Poor Riley was forced to stand there in gloom, ashamed of his lack of magical knowledge and his inability to actually go anywhere in his mother's home.

After moments of talking, a surprised yell of "WHAT?! HE CAN'T READ RUNIC?!" came from Milly. She burst through the stone, grabbing onto Riley's arm and dragging him through to the other side.

"Cut me some slack, I'm a fighter not a mage!" Riley said dusting himself off after getting dragged through the wall.

"Son, it doesn't take magic to learn how to read." Marianne said in a flat tone of voice. "If you're willing to learn it, I can teach you how to read Runic. It shouldn't be too hard, after all."

{I gotta go, dinner's ready. Chances are, I might just end up going to bed right after that and not getting back on until tomorrow. I might change my mind about that, but chances are, I won't.}

"How about this then: I never thought I'd need to learn Runic. It's not exactly common after all." Riley said, grudgingly going along with the lessons if only so he didn't need to be escorted around his mom's house.

"Even if it's not, it's most certainly useful. Especially if you want to keep out most unwanted guests." Marianne said, just as Milly was finished and bringing over the tray. Originally she made too much, but now since they had a guest, it was just about enough.

((Ugh, sorry. I thought I'd be home and back online way sooner than this. @_@ English final 'til about 10 AM, then some misunderstanding landed my grandma in the emergency room, which my dad and I spent some three hours getting her out of, then miscellaneous shopping....I didn't get home 'til 6, where I played some gameage, had dinner, watched some tv, leaving me to finally get on for the first time all day at 10 o'clock at night. @_@ ))

"So have you even told her that she's got half siblings?" Riley muttered to Marianne, not wanting Milly to freak out just yet as he joined in the meal.

"Melodia knew even as a child that I had two other children. However, she insisted that she stay with her father during my brief time with you both." Marianne murmured in reply, to where Milly couldn't hear her unless she was really paying close attention. To be honest, Milly wasn't.

((*gets comfy in Snuggie and cuddles up with laptop* At least I managed to get some RPing in today. x3 ))

"I still can't believe we ran into each other and didn't even know it at the time." Riley said with a face/palm. Sure, he wasn't himself at the time, but they still met Milly once before.

Also, I've been stewing over the most retarded idea ever. I was thinking of making a steam-punkish fantasy with the Angels and Devils feuding over the ressurrection of their particular lords/big bosses/whatever.}

"I wonder if that means introductions will not be needed." Marianne muttured, thinking to herself as she began to eat the meal that Milly made.

"I dunno. She didn't seem to recognize Mala, and I may not have been me at the time, but she doesn't seem to recognize me now, and I'd be amazed if she recognized Van." Riley said as he began to eat as well.

((I'm not sure what to make of that, but it certainly sounds cool. biggrin ))

{Thanks. I'm not sure I'll go with it, especially since it was just an idea I was thinking of to shamelessly plug in cameos and stuff. Blah. Also, sorry for my short bit of attention-whoring thar. I'll stop. XD}

Milly sat there, looking horribly confused as she tried and failed to follow along. So she ended up giving up, and working on finishing her plate.

((It's fine. Everyone's got to preach their ideas to someone or other. XD
I'm trying to think of what other plot twists to make use of around here. So far all I can come up with is gender-swapping, body swapping, or random kidification on Van's part. Yeah, I get weird-a** ideas when I get bored.))

"Somehow, that really doesn't surprise me...At all." Riley said. "Although you realize that as the parental until, you get to be the one to break this to her at some point, right?"

{Thanks for understanding. As for the Rp itself, I was thinking of using it as an excuse to use Ariae as one of those "evil heroes" or something - I also planned on giving her a son and going into more detail on the demonic and angelic worlds or something. (Her son would've been an androgynous fassionable gunslinger with a mother complex and long blond hair. I know, I'm wierd as hell.)

As for this RP, we could timeskip to a few years in the future if we can't think of anything altogether. I was also thinking that somehow, Ariae and Jaquel should figure out who the other actually is - which could lead to a scrap between the two or something.}
