"I shall bite my tongue." Elohari would speak truthfully, deciding best to keep her tongue from moving on the phrase Nova had spoken. Elohari wasn't the type for confrontation, with two different idea points, both leading nowhere, sometimes it was best to simply let it go. Elohari was the type to express concern, or any emotion on command. She didn't fear the judgement given by others, but her lips remained sealed with a small smile, allowing Gannon to speak on her behalf. She'd give a soft nod. "We bit you farewell Professor Lovefield." Elohari graced her presence with a soft bow before Gannon and herself excuesed themselves to her classroom.

[exit to just outside classroom]

Wishlist walking, Gannon spoke up once more. He'd clear his throat, Elohari glanced up to see a blushing man, a small smile spread into her cheeks. "I told you, I quite like your forwardness." Elohari smirked, a twinkle in her eyes. Of course she wouldn't be upset, his words were not harsh and left no lingering feeling besides happiness with his honesty. "Honesty is hard to come by, Vhenan, I duly appreciate it." Her smirk turned into a soft smile once more.

The two were fast approaching her office, and soon the two had to depart. Stopping just short of her down, Gannon turned toward Elohari, her head tilting to the side slightly, hair cascading down the leaning side. Her hand that wrapped around his arm slid down to grip the males hand, her free one moving to grip his other hand, linked together, hand in hand now. "You are getting better with my dialect." Elohari smiled sweetly at the male, bringing his hands up to her lips and pressing a soft, reassuring kiss to each. "I do hope you seek me out." And with that, the two bides each other farewell.

Vikraahm would casually make his way through the academy, in no particular rush to actually reach the courtyard given his excuse was that there should have been prior notice. The strange girl who could not open the door, as well as several others who arrived after he did, could all be seen accelerating to their destination at a faster rate than he. He did not care. He would not be rushed there by the fact the crowd seemed to be. Instead, he tried to enjoy his leisurely stroll to the courtyard, following in the wake of the others. It provided him a straight and clear path, as students going to other classes were temporarily avoiding that section of the hall in case others would come barreling down that path. Still, even at his pace it did not take him too long to reach the courtyard, seeing faces he was both familiar and unfamiliar with. He would have spent more time studying the individuals today, as many seemed to be affected by the cold yet he felt little affected by it, but his focus was distracted by parchment flying across the area. He was confused to the purpose of this, though he faintly recalled hearing the word Go yelled.

A paper blew nearby him, slightly out of his reach as the others were more spread about the courtyard. Looking to the instructor, he saw her bag was opened and seemed to be fairly empty from his perspective. He was slightly confused at the implication. 'Did she purposely do this? For what reason though...' He quietly contemplated to himself. Perhaps she just wanted to be rid of it and thought it would be an appropriate means. However, he did see the girl who could not open a door holding one, which made him consider the possibility of needing to gather them, for she may have simply lost them on accident. Regardless, he would reach over his shoulder, careful to avoid the side Shinshi was on, and opened the top of his gourd. Shinshi remained hidden beneath his scarf for warmth. Vikraahms eyes would travel all around him, looking for which paper was nearest him. He noticed one flying particularly close to the building, and decided that would be his target, conincidentally being the one he had noticed near him earlier. He would walk closer to the building, and stop, focusing on the water in the gourd, taking minimal effort to freeze it into a usable form. Once done, he would focus on having it creep out of his gourd and scale the wall, using it as a solid surface. Once it reached the approximate height of a sheet of paper flying nearby, it would consolidate, and then very quickly spear forward to catch the paper. The ice pierced through a small segment of the page, and then flowed thinly through the small hole before consolidating into a small ball on the other side, ensuring it remained attached. Once that was done, he would have the ice retract with the paper in tow, and bring it back down to him. He would study the paper, finding nothing of real significance to it. 'How pointless.' He thought to himself. He saw others flowing about, but he did not know if he had to get anymore, so he would pause in his action to study the others.

Tala wasn't sure how long he'd laid there - he knew he'd closed his eyes and drifted off for a little longer but had inevitably been awoken once again by the gale rattling the window... Breathing a sigh, he eventually sat up, taking a moment to ponder over whether or not he should head to class before deciding that it perhaps wouldn't hurt to maybe just skip one day? Besides, there was no telling if or when Baba might just send one of her minions to deliver her message...

As it was far too blustery to return to Eoana Forest, Tala made the decision to stick close to the Academy, walking the halls after everyone had left for their classes before turning his direction towards the Courtyard. Being so harsh out there he was certain that nobody would chance heading out into such weather without reason, right?

He would hear the wind as he reached the door and felt relieved that if he was approached by anything - or anyone for that matter - speech would be limited to the closest quarters, else it would be snatched away by the gale.

Reassured that nobody would be out there, Tala pulled up his hood and stepped out, stifling a grumble as his hood was immediately whipped sideways before turning his attention to the Courtyard infront of him. "...What the?"

