The bird proctoring the match split into two and flew in front of each fighter. The peice of paper they turned into was inscribed with the words

"in light of the fact that the both of you have done superbly I am decreeing that you both pass this round. This happened in my chuunin exams, so if the head proctor says anything wrong you can blame it on me" followed by a smiley face.
