Demanthra and Monath will be flying first wave

(at healers)
Demanthra had healers come over and begin looking at Monath's wings. She knew they had taken a bit of a beating. As they came and worked on the green, she heard the other snarl at how rough they were being. Demanthra knew they were just doing their job, but the eyes of her dragon were a bright red at the moment.

Watch what you are doing!she growled.

Easy Monath love, they are doing what they can. Just be patient with them please, okay? Do it for me,she soothed, rubbing her head.

Round 2, Part 1 (Weyrling Wing)
+10 for Weyrleader speech (only needed 2 to get back up to 14, minus three was nullified by Weyrlingmaster)
1) 12. You've been fighting for some time now, but your dragon seems to be feeling fine. This is what they were meant to be doing -- flying, and taking down The Enemy! Tired, who's tired? Certainly not them! +1 General Stamina

2) 13. Are you feeling lucky? Well you should! Free reply! Respond to this post with any action pertaining to Threadfall, and gain a little luck. [+1 Luck]

3) 8. There's a patch of Thread that has your name on it. You dive towards it, and aim to flame it down. Unfortunately, your dragon and you weren't paying any mind to the direction the wind was blowing! If white, green, or blue, you are successfully able to weave out of the way. +2 General Agility If this is your third time or more rolling this as a white, green, or blue, you run out of luck and fly right into the ash cloud and remaining Thread. Moderate Damage: -7 HP If brown, bronze, or gold you're not able to get out of the way. Not only do you hit the remains of Thread, but the burning ash, and char. Ouch! Moderate Damage: -7 HP First time rolled, so no damage

4) 11. Oh crap. Your dragon sees a sliver of Thread and hastily flies to catch it. Unfortunately, their aim is off, and you watch in despair as the silver tangles drifts past, only to tangle with your dragons outstretched wing. Fardles. Minor Damage: - 2 HP

5) 11. Oh crap. Your dragon sees a sliver of Thread and hastily flies to catch it. Unfortunately, their aim is off, and you watch in despair as the silver tangles drifts past, only to tangle with your dragons outstretched wing. Fardles. Minor Damage: - 2 HP

Round 2, Part 2 (Weyrling Wing)
1) 5. You've got a moment to focus and breathe. You glance up at the higher wings, considering what it might be like when you get tapped into an actual fighting Wing. More action, sure, but a lot more opportunity for harm. Mph. No. Focus. Right now, you have to focus!

2) 2. As your dragon weaves to catch Thread, you're thrown hard against your riding straps. They stop you from falling of your dragon, and you're grateful that V'mel had you spend all that time making them! Unfortunately, once your dragon straightens out, you realize they might be a little loose. Whoops. Better tighten those up! If this is your 5th time rolling this you feel the leather actually tear on an important support strap! Oh no! You can't fight Thread like this!! You notify V'mel and immediately return to the Weyr to get your spare straps. You know you're trouble.... what an amateur mistake! Lose Your Remaining Round Rolls! Your weyrling is out for the rest of this Round as they take care of a strap emergency. They can come back when the next Round is declared. First time for them, thankfully.

3) 14. Your dragon tries to pull off a rather elegant maneuver to avoid a tangle of Thread, but banks too sharply. There's a sharp pain as something pulls... Ouch! Moderate Damage: -3 HP

4) (at healers) 5. 5-7. The healer looks at your wound and starts trying to patch you up. They're not being particularly gentle on you, but you can tell they're quite invested in making sure your wound (or your dragons) heals right! Unfortunately, that's going to take some time. Return Request Denied! Regain +5 HP but re-roll from the Healers Grid! You still haven't been given clearance to return!

The thread up here is pretty bad, try your best to avoid it, okay?Ash'il spoke to his dragon.

No arguments from me, Mine. Already sore from the last batch,he answered back. Unfortunately, if they were hoping to keep any other thread away, they were mistaken. Before they could flame more away, some of it hit Ash'il's right leg and Iptoneth's shoulder. Iptoneth quickly gets them between, where dual screams of pain would be just for them. It burned both of them, but they waited, before coming back. Ash'il made sure to brush the frozen Thread off.