His eyes would widen as he recognised several members of his Elementor Class and of course Nova their tutor - What the heck were they doing out in such a... "Ah...Course..." nodding, he wasn't surprised... Why waste such a perfect example of the Elements inside, when you can get out there and experience them for yourself? "...Maybe if I just stay here..." Pulling up his hood again he drifted closer to the shadows of the doorway, watching as Nova released a handful of papers into the air, quietly counting how many class members there were and hoping that the Six present wouldn't notice his presence...

So it seems that Nova finally explained the method behind her madness. Supposedly, she's gearing them up for practical usage of their raiments. Nanashi, being the seasoned veteran fighter that he is, would actually practice stuff like this on a daily basis. But instead of papers, he'd usually use leaves instead. The second she would release the papers in the air and set the competition to collect the most, Nanashi would smirk as he would basically disappear. As soon as it began, Nanashi made a leap of action and run at his fastest to go after those papers. He'd leap and use his wind boost to fire back and propel him forward to reach and catch a paper. This seemed easy enough to do, mostly due to the fact that his raiment is at it's strongest during windy days. It hides his steps better, and makes his boosts and attacks as strong as it can be by a slight margin.

Heh... Pretty easy!Nanashi would say as he would continue on. There was one thing to take into account that he would need to expect, though. There's the other students with pretty strong raiments who may be competing along with him, as well as when Nova would explain that the very students would be going against eachother. He still has to be careful for when he'd be attack. For those he'd watch out for, would be Vikraahm, Catherine, Griselda,
Ivar, and Tala. They all are pretty strong both power wise, skill wise.

♛ The atmosphere was not pleasant, not even slightly, for the female that had been used to the hotter climates, her own tanned skin being an evidence of that way of living. This was her first year there, so a bit of confusion was to be expected, but not on the levels that she were about to discover. It all started off with her going around in search of the classroom she belonged to, the Elementor class, only to find out the class was going to be taken outside, in that terrible windy and cold weather. That by itself sent a chill down her spine but composure was maintained. Had to keep control of herself in order to make it through, after all. Things would only get worse the moment she stepped foot on the courtyard completely unaware of what had to be done, only seeing papers flying everywhere and some of the people there staring at them, as if they carried some sort of importance.

She had to collect the information around her, understand as much as she could about the whole situation, and so, Constina began to think. The class was there, apparently, out in mercy of the 'elements', the lessons could be anything as they were dealing with something as diversified as raiments, the result would be that this was some kind of activity for them. Unsure of her decision still, she just calmly continued to walk after whatever paper was closer to her. Didn't take that long, as there were a lot of white sheets around and flying, but to catch one in that wind could be considered a certain challenge, so after holding one paper safely on her hands, the golden woman was happy enough. Even so, she just kept walking after other papers and observing the people around, analyzing them and waiting for something to be said to her or for someone else, whatever that could offer some light on this whole event.

One thing though, that caught the female's attention, was a man using his power to go around in crazy speeds, getting those papers with clear ease. This made Constina wonder if power had to be utilized, in some way or another, for this. Her own was not of much actual use at the level it currently was, so she had to think of any possible way to make this work. Holding out a free hand, a golden bracelet she had around her wrist melted down and slowly became a weird structure, more resembling a small press on the palm of her hand than anything else. Its use soon became clear as the paper she collected was placed in the press, that instantly moved itself to hold it down in place as if the gold was biting it firmly. With that made and ready, the golden eyed female would go back to her way to gather the papers.♛

Ivar nodded towards Nova as she acknoledged his prescence, he was still a little worried she had held a grudge over the desk... He observed the courtyard as his felow classmates started to pile in. He tensed up a little as Nanashi joined in on the class. Ivar was still not sure how he felt about all that had happened, he still needed time to think about it but for now atleast he would focus on the class. Finally Nova had started to explain why the class was being held inside and what they would be doing. "So this is a test to see how we deal with different situations... This should be interesting," Ivar said thinking out loud. He watched as the papers flew in the air but he did not move from his spot.

Ivar's eyes followed Nanashi as he pounced straight into action. Ivar knew how Nanashi fought and how his powers worked to a certain degree so right now ofcourse his Raiment would be the mos useful in this situation. Ivar also watched as another girl used the gold she wore to fashion tools to aid her, she was collecting quite a few pieces of paper with her Raiment. Another boy used some water type of Raiment to collect a single piece of paper, it seemed he wasn't sure on what to do with it so obviously he missed the breifing. Ivar rolled his eyes and shok his head before continuing his surveilance. Nanashi would most likely grab the most pieces of paper so right now he was the one Ivar woud consider using in his plan. But Nova said they could team up to maximise points. Ivar pondered on the thought for a second before he looked up to Nanashi. "Nanashi, team up with me and I can assure you I can get the same amount of pieces as you!" Ivar shouted out to the boy that was flying all over the place. It made sense for him to make an ally with the student best equipped for the task. Then again his plan would garentee alot of pieces so long as no one would clock onto what he was doing. Ivar would just stand there watching the others collect the pieces of paper, he would wait until everyone had atleast one piece of paper. His Raiment was not very versatile in what it could do, not that he knew of. But this did not mean he was out for the count just yet he had a plan in mind but it was not going to be a gentlemenly thing to do...

