They'd briefly broken from formation to assist in catching a falling dragon, fortunately not put off by their own pain to do so. Still, there had been a brief moment on the ground to see that everything was taken care of - We'll come check in when all is done, Anakumath insisted and Marty relented, at least - before they were up again.
But they didn't linger to have their own injuries looked over. Instead, it would be time to flame Thread again - and Marty was rather thankful to have her Flamethrower not jam on her this time. She was personally going to watch its maintenance next time.

Things were starting to hurt less - which was making hitting things easier. Marty took a deep breath, watching the ash as it scattered down below them before running a hand over Anakumath's neck. How are you feeling?

The wind wasn't as insane down so low, and Anakumath was a big dragon. Still, Marty was pleased that their training had helped keep them in position. She'd been watching too many large dragons get blown about above.

It didn't take much effort to blink away from Thread that was suddenly doing the chasing, rather than being chased, but it was annoying. Niobet and Aedeth shared one brief moment of smug satisfaction as the ashes of that bit of trouble blew away with the next strong gust.