Round 2, Part 1 (High Alt)
+10 from Weyrleader speech (only need three of it to get back up to 42)
1) 20. Your dragon asks for a few more pieces of firestone to chew. Unfortunately, they wind up chomping down on their tongue instead of their stone! This is going to distract your dragon for the next two rolls. [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 2 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. Should you roll a prompt with the possibility of damage, take the max damage allotted for your size/color automatically but it will also end the Tongue Bitten Effect immediately.]

2) 17. As you fly, you find that you're getting into a heavier patch of Thread ahead. You've got a bad feeling about this.... You warn one of your wingmates to let a patch go! Thankfully, they listen, and sure enough, the wind changes! It would have blown the pair right into the patch. As it stands, the wind blows the Thread back, and your wingmate are able to flame it down without injury. [+2 Instinct] Negated by tongue bite

3) 6. As you're flying, the wind picks up again, trying to knock you out of formation

-If 36'-46', you're able to fight the wind with relative ease. Unfortunately, the nearby Threadfall gets blown into your side and haunches -- and you were too big to move out of the way. Ouch! Moderate Damage -8 HP

4) 19. Ouch! You had successfully flamed Thread but the gust push the ash back into you as you fly! The hot ash cloud burns as you fly through it, but you're made of tougher stuff than that! The focus is Thread, not pain! [+2 Pain Resilience]

5) 5. The air is thick with Thread. It's at its heaviest up here, and you are literally surrounded by silver tendrils. You roar defiance before spitting forth a great flame, scorching the deadly threads before you with ease. Flame Length +1

4) 8. You take a direct hit from Thread! The question is, where!? Roll a D4
3- The Threadfall hits your leg and your dragon's shoulder! It burns in deep, but your cries of pain can't be heard in the cold of Between. Moderate Damage: -6 HP

Ashlyn and Gyafrith will be flying first wave

We managed to make it back for the last little bit,Gyafrith announced to Gareth and Zetigeth as they returned to the fight. They knew their time was almost up, but it felt good for them both to come back even a little. Gyafrith began getting right to work, flaming down any Thread that came near them. Unfortunately, the wind that had been their enemy this whole time, blew them right into the ash cloud. It stung, but they knew the Thread was gone.

Well, least it isn't bad enough to go down without the rest of the first wave,Ashlyn commented, getting a laugh from her blue that filled her head. They would chalk that up as a definite win, along with getting Thread before they left the skies for the time being.

Round 2, Part 1 (Mid Alt)
+10HP from Weyrleader speech
1) 2. As you're flaming down some Thread, a gust of wind suddenly pushes the remaining cloud back at you and your dragon. You've no choice but to blink Between to avoid it, and appear higher up, missing the clump. The rest of the thread falls down towards the lower altitude. [+1 Between Accuracy]

2) 20. You appear from Between and find the space you were hoping would be clear now has a large sheet of Thread being guested towards it. You've only a moment to decide where to go, and both you and your dragon pick a spot and hop Between in an attempt to avoid Thread. Roll a D4 and take whatever damage or XP you're given!
4- You not only manage to blink out of danger, but you blink back again, flame half of the clump, and blink away again only to appear a safe distance away. It's an impressive display of thread fighting power! Good job! Word will be going around the lower caverns tonight! +2 Extra Between Accuracy

3) 3. Flaming down Thread, you find yourself getting blown right into the cloud of ash! It stings and burns, but you're pretty sure no Thread was alive in the cloud. [If a green, or blue take Moderate Damage -5HP but gain +2 Pain Resistance.]

1- 1: You critically fail! You either appear between directly in the clump of Thread and take Major Damage for -8 HP =or= you could wind up getting lost Between, and die, having not properly visualized where to jump. Death -- optional. Taking the damage

5) 16. The wind is fierce and fighting you. Greens, and blues will struggle against it, trying valiantly to keep in formation! [+1 Stamina] Browns and Bronzes can feel the strain, but it's nothing they can't seem to handle. [+3 Stamina]

Round 2, Part 2 (mid alt)
1) 18. Thread falls, and a sneaky strand winds up chewing on your wingsail. You pop Between to ease the pain, and come out flaming. It hurts, but it's small tubers compared to what it could have been! +1 Pain Resilience]

2) 3. Flaming down Thread, you find yourself getting blown right into the cloud of ash! It stings and burns, but you're pretty sure no Thread was alive in the cloud. [If a green, or blue take Moderate Damage -5HP but gain +2 Pain Resistance.] [If a brown or bronze, take Minor Damage -2 Damage but gain +1 Pain Resistance.]