Hearing that Nova was going to have a challenge for a lesson was definitely interesting, except that the weather would be much of a setback, but where's the fun for that. Not to mention that a few people began making a move, especially with one person snatching one of the sheets already, and another asking for a partnership with someone else. Last time, the partnership was met with that much difficulty, so maybe this time... it would be a chance for redemption. Snatching one of the paper sheets would seem so simple but in actuality, it wouldn't be. Catherine took a deep breath before gazing at his girlfriend with determined eyes. In all honestly, she was thinking of something, but the chance of success would be a low one, so all she could hope was pray and make it happen.

"Zelda... can you use the ball? I have something that might work," she whispered so that only the other red-head could hear it. Her satchel was put aside, alongside her bag of turnovers, before she used a hand to pull down the hood from her head. It was time to get serious.

"Give service, Help the Innocent, Save the lives of friend and foe"

Griselda did not expect this sort of activity. She had a thought about going against the elements of the outside world rather than a controlled environment such as a classroom, but she did not think that catching sheets of paper was part of the plan. On a windy and cold day like today, this challenge will not be easy. Her raiment alone will be of little help in catching the paper, so she will have to think creatively on how to accomplish this task. Nanashi is the most notice able one of the students since his raiment has been given a major advantage over everyone else for this exercise. Others are using things like water and gold to capture some of the paper. Ivar boldly proclaimed that he will be able to catch as many sheets of paper that Nanashi will if they work together on some mystery plan that he concocted. Whatever plan he thought up is probably something that will put the rest of the students at a worse disadvantage that they might be. Griselda still is not sure of what to do in this situation. She can not jump high enough to catch some of the flying sheets nor is she fast enough to catch the ones that may be flying around. It also did not help that some of the wind causes her eyes to squint when it becomes too strong for them to handle. She heard a faint whisper from the princess standing beside her. She asked Griselda if she can use the ball, which she figured she is talking about a certain metallic ball. Her raiment can affect the ball, but she is not so sure how that will be helpful...until she thought about it a second time. This was something that could potentially help them long enough to collect enough sheets of paper to do well in the class. She will need the ball for this work, and whatever Catherine has planned must be something that will help her. Griselda nodded toward Catherine to silently say "yes" and waited for her to make the first move.

Tess watched as others were using their abilities to get the paper. There was an issue with that though! She couldn't do anything but make the paper into shreds. Even then, she didn't want to go Boom today. There were way too many people around, someone might get hurt! She looked at the paper in the sky. It was pretty like snow in the air, floating down. It almost distracted her from the cold. She would pick up a piece of paper that floated down to her. She picked it out of the air. She didn't know who could help her do this. She felt extremely lost as no one seemed to even notice that she was there.

Then the man with the Scorpion came. She gave a smile to him. She had two pieces of paper. That was all that she thought she was going to get though.

Nova observed as her students either jumped into action, strategized quietly, or asked to team with others. A few more students trickled out into the Courtyard, namely Vikraahm, Tess, Constina, and Tala. She waved enthusiastically at the newcomers. Vikraahm, sharp as always, seemed to deduce they should be collecting the papers, so he used his ice to climb up the wall of the Academy and capture a paper, and she shouted,

"Good idea, Vikraahm!" At him encouragingly. Her eyes shifted to Nanashi, who was more a blur at this point, affectively using his Raiment to capture several papers.

"Bravo, Nanashi!" She yelled, smiling. Cathy said something incomprehensible to Griselda, and Nova looked at them curiously as Zelda handed the princess a metallic ball from her bag. Perhaps Catherine had thought of a plan to make her Raiment affective? Nova would have to keep an eye on that, as she was awfully curious what Cathy had in mind. She saw Constina meld the gold she carried into a press to hold the papers, and Nova called out,

"Good use of Raiment!" To show she was watching. Tala and Tess seemed to be unsure what to do, though.

"Those who just arrived, as you may see already, we are utilizing our Raiments to collect papers in a friendly competition!" She had to yell rather loudly over the wind, but she made sure her words reached everyone. She jogged over to Tala, who was hiding in the shadows of the doorway.

"Maybe you could create one of your shades to collect the papers for you, perhaps a bird of sorts to collect the higher up ones?" She said quietly to the boy.

After collecting the fifth paper, Nanashi looked around, as he slid to a stop. By the way the situation looked, others seemed to also have been using their abilities practically. Collecting the papers seemed pretty easy to them, which actually had Nanashi worried. What was also strange were some people who seemed lost, but to him the more important ones were the one who had schemes ready to just snatch all the papers they were unable to collect. It was then that Nanashi heard Ivar speak to him, saying he can gather just as much papers as him and that they should team up together. Eh~? Why the hell would I do tha— Nanashi wanted to say, but was interrupted when he noticed Griselda take a metal ball out of her bag. What it was, he still wouldn’t know. But something did dawn on him. Her magnetic raiment.

