't....