3) (at healers) 6.

4) (at healers) 9. 9-10. You're in luck! The wound isn't as bad as first feared. They're able to see to you almost immediately, and are able to quickly get you patched up and on your way. The Weyrhealers are effective and quite efficient! You May Return to Your Wing! Full HP Returned if White! +20 HP for Greens! +25 HP for Blues! +30 HP for Browns! +35 HP for Bronzes and Golds! Status Effect Removed!

5) 3. Flaming down Thread, you find yourself getting blown right into the cloud of ash! It stings and burns, but you're pretty sure no Thread was alive in the cloud. [If a green, or blue take Moderate Damage -5HP but gain +2 Pain Resistance.]

Demanthra and Monath will be flying first wave

(at healers, since this is last roll, will do so, then just say she knows she doesn't have time to return)

Demanthra could see that they were shaking their heads as they looked over Monath's wings.

"Is she going to be alright? Will she still be able to fly?"she questioned. They
said it was something that may take some rest when they got a chance, but she should still be able to. A sigh of relief came from her and knowing that their shift was almost over, decided they would just stay here to give Monath's wings some rest. That way, they would be ready for action when the next Threadfall came.

If it will make you feel better, than that is what we will do, Mine. I do not want to make you worry more than you need. Worries about your mother are enough, you don't need to add me to them. Next Threadfall, I am going to make it pay!she replied softly the first part, before hmmphing the second.

I don't doubt it, my beautiful Moon. And by the time we got up there, we would just have to come back down. Just make sure Master V'mel knows for sure, please,Demanthra suggested, which earned her an affectionate nuzzle.

Aviroth, Mine wanted to make sure you and Your's knew that since it is close to the end of our shift, we will stay here. Mine said it allows my wing to get some rest, so we will be ready next time. Plus, put her mind at ease about her mother,Monath thought up to the brown. Once done and the healers had patched them up, the two headed over to where Demanthra's mother was.

"Mama?"she called out gently when they got there, trying to stay out of the way of the healers.

Iptoneth, watch out, another clump of Thread,Ash'il thought to his bronze. Iptoneth betweened immediately, to avoid it, not wanting to chance being caught in that. They had a destination in mind and reappeared in that spot. Unfortunately, they didn't realize the wind had blown a sheet of Thread right there. They popped back into the middle of it and the pain was excruciating. They had been lucky the last time this had happened, but this time the pain had finally gotten to Ash'il. They had managed to between, but when they got back, the bronze rider was barely conscious.

Head..is fuzzy..old friend,he thought to him. Iptoneth would have betweened them to the Weyr, but the pain racking his body was too much. He felt himself beginning to fall, his rider's straps thankfully keeping him in.

If one of you ladies would be so kind, my rider and I need help,he thought out to the queens below them.

Fianth couldn't believe her rider was thinking about him! Of all the time and places to be bringing up that particular man... No, the queen simply wouldn't have it! Her eyes whirled red, and the usually docile queen took a sharp angle to catch a particularly nasty clump of Thread.

Olliah heaved a small sigh. She knew her queen did not approve. Remember, you used to favor his bronze, you know.

No need to remind me. We were both young. Now can we please think about Thread? Or at least the far superior, far handsome, far fiercer Krahsujunth?

With a hiss of pain, and a creel of alarm, the pale gold hurriedly jumped to the safetly of Between.

By the time they returned, the Thread was well froze. While she was relatively all right -- her gear kept the worst of the score off -- she could tell Fianth had taken a few hits on her own arm and shoulder. You all right, love?

The queen gave an assuring croon. Quite fine.

