Eli nodded at Gypsy, knowing she wouldn't understand. Heck, he was pretty sure his friends were confused by him most days anyway. "Yeah, beater. I figure if I'm going to be joining the house team, I might as well jump in completely and expect for my grey matter to be smeared across the pitch because I missed than have someone else miss and I end up the same way. Makes sense to me, anyway." When she mentioned the layout of the tryouts, he nodded, expecting that he would be shown the ropes. He mounted his broom and got up into the air, deciding to wait for Gypsy and Inigo to follow so they could get started.

Dylan lifted himself up into the air for some practice as he waited for the quaffle to be released, and as soon as it was, he burst forward, grabbing for it, unlike last year, where he just kinda.. sat there.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Iñigo Albion-Alexandré ~~~~~~~~~~~14|Fourth Year|Ravenclaw|Seer "The best way to keep something bad from happening is to see it ahead of time..." Iñigo lifted himself up in there, secretly extremely relieved that they had another kid as beater. They certainly needed a backup because once the year was over, they were pretty much going to be screwed if they didn't have a replacement. Following up after the boy however, he flew up to him. "Hey, man, thanks for coming out. You really are doing us a huge help by showing up," he admitted to the boy, then flying past, readying himself. He went up to the first bludger, attempting to hit it to demonstrate as Gypsy had told him, hoping that he hit it.
He missed...shaking his head, he looked back at Eli. "Okay, there, I swung a tad too early and hooked it. Timing is key," he said to him, admitting his mistake. "and you can't see it if you refuse to face the possibility." Lexine had to admit, she was both sad and a little surprised by the lack of people at tryouts, but it looked like they'd have a full team. However, it was questionable whether they'd have a full team after all the Seventh years left. She frowned. There seemed to be less and less people trying to join Ravenclaw Quidditch every year... Lexine was brought out of her thoughts when Gypsy told her just to go out and 'do her thing'. Lexine nodded slightly; it definitely wouldn't be as fun without a little competition. But hey, at least she'd get a little more practise in -- practise was always a good thing... As soon as Gypsy told them they could go, Lexine began her search for the snitch.
