Edalla and Green Moilath (Wingrider of Star Flame in Western)
Edalla watched as some of the baby flits seemed to be bonding to others. That was alright, she would be able to calm Moilath, if they didn't happen to get another flit. She also noticed a queen and some of her fair come, so it seemed these nests weren't so abandoned as people had thought. The had had to shoo one of them away from her jacket, but thankfully they finally seemed to go watch from a distance. She held her meat out for any babies, she would not be forced off that easily.
Are you okay, they didn't hurt you..did they?Moilath asked gently to her rider.
No, I am not hurt, they were just trying to scare us off. You said you wanted to come, so we are staying until there are no more babies left,Edalla thought back.
Quote: Anyone from Western who needed a ride can say they traveled with Edalla and Moilath. Also, they are up for interaction
Ash'il and Bronze Iptoneth (Wingsecond of Harbringers Wing of HR)
Ash'il kept the meatroll out to the flit babies, but kept his eyes on all those around him. He could see flits taking food from some of the others, including a gold seeming to take a shining to someone with food. He smiled, wondering how the man might be feeling. He remembered his twin practically shining when she told him about Awyna coming to her. Even Demanthra had been thrilled when she got Eidel in the same wild clutch. He was just wondering if this clutch was really wild too, when he heard the cries from a fair of firelizards and winced. He made sure they stayed away from his sister, even if they wouldn't try and attack with all these dragons around.
"We are just here to get to know your babies,"he assured, as they went to perch in a tree. He looked to Kinye, seeing she was chatting with her friend, so he focused on the baby firelizards once more.
Well, it seems the Weyrsecond got a little one. It is really a cute thing,Iptoneth thought to his rider, keeping his eye on things as he could.
Someone got a little gold too. I am going to guess the only one, I am going to say the gold mother is from one of them and the other nest belonged to a green,Ash'il reasoned. He wondered if Anisa would be getting a friend today, only time would tell.
Quote: These two are open for interaction. And just a note, Demanthra and Monath are around to watch over candidates, but not participating in flits, since Eidel just had babies biggrin

Up in her tree, the golden firelizard glowered and hissed. How dare they feed her babies. That was her job! She couldn’t reason like a dragon, but if she could she might have been glad they were feeding, and not eating them! At any rate, their strange babbling and other noises directed at her or the babies was meaningless. She was a fully wild firelizard, and had only seen these weird two-legged things from a safe distance before that awful day. So awful! She laid her head over her bronze companion’s neck and sighed dramatically.
Below, someone else was noticing that things had gotten a bit quieter. Perhaps now was a good time to make a move!
That someone crept silently, belly to the ground, focusing every bit of itself on blending in. There was no way anyone would see it, not with such dark, inscrutable looks! It was hunting a particular scent, continuing its slow crawl until its prey was in reach… then it sprang!
The dark hide would be perfect camouflage during the night, but the sun was blazing just then. It was doubtful that Ash’il was at all surprised by the nearly black hatchling who’d tried to sneak up on his meatroll across the much lighter sand.

Within the nests, a couple of eggs were still rocking, the flits inside working their way out. Two eggs in particular, leaning against each other, were fairly vibrating with excitement. So much was going on out there! They wibbled, they wobbled, and eventually they cracked, little muzzles poking out at almost exactly the same time to boop one another. It was both a hello and a goodbye, for the two babies immediately set off in different directions, likely never to see each other again.
The slightly smaller of the two wound its way around massive hands and feet, dodging a literal grab from one pushy Big Thing. There was something irresistible on the air, and this baby was going to find it! When the source of the lovely smell was found, the hatchling took a standing leap straight up into the air, hoping to latch onto it. Stormy would see in a moment that humans weren’t the only ones there to steal things today!
The other hatchling was a little less picky about what it wanted to eat, but it still managed to wander some distance away from its nest. Something smelled pretty good over here… but also over there! The baby wavered several times before finally bumping into something—was it a tree? Oh, nope! Faren, stop looking at Mom and look down here instead!