With a nervous look, he chuckled a bit. Okay, okay, lets team up. But just his once! Nanashi said, trying to keep his cool composure which he damn well didn’t have. Nanashi knew that if they were to win this competition, he’d have to stop them before they pull off their plan. So what’s this special idea of yours? Nanashi asked, as he got into a running stance, to be ready to take the metal ball from Griselda. It was Catherine he should watch out for the most. She was a good fighter, and actually better than Nanashi, since she got proper training, aside from Nanashi being taught by oucast shinobi and ex-soldier bandits. Let’s do this! Nanashi said, with a smirk ready for battle.

Tala had really hoped he wouldn't be spotted, but Nova's eyes were sharp and he should have known better - Vikraahm had proven to him in Botany before that you can't run from things forever and that they'd find you eventually... This was right on so many levels and so rather than act all stoic and unsociable as he'd planned, he instead broke into a weak grin, rubbing the back of his head before stepping out into the gale,

"I guess I could give it a try," he nodded, drawing what was close by towards him before advancing to where the papers swirled around the Courtyard.

At either side of him as he walked, a wolf-like shade would emerge from the ground, flanking him until he moved his hands forward - at that motion, they would charge into the fray, lunging up for the nearest papers which they grasped in their white-fanged-jaws before changing their form - becoming large, black birds the size of eagles - The pair would twist and turn within the gale, thrusting their talons skyward as they moved to pluck the papers from the air before soaring as high as they could.

Tala stood watching, it would look almost as though they disappeared to anyone else observing the move, then, with a smirk, the youth would close his eyes, pushing one hand into his pocket before holding out the other as something began to plummet from the sky above. It fell with such a force one might have expected it to break bones upon impact, but before it struck his hand, it slowed, hovering above his palm for just a moment before dispersing to reveal the papers he had successfully collected.

He didn't intend to look so smug, but as his fingers closed around the paper, he opened his eyes to look around, briefly counting the number before turning to look back, "I might have missed one or two..." he wasn't entirely sure, but it was nice to forget his problems for a moment,

The papers were starting to be collected now, and more people were joining in. Ivar rose an eyebrow as Nanashi retaliated with a little bit of hostility. But then Nanashi hesitated, Ivar turned to see Griselda taking out her metal ball. "Perfect!" Ivar spoke in a gleeful tone. Griselda and Catherine were going to make Ivar's plan work even better if they had a plan of their own. It was this realisation that Nanasi had come to his senses, he could not compete against those two alone. "You wont like it and you might think i'm mad but hear me out on this one. We let them go through with their plan and let them take the majority of the papers not including the ones you have. Make sure you hold tight onto those ones," Ivar spoke in a serious tone now as he watched the girls while running with Nanashi. "Just make sure they dont retreive all of the pieces but also do not take the pieces yourself. The plan wont work if all of the pieces are gone," Ivar spoke as he removed his right leather glove. The veins in his forearm slowly began to light up as he began to charge his Raiment up. He could see most of the students were to the left of the two of them as were most of the papers still up for grabs. Ivar smirkes as he swung his arm out and clicked his fingers. Sending a bolt of plasma out behind the papers that were in the air to their left. The bolt would fly through the air before creating a small explosion powerful enough to send a shock wave that would launch a good portion of the papers in the direction of Catherine, Griselda, Nanashi and Ivar. "Let's see what they do now I just made it easier for them aswell as us," he said with an evil smile growing on his face. "When I say, I want you to use your Raiment to blast through the air to snatch as many pieces of paper, they wont see this coming and they will make our job so much more easier," he finished explaining his plan for the most part. He did not want to give away the main part of the plan just incase the others heard.

There were some people making a move already with the raiments to snatch at least one sheet of paper, and Cathy was still devising a way to make both theirs work together. In the depths of her memory, there was the lesson about water, on how it can be boiled with fire, though the duration depended on the intensity of heat, and how it would help with a lot of things. Her current plan was definitely insane and the chance would be low, but if that could be pulled off, then it would be a success, although a small one. Her weakness was definitely water, but at this point, with the current situation, the consequences would have to wait. It would be all to show that they could pull this off together.

Cathy went through a small patch of snow, the wind whipping against her face and rolled up the sleeves of her dress before she channeled her power, her hands glowing with the flaming aura. She crouched down, touching her dress with her hands, the cold slowly replaced by heat as she concentrated even more. It would definitely be a time-consuming process, but she musn't give up

-

Griselda had to prepare herself for what is to come. If Catherine is thinking the same thing that she is thinking, then they don't have so much time to prepare. First she reached into her satchel and pulled out a long piece of bendable wire. This piece of wire is something she had been using as an experiment with her raiment, although she has not had so much success with it. With Catherine's help, it might work better than she anticipate. From the princess's satchel, she pulled out the metallic ball and wrapped the wire aroundit like a coil. Since the princess is working on what seems to be melting ice with her aura of fire, there is not much else the commonre can do until Catherine finishes. At least Griselda is understanding the thought process behind what the two of them are trying to achieve.

