Loteth was bouyed by his success so far but he made a mistake, he was busy flaming a clump, neither he or Nyssa noticed their wingmate pop out from between flaming right at them.

Loteth squealed and tried to get out of the way, he almost managed it but still got caught on his rump as he twisted. He snarled a warning to the dragon "Watch where you're flaming you idiot" he snapped.
Nyssa's heart pounded, she was sure they were going to die as she saw the flame heading towards them. "good job Loteth, but it was an accident, let's just focus now, reprimand them later ok?"
"OK Nyssamine, but only because you wish it" he grunted, sore from the burn

Loteth was more alert after his near miss, not only keeping his eyes out for Thread, but also for his fellow wingmates. Nyssa did the same.

Loteth, being on the alert, saw some thread juuust out of his reach, he sretched his neck and sped up a little to try and flame it before it reached the lower altitude wing. He wasn't going to reach it but a gust of wind sent the small clump straight into his flame. WOW!

Thank goodness he was still on the alert, Loteth saw a wingmate in trouble and moved to help instantly, not thinking of his own safety.

5/5 Not again!.. Another dragon, or maybe the same one, flamed right out of between, right at them. Loteth swore at the pair, using extremely rude language he learned from somewhere (definitely was not from Nyssa) as he tried to dodge yet another dimglow's flames

Loteth rolled out of the way, using his wings to shield Nyssa but he got caught along the wingsail, not a bad injury but it would be sore after threadfall was over and the adrenaline left his body. "BLOODY IDIOT" he screamed at the pair... he definitely did not learn that language from his rider...

A gust of wind seemed to wind around Alcherath, tugging and tossing her about. She battled back against the gale, seeming to actually focus in for a moment, growing determined as she clawed back into position.

They had been saved once from friendly fire, but that luck seemed not to last. As they dove towards another clump, a wingmate--overeager or inattentive, burst from between, belching flame... right at them.
But then, at the very last second—a shout! Once more the green was startled, and this time into leaping between for some long moments, long enough to dodge the flame. When she winked back in, the poor thing was breathing hard, but thankfully unharmed. Beylith, you too...? Everyone is trying to scare me today...

Uh oh, there was trouble brewing for a nearby wingmate. There, Bey! Ambrin called. In an instant, the brown understood the situation and blinked between. They popped back with a whoosh of wings and a well-aimed burst of flame that cleared the way for their fellow wingrider.

Blasted wind, it was still quite strong. Beylith wasn't exactly a shining example of size for his color, but he was still bit too large for the acrobatics he'd need to avoid a strand that had gotten forced his way. The scoring stung, but he shrugged it off with little more than a snort, stubbornly keeping his attention on the task at hand.

Already forgetting about the near-death moment, Alcherath sped off after a few strands of thread, almost cheerfully belching slender lines of fire to sear them. She ran down line after line, popping between as needed to strike where was needed.
