Camila humped loudly. Her lips pouted into a stubborn frown as the ball was swiped away from her just as quickly as she had taken it. She ripped on the handle of her broom to change directions. Claire couldn't have gone too far, after all, there was only one keeper on the field. She leaned forward on her broom to pick up speed, a little scuff on the handle distracted her for a moment, she'll need to polish that with her kit when she's done with practice, but first things first, the game. She inched closer and closer until all she had to do was lash out with her hand to try and pull the quaffle free from Claire.

Deeper and deeper I drown. Claire winced as she felt a bludger slam into her leg, "Frig!" She then gasped as the green team chaser tried to swipe the quaffle from her, luckily she managed to beat off the pain and dodge the attempt.
"Come on..." She muttered under her breath, getting closer to the goal. My feelings? I'm focused and in pain you know?

Deeper and deeper I drown. Claire concentrated on the goal in front of her and actually almost jumped some when Daniel came out of nowhere to steal, thankfully she dodged it and taking a deep breath, tossed the quaffle towards the goal with all her might.
"Come on...make it!" She chanted to herself. My feelings? I'm hopeful you know?

Dmitri was happy to take the place as vice-captain, even if it meant their future losses would one day rest on his shoulders. That part, he was not at all happy about. It seemed as though their tryouts were dwindling in size each and every year that passed by. He bristled his shoulders at the though and took his place at the head of the goal posts. It felt odd to be the only keeper on the field. When, finally, one of the chasers lined up a shot, he swept forward impulsively to knock it off its path and into his arms instead.

His fist caught the quaffle easily, punched it upwards into the air and caught it easily as it fell back down in his open hands. He glanced back and forth over the field, eyed the younger players who were eager to set themselves apart from the rest and decidedly tossed the ball to Daniel. If these snakes ever hoped to prove themselves, they'd better start with learning how to steal.

Location: Quidditch Pitch (Try-Outs) Mira smiled as she hit Ashley. Two hits since the start of the game she couldn't complain. She was clearly good at this. At least that's how she saw it. It hardly mattered what anyone else thought. Mira decided to go back to trying her luck on Claire. It would certainly help the team out now wouldn't it? Tyson gulped slightly and jumped on his broom as the try outs began. Flying around he chased after a bludger, while keeping an eye on the game. Mira was the opposing beater, and she seemed decent enough. "Best show her how it goes." he said gently as he swung the bat at a nearby bludger, aiming at the other beater hopeful.

Deeper and deeper I drown. Claire frowned and cursed slightly when her shot to the goal was blocked by Dmitri, that...was unfortunate. Taking a deep breath she jetted to try to get the quaffle, but not before a bludger came out of nowhere and smacked into her arm.
Claire winced as she felt some tears well up from the pain, that...that hurt. Friggin' bludgers were like taking a cannonball constantly! Claire took a breath and tried to block out the pain, she was going to be so bruised later on.
Her throbbing leg and arm were telling her to slow down on flying, but Claire just ignored it, no pain no gain after all. This was quidditch. She was lucky she hadn't gotten hit in the chest yet! My feelings? I'm in pain you know?

Camila nodded her head quickly at the captains quick instruction. She supposed it did make sense, after all. Daniel could have turned right around and tried to score if he hadn't flown to the center of the field to begin his pursuit on the goal posts. No one seemed willing to try and steal from him though. She didn't think too much of it as she tried to fall in formation beside him.

Tyson sent a bludger flying towards her and despite trying to move out of the way, got hit. Smacking into her leg Mira tried not to scream at the pain. Sure missing on hurt but when it hit you because of someone else, it was much worse. Her eyes watered as she pushed past the pain. Squeezing the bat in her hand, Mira tried to hit a bludger towards Tyson hoping to get him back for hitting her. Status: That hurt! Location: Quidditch Pitch (Try-Outs) Despite trying her best Mira couldn't push the pain back enough not to lose concentration. Getting hit by the bludger she intended to hit. Her vision going black for a split second, the next thing she knew she was on the ground. Opening her eyes Mira felt defeated and deeply upset at herself for getting knocked out of the game. 'Good job you idiot... how do you expect to be better at anything if you knock yourself out of the damn game...?' she mentally beat herself up as she hit at the ground. That's when she realized she caused more harm then good as the bludger had probably hit her on that side of her. 'Yeah just keep hurting yourself...' she thought feeling completely humiliated.