-

After a while, her dress was now burning with the aura of her raiment; she had to make it fast since the material of her dress was a bit thick, so it would still withstand the heat but not for long because of the limited duration and the danger of being burnt if it lingered too long. In fact, the searing sensation on her skin was starting to encompass her but she was used to it because of her affinity with fire. She squeezed her eyes shut as she went on, channeling more of her aura until finally, her entire body was on fire, somehow resembling a piece of burning wood ready for campfires and cooking.

Catherine laid down on the small of snow, the ice melting and the chilly wind slowly turning to steam because of the imbuement, but it still took a while for the water to boil because of the temperature. Her imbument's temperature was currently several degrees in Fahrenheit lower than the boiling point, so she had to stay still. She had to imagine herself with the warm campfire, the feeling of Zelda's skin on her own, and the intensity of the training. It wasn't long before the water finally boiled, though the steam resembled that of a small hot spring from another foreign country. Because of her rank, that was all she could manage.

-

This is risky what the two of them are doing. Catherine is putting herself in danger since her affinity with fire is clashing with the the cold snow. However, what was important for Griselda is that the steam that she is generating will allow her raiment to be more powerful than it is on her own. While Catherine had generated this burning aura, which Griselda took of advantage of this by allowing the wire coiled around the metal ball to heat up. This heat became a source of generating a current through the wire, which is providing a magnetic field that Griselda can take advantage of. For this plan to ultimately work, the steam has to condense, but she is not sure how this will work. Surely the others are looking at them and are aware they are up to something. They have to work quickly before the commoner and princess are disrupted. Once she got the wire heated up just enough, she set the ball on a small puddle of water caused by Catherine and began to manipulate the magnetic field that it is generated. For those who are affected by this magnetic field, they will be attracted to Griselda and be pulled toward her. At the very least, this will disrupt those around her and prevent them from catching papers so quickly.

-

Cathy would definitely feel the slight dampness of her skin and clothing once she was done with the little show, going to feel the chill pushing back at her and she may possibly become sick at the end of the lesson, but that was all for success, and success wouldn't be possible without sacrifices. There was the shift in the air and even with the closed eyes, the princess could imagine Zelda doing her job. A small smile crept up her face, the rest was up to her now at this point. And besides, the princess had suffered worse than this, she may be partially down with the current situation but she wouldn't be out; with enough recovery, she may still have the fortitude for the upcoming gala in the next few days.

All in all, the procedure did take a while to set up, but the success would be on how well people would be affected by that collaboration. Though with Ivar coming in, anything could still happen.

Vikraahm Abad

User Image
[The past]
Vikraahm was surveying the area now that he had one paper, making sure to have his ice retreat back into his gourd. There were a few others not far from him, but not knowing the full extent of the objective he was content to just wait and observe how things would play out. He had exposed part of his raiments ability to a degree, but not enough hopefully that others would have a measure of it. His gaze would slowly travel between each and every other inhabitant in the courtyard, curious to see how they would go about collecting papers, and perhaps finding a method he could use to do so. He still saw little point to collecting them currently, given they were blank, but it may pose a more interesting diversion until he found out more. As he gazed about, he almost did not see the figure of a person moving at high speeds through the air itself. He seemed to be able to easily change direction and control where he went in the air, and Vikraahm would have missed seeing him had he not been actively looking around. His attention remained on the person for a little bit. He had been one of the ones who had gone past him as he had leisurely walked to the courtyard. He did not know the persons name, nor the full extent of his raiment, but it seemed he had a clear advantage in this competition. 'He launches himself while flying...Perhaps there is a way to disrupt his control...' He silently thought to himself. He could only guess this by the fact of how he moved mid air, where there was a burst of speed given to him as he would just change directions. 'He cannot fly, but he can stay in the sky.' He would think, his reasoning continuing. He had no clue on how he actual did it, and so could not think of a way to stop the sudden movement, but he could redirect it, if the need arose. The person also seemed to be collecting papers, though whether it be for the purpose of amusement, instruction, or simple generosity Vikraahm could not be certain. He needed to observe further, as his hand moved his sole sheet of paper and folded it, before stashing it in his head wrappings for later. Should he need to gather more, he may need the use of his hands.

Vikraahms eyes would then turn to the appearance of someone else entering the courtyard, apparently arriving late like himself. The reason he could not be certain, but if he had to guess it may have been the late notice in the class. Though she likely would not shed any light on the exercise itself, her reaction to this situation could prove insightful. He did not remember seeing her in class before, whether that was because she was not part of it before or because he simply had not noticed. It could also merely be his mind deciding to not be forthcoming at the moment. Regardless, he kept his gaze temporarily trained on her to see what she would do. He watched her calmly walk through the courtyard, taking a small amount of time to consider the situation, and gather a single sheet of paper like he had. After acquiring the first, it seemed she believed others would be needed, and so she set out to collect more. Vikraahm was about to turn his gaze to someone else to try and figure out everything that was going on, but paused as he noticed something on her wrist. It was golden in color, and from its position on her wrist it seemed to be some type of jewelry, but what caught his attention was the fact that its shape would change and even moved to another area on her arm. He watched as she placed a paper there and it seemed to be held. He was unsure of what he saw, but he assumed she could control that type specific type of metal, primarily due to her not using any others to collect papers. He saw the possible versatility in that power, but had seen to little like with the last person to determine the full extent of her capabilities. With that thought in mind, his gaze would travel to another person in the courtyard.

