Akila's face mirrored her shock and she leapt forward, "And? What did you do? Will you do it? That puts you in the perfect position to..." she lead off...the perfect position to do ANYTHING! It was just too perfect.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled slightly and nodded. "I said yes. When he becomes king, I'll be queen. You can see as well as I can, all the doors and possibilities this maneuver opens up." She could see Akila was thinking already of all the different things this made possible. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"And what about YOU. You have to marry him, then, right?" Akila asked, as if just realising that the two would be bound together.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera shrugged lightly. "I've survived this long. I'm sure I'll survive this coming storm, whatever happens." She said dismissively, ignoring the fact that she would be expected to loyally stay at Clorogne's side. She also knew she would be expected to provide an heir within the first year. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((That's fine.))
Aleera shrugged lightly. "I do what I have to." She told Akila firmly. "If this is what it takes to get rid of him, then so be it. I'll do it." The tiger that should be....isn't....

"So then, I guess I'll leave you to your preparations." Akila stood and nodded to Aleera before headed to the door.

"Alright. You're always welcome here though, if you ever want to talk or anything." Aleera told her with a smile. That said, she turned back to her plans, sketching and throwing notes all over her pages.

"Thanks Aleera." and Akila headed back to her room to write to Mark, running into Clorogne in the hallway, she straightened up, but not before he gave her a good slap to the head, reminding her he hadn't ACTUALLY changed, "Sorry, Clorogne." she chewed her lip. "What were you doing in Aleera's room, slave?" he sounded angry. Paranoid man. "Sh-she required a foot massage." she looked down. "Well what are you waiting for? Off with you!" and Akila scurried into her room.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera winced at the sounds from the hallway. Though she wanted to help Akila, she knew going out would only make things worse. So she stayed where she was, though she made sure to kick off her sandals to lend credit to Akila's story. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila rubbed her head as she sat at her desk, and clicked her tongue for Zar. Not that she needed him yet, but she enjoyed the bird's company.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Zar skimmed in the window, tucking his wings and rolling before opening them with a flourish. He was obviously in a good mood, showing off for Akila. He gave a quiet caw before coming to perch on her shoulder.
Aleera sighed and leaned back in her chair. She raised her voice, calling out, "Clorogne? Could I get your opinion?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Yes, my dear?" Clorogne stuck his head in, innocently.
Akila laughed, and snatched up the bird, holding him close, "Hey Zar, how ya doin'?" she kissed the top of his head and stroked his feathers.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera smiled lovingly at him and gestured for him to enter. "I'm trying to plan things out and I wanted your opinion." She picked up her papers, rifling through them idly. "You said you were only waiting on my answer before you took the crown, right? So why not do both ceremonies at once? What do you think?"
Zar rubbed his head against her hand, chatting softly to her. He ran his beak through her short hair, preening it. The tiger that should be....isn't....