Kinitarth feels on top of the world, sharp and watchful near the end of his wave. There's three clumps drifting down that catch his eye, and with a burst of speed the blue charges forward. He shoots down two of the three clumps with carefully aimed fore, before curling around to shoot down the third.

Unfortunately, that burst of speed Sam'kel hadn't expected, sending him into a fit of coughing that he had to brace himself against their riding straps.

Are you sure you do not wish for healing attention? Kinitarth's voice, already worry-soaked, was near in a new range from anxiety.

"I'm fine. We're almost done, I'll get treated then."

I'll make sure of it.

Quote a Wingmate who took damage to Nullify Damage

The speedy blue was having a very good Theadfall! H'sad couldn't be happier at how his blue was performing, and was certain they would get through the rest of Fall without issue.

"Not long now, buddy!" H'sad crowed with pleasure as the blue took down a small patch, weaving out of the way of the cloud. When Cinonth and he were on point, there was nothing they couldn't do.

Crunch, crunch. Not too much longer, and for the best as their firestone stock is getting quite low. But weariness is starting to set in both their bones. But the idle tricking of thread doesnt fall to Kinitarth's blind spot, and this one heading straight for Mnereth! Watch out Mnereth!

With a protective snarl, Kinitarth shoots a bright fire up, burning the clump to ash before it could score and damage. Got your back!

Negate that damage and status ;D

C'lusi had been watching he fight a bit worriedly. While he was anxious to be up with his fellow weyrlings, while he wanted nothing more than to be up there doing something, he also realized the longer he stayed in the Bowl, the more ugly this Fall began to look. Riders kept coming back, bloodied, their dragons covered in ichor... He watched as healers rushed back and forth, saving lives where they could.

And even a queen had come back with a terribly scored green and her rider.

He stood next to Macuith, their usual good cheer a bit dampened by the sight.

Ah, but suddenly, the small depressive wave brightened considerably. C'lusi only had to touch their link to know what had brightened his blue's mood -- and it was Menankith! . . . .but wait. What was the weyrling doing down here? The only reason they were here was if -- oh no, they must have been hurt! C'lusi felt a grip of fear, even as Macuith happily chattered back.

Menankith! What an excellent surprise! Are you terribly wounded, my handsome friend? The blue cheeped, immediately making his way through the Bowl so he might get a better look at the ruddy brown dragon. C'lusi, of course, now wanted to make sure that Nadry was all right.

"Nadry!" He called out when they approached, immediatley looking for something out of place, something bloodied, something missing. "Are you guys okay!? What's going on?" His worry was sincere, his brows knit, his face strangely serious.

Macuith was less worried -- surely, if Menankith was in severe pain, or badly hurt, he wouldn't be carrying on so nice a conversation. I am certain a strong brown like you can easily defeat that wind! Did you see Aresoth? I did -- his rider went bolting to the Barracks. How interesting. I've already heard some gossip about that.... The blue had wanted to ask Aresoth if he was well, but hadn't wanted to interrupt The Love Wherries.

Everyone always wanted to check in on Cynosuth -- even when she wasn't in any immediate danger. Hmph. Macuith couldn't help but be a little jealous of the pretty green - -her clutchsibs practically threw themselves at her feet. To command such attention, and to not even be aware of it....sigh. Well. He could have that too if he wanted -- but he didn't need it. Nope. There was no crime in letting others get the limelight.... at least, that's what the blue had to keep telling himself and his ego.

See? He was generous.

Even with a little thread damage, Aurinkoth seemed still raring to go. Ichta stroked his neck encouragingly as he flamed any clump of thread that was in reach. However, when a clump of ash landed on his wing-shoulder, her sudden alarm at it still wiggling sent both rider and dragon between for just a moment.

But man, that had HURT!

There's thoughts of finally touching down, finally resting that have them both just a touch eager tk get out of the skies. There's still major worry for Siloth, and it's a great effort to not outright keen as the minutes tick on. He had to be alright. Surely.

Yet a flash of silver catches his eye once more, and Kinitarth whips around to sear it to crisps.

"Good job," The rest of Sam'kel's train of thought is cut off by a bout of coughing that makes Kinitarth creel softly.