The next target of Vikraahms gaze was another male that he did not know the name of. This seemed to be a recurring thing as he observed everyone, and he resolved to have it fixed as soon as he was able. He could not be left so unaware for long, as the line between friend or foe was thin at times, and he needed to be prepared for whichever any of them turned out to be. As such, he kept his gaze on the man, noticing him not really participating as of yet but looking in the direction of the one he had viewed earlier. He would then speak, calling him Nanashi. Vikraahm made a mental note of that, committing it to his memory and slowly piling in the information together of what he currently knew of his ability with his name and appearance. Still, he continued to listen as this person spoke, asking for an alliance that seemed to be mutually beneficial, since the offer was that he was just as capable. Vikraahm would frown slightly as he processed that information. 'Does that mean this is an exercise?...' He thought to himself, trying to piece together the information he had at his disposal. He remembered faintly hearing the words go, walking into a courtyard full of flying paper, seeing several people collecting it, and now the offer of an alliance to collect an equal amount. The pieces seemed to be leading to that as a probable answer, but Vikraahm was unsure of how to proceed, especially as he watched the man who made the offer remain in place and start studying everyone else like he was, which made him unsure if he was simply jesting with the other. Shrugging, he would turn his attention to someone else.

His attention turned to the duo of red haired females he remembered from class, though the names still eluded him unfortunately. While everyone else seemed to be at least attempting to gather the papers, they were quietly conversing with one another. His attention would narrow to only them for the time being, curious as to what they were discussing. It could be as simple as his reason for not acting yet, or they could have teamed up like how he saw someone else propose. They perhaps were even formulating a plan of action for gathering these papers. Still, he had no reference point because of his distance to them, and without hearing the words all he could do was guess as to their actions, which would prove pointless in this exercise as the papers were quickly being taken from the sky and gripped tightly by the ground-bound inhabitants of this courtyard. Before he would turn his gaze away from the two, he noticed one of them put away her bags and lower her hood. He did not know if that was merely because the bags were proving to be an inconvenience and she decided it was better for it to be on the floor, or if it were for the preparation of something. Her pulling down her hood provided no clue for him either, as he merely assumed she just no longer wished to wear it. The other would nod to that one, seeming to be in agreement, but until they acted Vikraahm could better use his time by studying others. Still, he kept them in his peripheral, interested to see what they would do.

His gaze traveled to a familiar red head, the one who he could still not understand fully about. She couldn't open doors, but she was gathering papers around the courtyard, and at this stage she had more than him, if only by one. She had arrived here earlier than him, and so he was tempted to ask her what was happening for confirmation despite having a fairly strong idea that he needed to collect the papers. However, he was not in a particularly talkative mood today, and she confused him greatly. His un-trusting nature made him doubtful she would even tell him, as if it were an exercise or even a competition, she may benefit from telling him a lie. As such, him speaking and awaiting an answer would be an entirely pointless use of his time. As she turned to regard him with a smile, still holding her two papers, he would merely nod to her with an uninterested look, intent to do this by himself and remain isolated. He would acknowledge her however, if only for the sole reason of making sure she did not decide to go to him out of anger or with the thought that he may not have noticed her.

His attention was diverted to the sound of his name being yelled out, as he looked and found the source to be his teacher. Apparently, he was supposed to collect the papers. This was further evidenced by her yelling encouragements to the others who were participating in this, and given that she made no mention of collecting too much, he assumed that he was supposed to collect more. He was still unsure of what the entire point of this exercise even was at this point in time, but he just pushed that from his mind. He now had an objective to complete. His thoughts were further reinforced by her following words, calling this a friendly competition to gather papers. 'So it seems I need to collect more.' He silently thought to himself, his eyes turning briefly from her to gaze at the sky full of papers. The task seemed easy enough, but with his decision to wait and see how things played out he was at a disadvantage as others had already started to collect more than one. Should he try to go for the most, it would take a significant effort from him, and luck in regards to how his opponents do. His gaze would travel back to her as she ran to a doorway, and seemed to be speaking. He could not tell who, as from his angle he could not see anyone, and she spoke too quietly for him to hear her words. Without knowing who it was or the words she spoke, he could not make an accurate assumption and so he turned his attention back to the scene at hand in front of him.

