「PERSONALITY」
Twisted Rose is, in all sense of the word, deadly. She's charming, beautiful, clever, and always a step ahead. While she's petite and holds a fragility in her posture, Twisted Rose is a master of disguise. She is like a rose; beautiful but painful to the touch.
She has two sides to her, much like her brother. However, unlike him, both are true to her personality. Rose is sensual and alluring on the outside, using her beauty to seduce those around her and bend them to her will. She holds a playful tone that seems to lack any poisonous intent. On the outside, Rose is a promiscuous pony with a sly smile. While her tone still holds power within it, she plays on how fragile her body looks. She is a small flower who needs protecting; or so she'd happily lead you to believe.
The other side of her delights in carnage. Twisted Rose finds the same happiness in murder as those find in a new puppy. It's a disease her family has passed down for centuries, and now she's the perfect accumulation of it all. It doesn't have to be by her hoof, and these days it often isn't. She enjoys the game of luring someone to completely lower their defenses for her, and she loves that split second of betrayal in their eyes before the deed is done. Those she targets aren't killed instantly -- she plays the long game. It's more satisfying that way.
Twisted Rose is unable to properly respond to love or feel it. While she does love, her reaction to it is violent and vile. She becomes possessive to the core and often turns those she loves into pawns. That, or her jealousy may rear its ugly head and she'll murder them. Most of her lovers she did truly love, but there's an insecurity deep within Twisted Rose that manifests into graves. Deep down, Twisted Rose knows most could not truly love her. Those she seduces love the outside version of her. They could not appreciate the monster she will never shed. Twisted Rose is prone to turning on those she loves, often finding reasons to not trust them and lashing out. She is terrified of being alone. Being abandoned is her worst fear, and so she decides to either get it over with and rid herself of the person causing this fear, or trap them forever. Her brother is the worst victim of this. She loves him dearly, but she uses their familial connection to torture the doctor. He is at her whim, and Twisted Rose knows he's miserable, but she doesn't know any other way to keep him close.
Rose is not completely dead inside, as mentioned above. She can care for others, although she's far more likely to take pity on those in powerless situations. Twisted Rose gets a high off power. She loves to control and take away as she pleases. As a result, she's created a sanctuary for abuse victims (which is ironic in nature). Twisted Rose will listen to victims of others abuse and either personally murder the attacker, or send someone from her sanctuary to do it for her. Often, those who come to her end up seeking refuge with her, and she delights in it. She loves being the sole protector of those in need. She will protect those who come to her, although there's always a sinister undertone to her protection. Betray her and you'll find yourself in the dirt. Reject a request and she'll slit your throat.
Once she's locked her eyes on you, you are hers.

「BIOGRAPHY」
█ || Basket ⋯
There were two families, sworn together by promise. One family prominently produced females, and those born to that family were of darker inclination. This family struggled with maintaining their sanity; many grew into those who were unable to understand love properly and were emotionally unstable. The other family made loyal ponies who would do anything for the ones they cared for. Long ago, a pony from each family grew up together in the same town. One was weaker than the other and struggled throughout their life. The other was stronger, and swore to protect them.
This became a tradition among the families, although the families never crossed over. Not until Nevermore and Twisted Rose's parents. Sickly Sweet, from the female-dominated family, and Thorny Raven from the protective side, fell in-love. Sickly Sweet maintained her sanity up until her middle years. She gave birth to three children in order; Nevermore, Requiem, and Twisted Rose. Upon the birth of her first child she began to deteriorate; growing aggressive and lashing out at her husband. Twisted Rose was born towards the end of this process.

She was born after her two older brothers. Twisted Rose was immediately met with joy and adoration from her parents. Nevermore was instantly forced to be her aide, while Requiem held a hatred for her she didn't understand at that age. As a small child, Rose spent most of her time with Nevermore. She'd play dolls and tea parties with him, delighting in his smile and attention. During stormy nights she'd snuggle into Nevermore's bed for protection. As a small child, she loved her brother purely. He was her big brother, and she would never had dreamed of hurting him.
Requiem ran away one night, although Rose didn't find too much sorrow in it. Requiem had often been cruel to her, spitting venom about her being an abomination. Around this time she was forcibly kept from her mother, who was deteriorating mentally faster and faster. Her mother ended up dying and her father followed after. By the end of the year their family of five became two.
Nevermore raised her, and he did fairly well at first. However, during his outings she began to feel a curiosity about death. She wasn't stupid -- she knew her parents had died. She just didn't know what dying looked like. So one day she sought it out, locating a bird and doing the imaginable. By the time Nevermore came home she was sitting among its ruin.
That was the first time she felt true joy.
Her change was slow. Slower than her mothers. It was easy to miss, really. Nevermore was studying to become a doctor and Twisted Rose was home alone often as a late teenager. It bothered her greatly, but Twisted Rose kept her smile whenever her brother came home. Still, the agitation grew. After experiencing true joy she had become tense around the edges and starved. She tried to find that joy again and again, although killing hadn't crossed her mind at that time. Not at first. Nevermore was a healer, after all. He'd hate her, wouldn't he?
And so she sought out anything to try and get that hit again. She tried new things. Writing, flower tending, jewelry making, exploring. Nothing worked. And then she met a sweet boy in the neighborhood. He didn't give her that feeling, but he made her momentarily happy. That is, until he mentioned leaving the town for school. Rose reacted before she could think -- he was dead in a matter of minutes. And there it was again -- the joy. It flooded her system and overwhelmed her senses. When Nevermore came home she was still standing before the boy.
Nevermore reached out to console her, and that was the end of everything.

█ || Adult ⋯
She entered adulthood with a new view on the world. It was []hers. She could do what she wanted with it. She was done waiting home for her brother. Done looking for a reason to smile. She knew what made her happy and she took it. Nevermore, at first, believed her claims her boyfriend had assaulted her, but as the bodies began to pile in their house she knew her brother understood. She was like her mother, and Twisted Rose was tired of denying it. Why should she sacrifice her happiness because of societal norms? Wasn't the point of living to be happy?
She manipulated Nevermore into staying, crushing his spirit day by day until she watched him grovel at her feet. She didn't stop there. She liked the feeling of breaking someone into her will. She turned her eyes to finding more like him. And so she created an underground prison. Nevermore found her a large mansion with a massive underground system. Money was good and they came from a wealthy family. It was, without question, going to be hers.
The underground was renovated into a beautiful prison and sanctuary. Half of it was used to contain prisoners, and the other half would house ponies. She sought out those in abusive situations and promised them refuge. It was easier to find victims this way. She didn't have to hunt for bodies anymore. She murdered the abusers and took home the victims, giving them a safe place to live and fancy clothes and food. As long as they served her whims she'd protect them. Of course, rumors spread among her little underground community that those who defied her would vanish, but it was a price to pay. She was their savior; their protector.
Twisted Rose is very comfortable as of late. She has ready access to her favorite pleasure and she even has ponies who need her. She's content. She's happy, even.
