Felisath The green dragon's eyes suddenly brightened--the yellow mostly washed away by purple as Yaguareth reached out to her. Looking out over the sea of perched dragons, she was able to pick out a very familiar and very bright shade of spotted green. Stealing one last cautious look around, the little green uncoiled, and like a small dart, made haste to where Yaguareth perched.
She paused only for a moment, to reach up and tenderly nuzzle Yaguareth's chin and cheek, before settling herself comfortably beneath her wing. I hadn't wished to disturb, but I would dearly prefer to watch with you. Already, she felt more secure and the Hatching far more appealing than being on her own.
She sent the green a wave of nothing but grateful, and adoring affection, before turning her eyes back to the happenings. It was surely a wonder. No girls, yet. Saving the best for last, clearly. As if there were more than two dragonets rolled out of the shell.

{Zaexillia - she/her - 16 - WW}
With undeniable summons pressing down on her mind and body in the form of bone-shaking draconic humming, Zae changed speedily into her robes, tying back her ginger waves in an unusual display of openness. It was time- and hopefully the last one at that. A sneaky daydream knocked on the door of her mind, but she pushed it aside: business as usual until she could steal away and sink into the privacy of her own world. This day could end well, or not... but until the last dragon found their lifemate, there was no way of knowing for sure.
She listened to A'ral's words, remembering the tension of the Touching, and the heightened sensitivity. Oh, how dearly she wanted to help soothe the nerves and emotions of the unborn dragonets, but that wasn't right. All she could do was present a good front, and to ensure her mind was a font of optimism and welcome warmth.
She sought out Ansirien on the sands, glancing around the Stands to locate F'gon and Farvath. "Hey you." A rare smile for her beloved brother, and she turned her attention to the eggs.
Though some were shaking with such vigoe Zae was sure they would explode with excitement, it was the Butterfly Egg that broke out first. The bronze- how lucky! - did not seem overly interested in the procedures of the Hatching, but perhaps he simply needed a rest.
Would this be Ansirien's day? She hoped the two of them might Impress together... And how desperately she yearned to bond to her own lifemate. As the Pink Striped egg wobbled, and the Teal Glow took off like an unstoppable boulder (whilst seemingly having forgotten to hatch), Zae watched, heart beating fast, ready to jump should she need to.
Yellow Swirl was next! These babies certainly didn't want to tease them! The young healer couldn't help but smile at the newborn brown's enthusiasm, not quite forward enough to give him a rousing yes out loud! She sung it in her mind, nails digging into her palm. What a wonderful, spirited creature- he had certainly brought the party to the sands.

Ansirien -- he/him, Western
The sound of his sister's voice at his side startled Ansirien, and he jumped a bit. "Zae," he greeted with a sunny smile. "It's so exciting, isn't it?" He watched the bronze dragonet snub the Candidates presented to him, the little Teal Glow egg roll like a trundlebug through the crowd, and the happy little Yellow Swirl egg hatch a happy little brown baby. This was a good Hatching so far!
"I hope nothing happens," he murmured to her, trying to keep his thoughts focused on positive, welcoming, happy things. "I really do..."

F'gon and Farvath
You've got quite a few little ones down there, Farvath mused, settled in high above while mentally slapping F'gon's wringing hands. Really, he'd gotten too fearful of things in the past turns - not that Farvath was completely unsympathetic. They'd both lost things....but he would always think F'gon could have been better about it by now.
Still, the bronze was content to be settled in to see how it all went and of course he wanted the best for the lot of them, reaching out to all of F'gon's grandchildren to offer soothing waves of love. Good luck. Keep your heads about you! he bid.
------
Yaguareth
She crooned softly as Felisath joined her, leaning into the nuzzle and continuing it along the top of the smaller green's head. Yes, this was an ideal arrangement and it pleased Yaguareth greatly to have her there, tucked safely under one wing and against her.
You could never have been disturbing me, for you the invitation is always open. Yaguareth assured with nothing but love in her voice. She'd say it as many times as needed, and remind Felisath of her love as much as required.
Idly twining her tail with that of the smaller green, Yaguareth peered down thoughtfully at the little ones that were out and about already. Of course. They're being polite and letting the boys get a little attention first, for now.

Teal Glow had no desire to stop.
Unfortunately, within it's roll, a very blue leg suddenly popped through, ruining the entire momentum. It tripped itself up (literally), throwing itself forward.
It definitely saw some airtime... And any nearby Candidates would feel a wave of excitement, and hear a trill of pleasure from within the egg.
Dragons were meant to fly... but maybe not enthusiastic eggs.
It landed square against Green Tribal egg, shattering them both immediately.
Unfortunately... The bronze who found himself suddenly, most unexpectedly hatched was furious. Eyes red, the bronze trumpeted, wet wings flaring and sending a good bit of egg goop directly upon Allamor, Bionden, and Zaexillia...
Fool of a blue brother! You forget your place! He snapped at the blue, fangs bared, and taking a small bite at the others neck and shoulder.
The little Teal Glow Blue squawked in surprise, half-stumbling back in retreat...but hardly seemed repentant. Instead, giving a loud bugle, it announced to EVERYONE: THE WORLD IS SO BIG!! Do you see this!?! It's... It's sand!!
Woah. IT. WAS. AWESOME.

Kadosse
She dared let out a squeak at the anger that the Green Tribal Bronze showed his brother, cupping her hands over her mouth to hide a frown - as though the babies could not simply read her mind and know it was there. It was the properness of the matter.
But perhaps Teal Glow Blue had been in the wrong to simply force his brother from his shell, even if it had been unintentional. Either way, the little guy seemed to be alright...or at least over it. Especially as he broadcasted his very first observation to them all.
"It is!" she agreed, finding some comfort in the declaration.
-----
Papys
And now there were two bronze dragons on the sands - tho neither of them seemed particularly thrilled to be there at that moment. Still, Papys kept his positive mind about him and a grin on his face.
"It is! A whole lot of it, little buddy," Papys affirmed about the sand, not that he was likely even a blip on any baby's radar right then. "And the world is big too - and lucky enough to have you!"
-----
Amahno
"It is! And you can play in it!" Amahno grinned, already happy to see his little adventure buddy so...thrilled with the world! Of course, it was presumptuous to call the blue 'his' buddy....but Amahno would hold a kinship with it for at least a time.
There were adventures and crimes he'd promised, after all. Well, he'd not exactly promised the crimes, but never the less.
-----
Josen
As the first hatched dragon changed his mind about the whole shebang, Josen couldn't help but laugh. "Sometimes after 5 minutes awake, I feel about the same way."

[ candidate lyfrocier ] - he/him - western
Two Bronzes, a Brown, and a Blue--Lyfrocier couldn't help but stand a bit straighter, craning his neck just a touch to see the hatchlings go about their...antics, for lack of a better word. Neither Bronzes seemed incredibly enthused to be here, but the Green Tribal Bronze was taking a much more active role in his displeasure than his sibling was. Was this going to lead to blows with the Blue, perhaps--? s**t, he hoped not. There was bound to be blood in the Sands by the end of the Hatching, but with any luck, it would only be a little.
------
[ candidate alisaide ] - they/he - high reaches
A runaway egg! Hadn't something like this happened at another Hatching they'd heard about--? Alisaide would have to check later, as their attention was now firmly elsewhere. The Yellow Swirl Egg had hatched into a cheerful little Brown, and it made their heart swell to see him so chipper after what had happened at the Touching. Hello, friend! Alisaide was genuinely overjoyed to see him, and they hoped that happiness could be felt from their thoughts. Welcome to the world.