As he saw a particularly large collection of papers, the winds seemed to be taking them to that area naturally, he noticed a familiar blur of movement, tracking it and the disappearance of a single paper before the blur slowed and landed on the ground. As the person was now on the ground, and the finer details of the person were easier to see, his eyes immediately noticed he was not clutching two papers but five. It appears that as Vikraahm was studying everyone he had not been idle, and collected a large amount of papers in that small period of time. He seemed to be in the lead out of everyone he had observed so far, by a significant degree. Vikraahm would have targeted him had the words friendly not been listed as part of this. He assumed trying anything like that would cause him to immediately lose. As such, he simply had to adapt and figure out the fastest way for him to get the papers. He heard Nanashi speak, agreeing to join the man due to something he saw that Vikraahm could not see himself. This only meant that his task of gathering more would be all the more difficult, but a challenge was always a challenge. There was no point in dwelling on disadvantages or advantages. All that matters was that he tried his hardest to succeed. If he couldn't, he would just need to train himself harder. He saw the man get into a running stance, presumably to gather more papers as Vikraahm continued to think on what he would do as he kept a wide gaze on the courtyard.

'I have not tried controlling more than a few strands of ice at a time and independently...but perhaps that would work now...'
He silently thought to himself. It would be a good way to push his limits, and anything short of that would mean he would have more than one paper, but he would have no chance of winning. As he was about to go for this idea, eyeing a particularly good spot to do so, he noticed Tala walk forward, but he was not alone. He was flanked by two shadow wolfs that arose from the ground, as it appeared, that would immediately go and snatch all the papers near the ground, particularly the ones he had been thinking of going for. That was not all though, to Vikraahms pride and worry, as he watched the wolfs change into bird and fly into the air, grabbing ever more papers. Their ascent into the sky took them so high and fast, Vikraahm could no longer see them. He wondered why they had gone so high up into the air, as his attention would remain focused on the sky trying to see them again, not even noticing Tala putting out his arm as if expecting something. After a few seconds, Vikraahm saw something begin to fall, its speed ever increasing, and as his eyes tracked just ahead of it he noticed Tala in its path. He was confused though, as he saw Tala merely stand there with an arm outstretched. 'Is this planned?' Vikraahm would ponder to himself. He seemed completely unworried, and the last thing to ascend that high were his shadows. Still, with the speed they were coming down it seemed Tala would lose that particular arm. Vikraahm was too far to intervene, unsure if Tala fully knew what he was doing, and merely watched from the sidelines as the thing seemed to pause just before landing in Tala's open palm. As he closed his hands around the papers and looked around, having gathered a few, Vikraahm felt internally relieved. He respected Tala for heeding his advice and changing how he was, and would have been sad to see him so severely injured. Though he wondered if his lessons made him a little too confident. If it had, he would have to deal with the consequences, as that was a lesson best learned by ones own errors. Still, Vikraahm hoped when he experienced that it would not be any permanent damage. He would give a small smile and nod to Tala as he gazed about, a sign of approval from him.
[The present]
As Vikraahm again searched for a suitable pile of papers to go for, he was for once caught unaware as a sudden explosion appeared not to far from him. His first instinct from the explosion was to shield himself with his arms so he would not get hit. After a second or two of nothing happening, he moved his arms away and saw all the papers had gone towards the duo of red heads and Nanashi with his partner. He just looked, confused and a bit shocked at what had just happened. He saw the one he did not know the name of speaking, with an evil grin appearing on his face. Vikraahm's eyes narrowed. 'The source.' He thought to himself. The papers were much closer to that group now, making Vikraahms chances even slimmer. Though he felt a little anger at cutting that explosion close, a part of him admired the ingenuity. He inhibited all of them without directly attacking them. Still, the time for waiting was ending as Vikraahm would start to walk towards the pile of flying papers. It was at this point he noticed a peculiar site, as one of the redheads was on the ground in...steam and water from what it appeared... 'And she is on fire...' He almost paused at that thought and sight. But he could not question it at this point. He had been too inactive in this and time was running out. He had to be highly mobile for anything to work, so he detached his gourd but kept his weapons on. With what was pulled, he was unsure if someone would try something more aggressive, and he wanted to be prepared, and would continue walking to his destination. As such, he did not notice their plan coming to fruition as he was suddenly jolted forward towards them. He almost fell, and had he been stationary prior he would have, as he felt his scimitar and shield being pulled towards their direction. He just barely caught himself as he felt a strong pull from his gear towards them. At first his sole thought was just to resist it, but then an idea formed in his mind. It was rash, and he had not practiced it before. 'But it will work.' He thought to himself, a very small smile appearing on his face.