Onyx watched the little fire lizards hatch, finding their awkward, clumsy movements to be fascinating. Dragonkin were fascinating, weren't they? She almost wished she focused more on treating them, in her studies, but...she enjoyed her job. She'd be lying if she said she didn't.
There were so many of them, the little critters, crawling about and doing whatever it was they were doing. Being hungry, probably. She remembered Vijr had been hungry, when he'd hatched--as had Miehrath. To Onyx's surprise, several firelizards emerged from between, including the mother of the clutch. The adult firelizards tugged at hair, flying around, but there were only a few of them, so Onyx kept much of her focus on the eggs.
She continued trying to lure a lovely creature in with her meatscraps, and as she did, a little brown approached, snapping at the meat. Delighted, she pulled some more out, letting him eat as much as he wanted. The woman beside her--what was her name, again?--smiled and offered a congratulations, as the brown began to climb up Onyx's arm. A bit painful on the exposed skin, but Onyx was glad to have another companion...even if that companion was now chewing on the fringes of her sleeves.
"Hey, let go of that. What, am I too slow for you?" Onyx asked with a grin, pulling out another strip of meat and offering it to him. He begrudgingly let go of the sleeve, but the scent of even more meat was enough to make him do as she said. "Well, you're a little moody one, aren't you? It's okay. I'll call you...Blade. A solid name. You'll grow into it." She gave him a lopsided grin. "Maybe."

Faren had been trying to comfort the mother, who seemed quite clearly disinterested in the offering. She was about to sigh and resign to watch from behind the crowd when she felt a tug at her pantleg and her mind. She stared down at the little ice blue flitterling and glanced up at the gold as if for permission, but somehow knew it wasn't going to come. With an apologetic smile to the upset mother, the girl bent to offer the little attention thief a snippet of her own meatscraps, giggling as the little beast was lured into her arms.
Well, Faren had quite fully intended on waiting for mother's permission, but... Just like at a dragon's hatching, the children don't always agree, apparently. "Little attention hound, aren't we? Very well, Kokebi... But you must eventually share with Zhenth." Faren started to move away from the flitter fair, to be out of the way. She left her meatroll by the distressed parents, and sent them fond thoughts and a promise that Kokebi would be well attended. Although she seemed to be having trouble finding her dragon, Zhenth sent them visual promises of Faren's own dilligent care of her hide, as well as chores that may not always have been her own.

Past the group of people formed around the fire lizard nest, far smaller than the nest the clutch of dragon eggs he'd Impressed at had been, Liaven could see eggs shaking. That was familiar, he could mark that down mentally for later. Why he'd not thought to bring a notepad and paper was beyond him, for this would absolutely have been the time to do such a thing. But instead, when he'd mentioned where it was that he was going, his pockets had been filled with meat by a friend and he'd been fairly shoved off to go and see.
Far more rushed than he'd have enjoyed.
I think it's quite amusing, honestly. It must have felt like when you came to the hatching so you could meet yours truly. Sarbath commented from where she was lying on the beach, sunning herself with a great deal of impatience.
I hadn't been able to take notes that time either, forbidden was the term. This time I'd been hoping to jot down at least some details, but unfortunately it may always elude me. Liaven thought to her with a quiet sigh, watching both a blue and a green pop from a pair of eggs and then immediately go for bondings. That at least was a little different than some of Sarbath's siblings had been, but likely that's because fire lizards didn't much care for that 'special one'.

Edalla and Green Moilath (Wingrider of Star Flame in Western)
Ash'il and Bronze Iptoneth (Wingsecond of Harbringers Wing of HR)
Ash'il could see the golden mother was not happy about this, when he happened a look up at her, but hopefully she would see if was a good thing..eventually. His eyes drifted back in time to see a little brown flit sneaking closer to where he was sitting. Watching closely, he couldn't help the small smile that tugged on his lips as it seemed the little one was trying to be stealthy, before pouncing on the meatroll in his very own hands. A laugh came out as he broke some pieces off to feed his new firelizard. Seemed his question about if he would be bringing home a friend for Anisa had been answered.
"Alright, little guy, there is plenty more where that came from. I guess we better come up with a name for you, huh? How about..Cloak?"he asked in thought. Cloak gave a cheep in agreement, before digging in more of the meatroll.
So, my suggesting we come help and enjoy today wasn't such a bad idea now, was it?Iptoneth asked, earning him an amused shake of the head from the wingsecond. Iptoneth gave a chuckle, he couldn't wait to meet little Cloak.
