((Threaten toy breakage? Sing the Song that Never Ends? *tries to think of more sibling torture*))
"Well, there was plenty of biting for a while, but those things are amazingly....wow." Riley said, remembering the vampire bite-enduced ecstasy.
"Anything to make for a perfectly happy family." Van said with a smile.

{That wouldn't work. We both play compy and xbox. crying As for the song, we'd just break out into a physical scrap.}
Mala grinned once more, not really having much else to say to that.
Marianne's eyes widened slightly as she heard this. She said nothing, and seemed more than anything disturbed by that thought.

((*rubs chin* Hide the Halo game?))
Riley saw the look on his mom's face and quickly tried to fix the damage. "It wasn't totally willing, half the time it was just so she could feed and they don't really hurt, so it's not like I'm a masochist or anything!" he said hurriedly.

Marianne looked just as disturbed, Riley's wording really not helping the situation in the least. {Dad'd get pissed... I'm screwed! D:}

"....I'm not helping am I?" Riley said pausing to sweatdrop. "Changing the subject before this gets anymore awkward, have you found a place to stay yet? Even if Mala would let you, there's no room back home..."

Marianne sighed, feeling as if she failed as a mother all over again. "I've been staying at my old den, beneath the temple.."

((Oh no, I'm sorry!! D: ))
"I'd offer one of the many old buildings around here, but I'm not sure whether or not it'd be an improvement." Riley said scratching the back of his head with a sigh. "Although that's certainly a better use for the temple than before. Atius is actually quite the jackass."

Marianne shrugged. "As are most of the gods, which is part of why our family turned to Hell's Court instead. The results may be s**t, but at least you get results." she said. "Which is much unlike god worship." {Don't be. crying Baaw.}

"I'm sorry you had to leave before, because Mala really learned that the hard way....She was a priestess of Atius for years until Van came along." Riley said, the group being the few to have first hand experience of it all.

"More or less. But like I said, she's not one to stop holding grudges easily, and Van pretty much hates Atius too, so that's just reinforcement right there." Riley said folding his arms, knowing the mutual hatred of Atius wouldn't be going away any time soon. "But she just needed some solid proof the gods are assholes. I think what did it was when she saw the real deal in person. You can't blame a person after seeing Atius is nothing but an assholish tub of lard with a stick up his rear."

Marianne chuckled. "Oh, yes! Even when she was a little child she knew how to hold a grudge! It always took me such a long time to convince her to forgive anybody."

"I'm sure Van'll convince her to forgive you eventually, and it's not like we were left out on the street with no home ever." Riley said with a reassuring smile.

"To be honest, I don't expect anything close to me not being dead to her happening any time soon." Marianne said, offering her son a weak smile. "Thanks anyway, though."

"Try to have a little faith. Van's usually pretty good at bringing her around, and she's bound to be in a good mood once the baby comes." Riley said. The thought had crossed his mind about what their mother would think about Van after knowing about the temporary body possession and previous assholishness.