Vikraahm would grab his scimitar and shield with a firm grip, drawing them from his back and ensuring he had a tight hold on them as he felt the strain of the pull now on his arms rather than his back. He had one shot at this, as he saw the large flock of papers just above and around all of them. He then concentrated on his ice, having it spread from his gourd directly to his shoes. From there, the ice would go down and pierce into the ground, helping hold him in place. This only used a small amount of his ice, and the rest then spread out in front of him as a path made completely out of ice. With a look of determination, he would retract the ice holding him in place to his shoe and jump into the air. The force of the pull, now without him on the ground, pulled him forward, and he focused again on an important part of the plan. The small amount of ice on his shoe went down to the sole and spread out to cover it, so that it was now completely covered in ice. Vikraahm felt the weightlessness of being in the air, and the strong force pulling him forward. He focused on the ice and the direction of his feet. If he messed this up, his plan would fail spectacularly. Still, if it was one thing he was good at, it was his control and speed. He landed on the ice, and immediately started sliding forward on his runway of ice, his shield and scimitar pulling him forward. With the ice sliding off of ice, he had little friction, and was speeding down the path. The hard part to this was making sure the ice on the path traveled fast enough to keep replacing itself and make sure the path remained. He could not keep this up long, but he shouldn't need to with his plan. As he neared them, he had the ice suddenly rise to act as small but steep ramp directly in front of him. The ice that he passed over, no longer needing to keep extending forward, would latch onto the heel of his shoe and creep up his leg. He did not know how much more he could do, and used all his focus to keep this process going, his eyes squinting, brow furrowed, hands tightly holding onto his metallic gear and he temporarily stopped breathing. As he hit the ramp, he resisted the urge to close his eyes as he suddenly felt his forward momentum go upward significantly. He tried to get as much ice as he could from the ramp, but he only succeeded in getting a quarter of it, meaning half of the ice he had been using was left on the ground.

Vikraahm was now in the air, feeling weightless but also feeling the pull on his metallic gear. Knowing from the get go what he had to do, he relinquished his hold on both, allowing them to fly toward the source of the pull as he continued his upward and forward ascent in the air. The hardest part was done, but his job was not over yet. As his upward arc was slowing, he had the ice he managed to retain crawl up on his body. It got to his upper torso before he felt as if he was pausing mid air. He took in a deep breath, the first since he was near the ramp, and quickly looked about him. There were papers in all directions and angles near him. He exhaled, and the ice across his upper torso quickly and violently extended out. He did not control them all for preciseness. It was too many individual ones. Instead, he just had the spikes come out in a variety of long and small lengths from all across his upper torso. With only half, his range was limited as well if he used them too thickly. The hope was that by having them be relatively thin, it would compensate and still reach out to his maximum range, and that by having them come out from a variety of angle, at least some were bound to hit. He took in a breath, and quickly looked around his body, even turning his head to a degree as he felt the force of the world pulling him back to the ground. He had caught a good amount from his spikeball move, five in total, and the ones that had papers on them he would retract to him so he could quickly grab them and stuff them in his turban. There were still a lot more, but he had no time to try and go for them. As he felt his speed to the ground accelerate, he placed one hand over his turban in order to make sure it stayed on. Shinshi was holding on for dear life beneath his scarf, pincers gripping tightly to his shirt, but knowing the danger took a risk and quickly scaled Vikraahm's neck to hide under his turban.

Now, for the part he had not fully thought through. Vikraahm's speed to the ground was rapidly accelerating, and in his haste, he had not fully planned on how he would land. He had a vague idea, but now he would need to execute it. During his little stunt, his body had turned a bit to make it so that he was heading towards the ground headfirst. He kept his growing panic in check, as it would do no good for him and only serve to cause him to screw up. His face kept the appearance of calm, and he pushed out all thoughts of failure from his mind to keep it clear. He had to angle this just right, and his timing would be the key. Thankfully, there was a snow patch on the ground, far enough away from the heat being generated due to the speed he had gained from his ice path and ramp. As he was nearing it, the ice on his torso would travel up and lightly cover his free arm, neck, and part of his face but leaving holes from him to see and breath from. Once he was near enough to the snow, dangerously close at his speed, he rapidly created a ramp that was roughly angled in the direction he was falling. It would only be a few seconds before he hit, and in that time he tried to adjust as much as he could. As he hit the top of the ramp, the glass on his torso cracked, the ones on his free arm completely broke off and he felt himself quickly sliding forward. Due to the angle, concentration required, speed and stress of it all he did not have enough time to gently slow down with the ice or have a slowly changing angle. While the top of the ramp caught him to land on, it very quickly turned steep. Vikraahm closed his eyes as the ice covering his face hit the steep curse of the ice ramp and completely broke off. The ice on his torso was only remaining due to the pressure of him being on the ice at this point. Though now almost level with the ground, his speed had barely decreased, and his focus was broken. Both his hands instinctively dropped to cover his face, one dragging his turban down as he did so with Shinshi inside. He quickly sped off the ice ramp and onto the dirt, rolling roughly on the ground from the sudden transition. He stopped roughly a good distance away from the ice, landing on his back with a good amount of scrapes. He was panting heavily, and slowly moved his hands away from his face, moving his turban down to his chest, before dropping his arms down to his sies. He felt sore all over, and too exhausted to move. Shinshi crawled out from under his turban, looking left and right to make sure everything was safe, before collapsing flat on Vikraahm's chest. They just laid there, one feeling accomplished and sore, and the other feeling like he had just escaped death.
