{Good point. We should probably have that settled before we go on to a timeskip, if we end up doing that. Also, I just remembered that Ariae has yet to learn Jaquel's name. XD}
Marianne laughed. "Very well. I'll tell her in exactly a week, since her birthday is then. Knowing her, though, I doubt she remembers it."

"So much for Riley staying here." Van said looking out the window as he made dinner for him and Mala (lest she fret about her poor cooking skills again). It was starting to get dark out.

Once she was finished, Milly stood up and went to clean her plate. "I should probably get going soon, or daddy might get the wrong idea and think I ran away again."

"Wait, Jaquel actually cares?" Riley said in amazement that the pervert demon actually gave a damn about a child he probably didn't even want.

Mala stuck her tongue out at Van in a childish yet playful manner before she said, "Eh, I was close enough."
"Apparently, but half of the time he has a funny way of showing it." Milly grumbled to herself as she headed towards the wall with the rune etched into it. "Well, I'll see you both later~ Bye!" she then said out loud in a more cheerful manner as she headed off.
After Milly left Marianne said, "I know the feeling. But we really shouldn't mention it in front of her. She's pretty much the only person who hasn't given up on him already."

Mala took a bite out of her food once she had it before she responded, "Oh? And I suppose that very same Trouser God wants to prove a point?"
